I do the same thing- I keep my fathers and father in laws silver totally separate. Your grandmother has some great silver! You found an Engelhard tube, good of your friend to help. Nice offer from your LCS too!

@SilverStruck a friend at a local lcs, happened across that tube and set it aside for me. I was very grateful as he could've sold it on eBay.

All Eagles in the tube, that’s the best way to go IMO.

@pierredubord thanks for commenting. I like collecting unique coins, but then if you have to sell or use them, you're torn. Eagles and other numismatic bullion is a sure fire way to invest. During covid, Eagles had a super high premium, so I purchased Britannia at $3 over spot.
