    Having owned and driven a Peugeot van and car in the UK I have to give a warning in regard to Peugeot vehicles, they may look nice and pretty, BUT they are money pits and expensive to repair. Try changing a bulb in the headlights, designed without a thought for the user. And wait unit the additive for lower emissions needs changing, it's in a bag in the floor under the driver's side. I would steer well clear of any french made cars, they are not reliable and are full of issues especially with the electrics. If you have the engine warning light come on, you have to take it to a main dealer for them to plug it in to their computer and that costs money. Even a simple service you need to tell the EMU that you have done a service or it will kick out warnings at you and off to the main dealer you go.
    I would stay with Japanese or Korean cars, at least you know what you get with them.

    The lack of cupholders in the 2nd row and the weird placement of the cupholder in the driver's seat are concerning. And I think captains chairs with armrests would have been a better call than 3 seats in the middle

    While other Peugeots you reviewed like the 5008 look avant-garde, this one looks like the cheaper Chinese car brands out there (like a BAIC or something). I am not saying it's ugly. It just doesn't look the part of a premium van. It looks really utilitarian.
    Also that price. The GAC GN6 and the Maxus G50 (full-size MPVs) would be more compelling, if you want something bigger than a compact MPV (e.g. the Ertiga or Xpander). Or just go with the usual suspects like vans from Toyota or Nissan.
    Lastly, based on your reviews, I don't like that you always need to have a "learning curve" with Peugeot cars. The layout, controls, ergonomics takes some time to get used to, like they are trying to be unique in not so practical ways.
    Anyway, great review as always!

    • @brioblancaflor3662
      @brioblancaflor3662 2 года назад +2

      the learning curve is just a French thing LOL. WE arent used to it but most EUropeans are though

    • @CrossCuntyRic
      @CrossCuntyRic 2 года назад +2

      The learning curve is due to the fact that we’re used to Japanese ergonomics (which in itself is also over the place in Toyotas). Europeans actually find some learning curve with Japanese vehicles also because they’re used to this kind of layout. Also exists in BMWs Mercedes Porsches Renaults (eg. headlight toggles located on the dashboard, engine start location, instrument clusters on wiper stalk, cruise control having its own location)

      Also to add, the closest competitor of this is the VW Multivan and the Staria, which you can’t exactly classify as an “MPV” in that sense.
      The Staria and the Grandia are more expensive cars by half a million pesos in comparison. If we’re stacking it up with Chinese competitors you can pretty much say the Staria and the Grandia are overpriced at 3.5M. And yet people will have their own justifications for buying a 3.5M Hyundai.
      At the end of the day many people will gladly pay for a Peugeot and its features because it’s a statement. It’s not assembled in China, it’s imported from Lieu-Sant-Amand in France (yes France siya galing). It’s not an Asian brand; it’s a 150-year old European brand.
      Unlike its Chinese counterparts who are trying to sell themselves to the masses, Peugeot in the Philippines does not intend to be a mass-market brand and does not try to flood the market either (in other words, selling to ENOUGH people only) and potential buyers know peugeot doesnt make sense for most people, keeping it away from the hands of ordinary folk. Peugeot wont try to cheapen themselves out unlike how Volkswagen did here.
      Honestly Peugeot succeeded where Volkswagen should have but eventually didn’t.

    The GAC GN6, though smaller (an MPV the size of a minivan), is a very able 7-seater w captain seats at P1.215 M discounted price. Plus a 1.5 engine w turbo and a 6-speed Aisin transmission, the appropriate powertrain for an MPV (not a NA 1.5 engine).

    Unlike the super grandia,.At least this family van still has its cargo space that's very functional in so many ways,,.. Besides the very roominess of it unlike the super grandia that it only boasts of it's roominess.But lack of cargo
    But their difference is,.That this family van has abit of a down side and that's the lack of charging points,,..Since it only has a few
    Where in the super grandia,.Has loads of it! So for me that's what I'm going to say for this two vans
    But unlike! The Kia Carnival,.This Peugeot premium family van when going inside a drive through is a breeze,,..Specially in a tight space where the new version of the carnival can be a hassle to do
    And yeah,.For a van this size! A 360° degree all around camera should be a standard
    O also,.For me! Another downer would be the cup holder on the upper dash which can be prone to accidents too,,..Just like a cup of coffee just like Caco said
    Especially in sudden stops,.Your cup of coffee can spill off and literally burn you
    But nevertheless,.I am so speachless of what can it offer from the cargo all the way to the cabin space,,..Plus the fact that you can also switch places with the driver too w/o getting outside of the car.Since it has no center console box storage
    Changing seating position,.From the front all the way to the back is alrdy a hassle free and yeah? Nasaan iyong premium doon,,.. When all around that you set your sites on are still scratchable hard plastics inside the car
