  • Picking up from the end of part 1 at the rally at Shipley Glen in 1908 through the period of militancy and came to an end with the start of WWI. Then women found themselves in demand in both the workforce and as nurses. They proved they could do the work of men (although not being paid the same). At then end of the war they were "rewarded" in 1918 (if you were aged over 30) to vote and receiving full voting rights in 1928 - just a few weeks after Emmaline Pankhurst died.
