Good video, thank you. I don’t have a fletcher yet, so maybe a fletcher will answer my question. I was hoping to hear you mention the placement of the fletching from the nock, as well as the distance between each fletching.

For spacing between each fletching the jig will handle that as the indexer is set for equal spacing (3-fletch or 4-fletch). As for distance from the end of the nock to the fletch, that is a bit of personal preference, but 3/4 of an inch would be a good spacing to not have the fletching touching your face when you anchor. Fletching jig clamps have markings so you can space it the same from fletch to fletch, but great question about how far up the shaft to place the fletch.

Cool video…did you ever see the “Cali-Bitz” decals to help with calibration when setting up the jig??

Is there a right jig and a left jig?

Most fletching jigs have an indexer and clamp that is either left wing, right wing, or straight.

What glue you use for it?

We have all of our glue here: www.3riversarchery.com/buy/arrows/arrow-building/glues-tape
It depends on what shafts you are fletching as for what works and does not. From there, it is a bit of personal preference. I've been using the Goat Tuff glue and accelerator a fair bit (as with the accelerator it goes so much faster). I am always fletching on an arrow wrap though.
