Glad they kept the iconic boot shelves at the entrance to the pitch. Awesome memories for Gemma Bonner as she famously went toe to toe with Saurez. Missy Bo and Niamh are also joining her in living out their childhood dream. Nice memories for Matt Beard also as he won both league titles when the women were last there. Now he becomes the fourteenth manager to occupy the famous office. Would love to see a video where legends like Roy Evans, Phil Thomson, Kenny, Stevie Highway and Barnsey all come to visit the women’s first team / academy. Share old stories and memories with them, even coach a training session. Something with Karen Gill (Shanks’s granddaughter) would be really awesome too. YNWA

It is wonderful to see Melwood being a training ground again. The aura of the place is almost magical, and just being there will help the women's team reach new heights. It was also great to see the cameraderie amongst the players. 👍🏻
