    Gotta love the logic in using that ratchet strap that's rated to hold maybe 3K lbs tops to try and tow a 35K lbs or more semi and then trying to use it another couple times after it broke and was compromised.

    The overflights and interior shots of the wooden structures are not of the 'snow sheds' for the railroad main line. They are for a water flume system that is part of the Truckee area irrigation and water complex. Some have been abandoned due to the expense of repair. Some are awaiting rebuilding. Still the system is active and conveying water. There are some snow sheds still in use on the main line around Norden.

    the water flume by the truckee river is not a snow shed, lots of mis information here, and its snowing here today

    • @JonathanPetramala
      @JonathanPetramala  Год назад +1

      Bro…we were told it was a shed, we shoot it. But to say there is a lot of misinformation is itself a lie. We just got bad info and so we shot something that looks VERY similar. So back off the Trump fake news line and come back to reality.

      @@JonathanPetramala Not to harp on a 10mo old comment, but followed your link from your current 2024-03-24 video on Donner pass; just FYI misinformation doesn't really imply that something is intentionally false, just inaccurate, incorrect, incomplete, etc., or as you put it 'bad info'. The word that has the implication of being malicious or intentional would be disinformation. Point being it seemed you were inferring bad intent by the OP when I don't know that that was warranted. Cheers, thanks for the vids, very interesting and well shot.

    John, While the topic of discussion was on the railroad snowsheds you were constantly showing drone footage of the irrigation canals along the Truckee River. Why not just show the tunnels and existing tack bed? They are very easy to get to and a drone shot would easily put it in perspective. The "Snow fighters" do not work on the railroad. That is a unit of Caltrans that is based in Kingvale, just down the hill from Soda Springs. Placing your drone shots in just anywhere willy nily that doesn't pertain to that particular verbiage is very confusing for those of us living up there.

      Sorry we were given confusing info on the locations…and not being from there we didn’t have an idea. Hope the rest of the video was interesting
