After a person sees this video you must appreciate the incredible hard labor it took to harvest timber before the introduction of the chainsaw in the 1950s, no wonder people's bodies wore out so soon. This is a valuable and historical video of the evolving of the timber industry in Australia, similar to the US, but with some different equipment innovations.

Remember, if an infant dies at age 1 yr, and someone else dies at age 70, their average age is 35.
Now our bodies 'wear out' from too much sitting around.

I study forestry and love the Australian bush. Most people dont care for this and are attracted to city life.

city life is unnatural ... cities used to be places of high culture, but now they are teeming with degenerates... bring back the australia of old times. from a blackfella/whitefella mixed race... most blacks hate the white man they are belly achers... im proud and grateful the altruistic white man came here and civilised my people, truly

In the USA, all our large trees are gone, except a few in Parks. Does Australia have any really large trees like this left?

All our big trees have now gone and the only log regrowth forrests now. Any existing big trees are now protected.

seeing a big tree in australia is relatively rare, there is however some untouched wilderness and forests never settled.

I've seen a few dead 6 foot round redgums cut up with a husky 3120 in my area
