I visited Country Classic Cars late this past Summer, snapped a few pictures, and sent them to friends,I let them know where the pictures were taken, and saw lots of interesting cars and trucks.
I had all four Skyliner year models in the 70s at one time. My 54 was clean and ran well. It didn't have elec windows, power brakes, fender skirts or a continental kit. Mine was a baby blue and white with matching roll and tuck interior. My headliner zipped on both sides to the front and there was a plastic tray that extended down that allowed the headliner to unzip, roll up and be stowed in the tray and fully expose the glass top or zip shut to hide it. My 57 was very clean and operational, the 59 was clean and operational with exception to some right side rear quarter damage that needed repair, the 58 was strictly a parts car. Sold all them over time and wish I had my 57 back.
To me the '52-'54 Fords were the best looking cars of that era. That stopped in '55 with the Chrysler "Forward Look". Those glass tops are rare. They cause the interior to really heat up in warm weather. Generally I don't like Continental kits but this one actually looks nice. Thanks for posting Jeff!
Gourgeus car colour stunning motor powerfull and big, automatic is that a 3 speed automatic inside like a cockpit or a hotel lounge, realy Nice ford, beautiful, thanks jeff and Jordan for this video i enjoy every moment from tom your friend now and always 🤩 🤩 USA 😎
Good morning, Jeff, this is a beautiful car! I’ve never seen a car with a glass top before! I love the color and the roomy inside, plus the chrome bumpers are nice! Thanks for sharing! ❤
It's amazing how many original unrestored nice cars you guys get. Good work. Waiting for you to bring a 56 Mercury Montclair w the glass roof to the channel. When I was a kid I wanted my Parents to buy one.
Back in my high school days '60 to '63, my friend Kemp Miller drove a seafoam green and cream car like this. First year of the OHV for Ford, he called it his "No-Go Showboat" and birds seemed to enjoy targeting the glass roof. I know it's just geezer babble, but I always find it amazing that a $500 car from my yoot, is now $25,000. Not too shabby ROI, eh?
Yeah, if we could only have held onto all the cars from our youth. I filmed a car a while back that was similar to your friend's car... ruclips.net/video/v236v2oqasw/видео.html
Nice car and good video, is the engine a 272 c.i. or 292? Was '54 the first year of the Y-block or was '53? We had a '55 with a 272 and Fordomatic. Wasn't that sure before that. Thanks.
I didn't know that the clear half-top was a feature on Ford. I thought that was Mercury only feature. IMO the Mercury sun Valley version looks better, particularly if you loose the continental kit. The Merc interior looks a lot classier too. I would guess that apart from the body panels, there is almost n difference between the Ford and the Merc.
I always like the Skyliner Ford cars, and this one looks really nice. I know they are rare, so I appreciate you finding this one Jeff and Jordan !
This really is a nice example. Thanks for taking a look my friend!
I checked your price for the 1954 Ford Crestline Skyliner "Glass Top" , that's an extremely reasonable price for the car.
Yeah, the car is already sold, but I thought others might like to see it anyway. It didn't last long at that price.
She's a beautiful example of what real cars looked like. My Mom and Dad bought a new 1955 Fairlane 500. 4 door. First car I ever drove.
Those Fairlane's were nice looking cars. Thanks for watching, we appreciate it!

another great vid from Jeff... he always takes his time, shows as much as he is able, these videos are the next best thing to being there.
Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!

I love how the Continental kit on this one doesn’t extend the bumper out so far like you see in later models from this era.
Yeah, it is a bit more understated than most. Thanks for taking a look!
Lovely car! The glass roof from this model year was often quite rare.
Thanks for watching!
Hi Jeff,

@@RamblinAround that's crazy. amazing for '54
Canada Manitoba Winnipeg Ford Crestline Skyliner Car 1954 🇨🇦 Playmobil
Is this car still available, and what is the selling price? Please comment back. Thank you very much very pretty car

I think it was a 239 cubic inch Y-block in '54....same as the flathead.
The '54 had a 238, or 239 y block and was the first ohv for Ford. Mine wasn't that pretty and was a 2 Dr sedan.

That does not look like an old bath air cleaner
That might be a '55 air cleaner, but it is an oil bath style. Like this one: www.deviantart.com/roadtripdog/art/Ford-Oil-Bath-Air-Cleaner-275087854
Nice but the the interior is not original
