1 there exspsive to get 2 much more secure then just connecting them to a pole, you can try a 1 by 1 cylinder but good luck 3 you should be gratefull you still have a full set of those stairs
Those are so cool. I remember the first time I got one I got really annoyed because of how confused I got trying to put it together. And then it doesn’t have any studs. But I really liked it’s look in a build
It's so weird to realize that piece was originally a staircase core, as someone who grew up later in the 00s I'm so used to it being massive laser gun barrels on Exo-Force sets.
I’ve been playing with LEGO since before 2010 and the first time I ever saw the staircase core piece was in a Chima set. I’d seen the staircase fully assembled before in one of my cousins’ Ninja Turtles sets, but didn’t realize the piece from my Chima set was a staircase core until this video.
I loved these stairs. They were so fun to mess with when I was younger. I think I got them from either a Lego Elves set or some thing that were targeted for young girls. They were really satisfying and I really loved the feel of them sliding onto my hand.
I always liked these spiral staircases. I never got any of the sets with them until I found out this summer that they were used in the Monkey Kid Flower Fruit Mountain set from 2021. So I ended up getting that set this past summer & it was so nice finally being able to experience one of those after all this time.
My cousin was a make a wish kid and he loved Legos, when I'd go over to play he knew that was my favorite piece and would give it to me every time. I think I may try to order that piece specifically and give it to him for his birthday or something as a gag gift despite us being in our 20s now hah. I forgot this even existed thank you
@@stikbr5833 I mean you could animate with those stairs, but does it look natural compared to normal studded stairs? I've only seen forestfirefilm101 animate a character walk down those stairs and it just looks like the character was on an escalator.
The main purpose was it allowed for the moving and disappearing spiral staircase. The parts not that old, and has showed up in quite a few sets in the past year.
It might also be possible to motorise it to deploy and hide itself by rotating which could be a great mechanism for a hidden staircase in a build or a great ball contraption module! :)
i had the set built years ago, before it was destroyed by someone, and now the pieces are just nowhere to be seen. except for the stairs, there a lot of fun to twist
It’s funny as a kid I always collected legos and seen tons of pieces, this was in production when I was a kid collecting mass amounts of classic clones but I never touched one till I returned as an afol and built an Elsa set with my niece. Very interesting mechanic and nice video!

This is pretty good for Harry Potter sets because the stairs like to move a lot.

You're the first to mention Exo-force in forever😂 I loved that series back in the day

Bro I love this staircase. It helps make the Harry Potter sets feel more magical
nothing more magical than brown wooden stairs
@@ttdanimations1231
He's referring to the motion of the stairs, but judging by your animations you don't have a very solid grasp of the subject.
@@rustyshaklford9557 thanks for the view, i appreciate your support 👍

The shaft is a great minigun, too!
It really is.
all of my bionicles had those as laser cannons
Shout-out to my fellow exoforce fans lol
@@99basse76 Bro exo force was so cool. It was an upgraded Bionicle
@@hyperball01 Yeah it was amazing! The new ninjago mech can't even stand in comparison to the exo force mechs
I remember when I was 7 I stole the pieces from my siblings off of the Harry Potter Great Hall set and then it fell apart.
Wow you actually own the older Harry Potter sets ! They are quite rare.
It wasn’t the oldest ones but ones before the new green roofs

Ooh yeah I remember these I had one from the Vampyres Castle set
I wish they'd bring these back. You could build secret/hidden staircases for builds to look really cool with these.
i remember we had a frozen set with those stairs, i used to love playing around with them

I remember seeing these staircases in a few sets in the catalogs from my childhood. Always assumed it was one big piece. Very cool!
I love that stairs piece.
This Is An Amazing Build. Definitely Cool When Referring To Stairs.
I use to spin them around so much when I was bored 😂
Nice shaft.
Best part about these pieces is that the staircase can be HIDDEN
You can flatten the stack to look like a wall.
These stairs are something else. Pure magic
I love these
studded floors would be appreciated
Those pieces are really cool but it would be really hard to animate with
Not really

Yes it would be since you would need to use sticky tack.
These are really cool, the only real problem is the lack of studs on the steps
This is very creative.
I love that
I have that set and I still absolutely love it
I have these and I LOVE them
WE BE MAkING OUT OF KAUB WITH THIS ONE 🔥🗣️🔥🔥🗣️
IT CAME BEFORE LEGO HOGWARTS the first one was in their medieval set with the red knights having it in one of their castles.
I remember because I still have it today and I was addicted to those sets when I was younger
Cool bro!
I have this set
I remember this from LEGO games and I love it
I’d love to see a moc of a piano with those as the keys
This brick brings back so many good memories building my Harry Potter sets
I have one of those!!
Take a shot every time he says ‘stair pieces’
The specialized axle also makes for a great weapon barrel!
I have foggy memories of some handbook saying that a spiral staircase was impossible in Lego.
@@MogaTange There's a spiral staircase made with standard pieces in the modular bookshop.

finally some good youtube content
The way they did the spiral staircase in the bookshop modular was really well done without using these pieces, just regular plates and studs
I remember having the time of my life playing with these
It might also be possible to motorise it to deploy and hide itself by rotating which could be a great mechanism for a hidden staircase in a build or a great ball contraption module! :)

I had one of these!
What a good year that was

THAT'S WHERE THE BAR ORIGINATED FROM!?
Holy shit i still have that set. Most of it at least. Back when those things were affordable.
Fun fact:There is a set that is available to purchase that has the spiral staircase being Sirus’ rescue (Sorry if I get the set name wrong)
Always like those the best because you could change the direction, just like the real HP stairs
Oh that’s cool, I too have a specialized staff
These pieces are so cool. I got some in the lord of the rings weathertop set. Unfortunately if you lose one of them it ruins the system forever
I remember making them into a. Hidden staircase, so cool

I swear these pieces are the best way to make stairs

It was in the older lego bat cave set

I actually have the pieces and used them in one of my old house builds. I ended up using cylinder pieces and 4x1 studded plates for spiral stairs

those shafts where great for cannons

It’s annoying that they don’t stay in place..
Yes but satisfying too !
That functionality is what allows the temple of the Crystal skull set to work
