This was the high end philips changer for the era. In fact you can upgrade de cartridge in the GA160 (same turntable without the amp) with a high end ceramic GP380 or a magnetic cartridge GP410 both high fi with complete frecuency response 20-20000Hz. So it's no budget by any means
Got 2 at home. But both seems to play a bit faster with 33 LPs. I’ve mesure the rpms and indeed I’ve got 35 rmps. Is there any hidden screw to adjust the pitch. ?
I have one as well and am having this same problem. I'm a newbie to turntables and I'm not sure what I need to do. My sliders also don't seem to change anything in regards to volume, bass, etc. I want to open it up but I'm afraid of ruining it
Hi - I recently come into possession of one of these machines and have established that the switch that powers the turntable is broken. Would love to discuss this with you if have a spare 5 minutes. Unfortunately I appear to be unable to msg you via You Tube. Thanks. Rob
Got one recently, was astonished it was fully automatic. And now i discovered the use of that extra rod. Amazing.

Nice machine! I've never seen a Philips auto-changer with that spindle.
Thanks, that's an umbrella spindle
