Holy Crap ! I was at this show, right up against the stage in the center. My third SRV show, mind blowing. U of B’s Spring Fest, and the day he received his Hamiltone Custom Setneck Strat with his name inlaid on the fretboard. Can’t believe I’m getting to relive it again !!!

Saw him at the Fox Theater in St. Louis, Mo. I'll never forget it. I still mourn his death. He had so much more to say musically speaking and we will never know. Just did a workout listening to one of his cd's. I'm 67 this month and play a little blues guitar , I am just in awe of his talent.

I could hear him singing into the microphone before it came out over the speakers. I was a Magical Night 👍

I don't understand that people put down buffalo as a city? Not seeing that you are but some of the best doctors in the world graduated from University of Buffalo. We have one of the best medical schools in all the world and other than that we're just an awesome fucking City

@@Davidjon1946 hmmm...The Skyroom, UB and Chautauqua was it Chenengo too? More than these few times. Buffalo is rich in people, culture and history. The City of Light. Do you the history? The Central Terminal, waterways and steel mills were the hub of THE WORLD. Not just the nation. City of good neighbors and still is. After Times Square , Broadway and Filmore was the busiest intersection of the WORLD. The Pan American exhibition, underground railroad, works largest steel industries and more. I'm all about the BUFFAL❤VE! GO BILLS! Tommy was diggin' a girl name Sue here for a while. Us Buffalo gals must be ok! I think he even wrote about her in one of the bio's. Did you see Hendrix at McVans before he was Hendrix? He stayed a while. I might add, every city changes. Austin is SO not what it was and Oak Cliff and that part of Dallas isn't like Southfork Ranch. A lot has changed in 30 years.

@@peterao9049 yes, but Cindi said, (we were working security) “oh, it’s going to be too cold, I don’t want to go on last.” And Stevie became the headliner. Saw him numerous times, this was probably the best and, if you remember, there was a fireworks display over the lake behind the stage and we were all pointing at that shit going off behind him and he finally saw what we were pointing at, started watching the display and choreographing his solo to the explosions. It was surreal and spectacular - the show of a lifetime. No shit, and I’ve seen a LOT of shows.
Oh, and there was this group of knuckleheads playing kill the guy with the keg, crashing through the crowd and my buddy Conroy jumped in and chaos ensued. Holy crap, what a day.
I have pix too, I reckon I should try to dig them up.
