Jai ho beautiful bhajans bhai. Am a fan too. Just a quick question would you be interested in coming to Brisbane in the very near future. We are doing a fundraiser. If interested reply to this and we can take this further. Till then Jai Sia Ram bhai.
Firstly, thank you for uploading this sweet music, I have been enjoying this Fiji style for years. I respectfully have a couple of questions: 1. What language(s) do Indo-Fijians use in daily/colloquial communication? 2. I have noticed that two drums are used for kirtans, what is the reasoning behind this configuration and is it purely a Fijian practice i.e. is it exclusive to Fiji and is there any tradition similar to it in India subcontinent?
hey, for your first question, Fiji Indians speak Fiji hindi, but In kirtans and bhajans etc its sung in more shudh hindi , for the second question, I too myself have wondered this, but I do think it is a purely Fiji Indian thing because I cant find anywhere in India where they play like this
@@ryanraj9982 Thank you. I did not know the term shudh hindi previously. Agreed, interesting, the most similar way I have seen is with the tabla where the bayan is in the lap and the dayan sits on the floor.
@@DeeJayKanak ramram my friend, after a year i have finally found something similar to fiji style dholak, in uttar pradesh there was a video I found of a lady playing 2 dholaks in a similar fashion, but in my opinion it wasn't as good and sounded like she was slapping it not actually playing
This is the one of the videos of the girl playing, ruclips.net/video/I0T2wfszpn8/видео.htmlsi=bNG16B8cfrxuw8Zk , in my opinion it's not as good as our fiji style no disrespect to her
