Arctic Fox is a pretty good product. It's a temporary dye though, it washes out over time. We need Merchandise that says "Where are the Sections?" on it. Lol
Same thing with color rista ( sorry if I spelled it wrong ) people think it a dye but it’s only temporary and washes out easily that’s why I buy it because I have a job where I can’t permanently dye it
My daughter uses colorista in the summer to make the ends bright pink. But her hair is naturally a very light blond so it turns out ok. It's her hair. Lol
For me it took a while. And my my hair was burgundy. Ives used a ton of their colors and some do wash our faster and depending on your hair routine as well. I only use Them now because they are cruelty free and it doesn’t damage my hair
Just a fun story about pink hair, years ago I had an Aunt who was dying her curtains a very pretty magenta with Ritz fabric dye. She liked the color so much that she stuck her head in the bucket of dye and saturated her hair with it. It turned her hair the most vibrant neon pink I have ever seen. None of the hair salons in town would attempt to remove or cover the pink because her hair was so compromised from the fabric dye. So she had pink hair until it grew out enough to cut it off.
Wow 😂 I.would love to see a photograph of her hair..Thats not an easy dye product to buy here in the UK but I.did once do some marbling with it & was very impressed. Not sure how it would work but I.saw someone on tv amazingly dye an old white armchair with a fitted cover using this dye diluted in a plant spray bottle...I.was shocked by how well.it turned out !!👍 I.have also seen people dye white boots & high top pumps beautifully with ut to produce a lovely ombre faded effect ! X
The way you are saying colorista is killing me....lolololol please don't change! I love your content! I've been able to successfully bleach and color my sister's hair thanks to what I've learned from you while also being entertained.
I worked at Sally's for 8 years the thing that was funny was this woman colored her hair black and didn't wear gloves. She wanted to know how to get it off because she was baptizing the next day. I told her to buy a pair of gloves 🧤. Her hands were black black.
They work there. Don't ask them advice about hair coloring. They are not beautions. Just employee....not professionals...omg. go to a salon in the mall. Look at beautions working there. Check out different salons....
I love pastel pink hair, out of all the colors I've had this is my go to color. My hair is thick, coarse and a level 5 so obtaining the right amount of lightness is a hassle but doable. I always buy magenta and a big container of conditioner and mix my color to the desired shade that way I get the color I want and save $ because you'll pay the same for the same amount of a vivid color and a pastel. I also like adding purple near my natural root and the pastel pink on my ends for a nice ombre effect 💜
Omg yes ! I get 5 or 6 turns from My color tube this way rather then having to buy 4 tubes of already pastel dye ! For one go !!!! Perfect to be able to stay on top of your color for a long period of time :) I also find it has a bit more grab then already pastel dyes, pastle doesn't last long this is literally the best way to do pastle colors on a budget and frequently :) I haven't had mainstream colors in like 10 years hahaha I'm so with you on this !
Also, I make my own blonde toner like this as well, it takes some tweaking to find how you like it but again, saves alot of money and you can also mess with the amount of conditioner, and add hair treatment as well :) you can do this with your pink as well ! Also your color is stunning 😍
@@Michaelajade1807 thank you 😊! I'm surprised more people haven't figured this out, pastel color is such a scam and if you do it at the salon even more so because the color fades out after 2 or 3 washes. The other great thing is if you mess up and get it a little darker it's still ok because eventually it'll fade to what you wanted so definitely a win . I could never go back to my natural color completely 😁 , I'm regrowing my hair and I have to keep my front colorful otherwise I get depressed lol and even though I love a full head of pastel I also love the contrast of the pastel with my natural dark so hopefully I'll finally have both the length and color like back in the day before going bleach crazy 😅
Yes ,My hair has been pink, red, purple, blue platinum blond, and now I'm silver grey.I have loved all of the colors! Why you ask? It's because I went to my hairdresser that I have been going to for the last 14 years!!!! I trust two men in my life. 1st is my darling husband and the 2nd,is my talented hairdresser!!!!! I would never trust me, myself, or I to do anything to my own hair!!!! Love your show!!! when I go to the hair salon, the hairdressers will watch snipets of your show. They love your show as well👏👏👏❤️ Please keep it up,your are so talented!!!!!😎
I have went from blue/green to light pink. With A LOT of patience lol 1. Bleached (cream) 2. Dyed Semi-permanent orange 3. Wash daily with cold water for 2 weeks 3. Dyed semi permanent red 4. Wash daily with cold water for 1-2 weeks 5. Bleach again (cream) 6. Dyed with bright pink 7. Wait a week 8. Bleached with 10 vol Result: pastel/light pink
I'm a new subscriber, been watching your videos for 2 days straight now lol. It amazes me how knowledgeable you are! You know exactly what is going to go wrong and why. Definitely the best hair reactor I've seen on RUclips 😊
I’ve dip-dyed my niece’s ends with Arctic Fox during her summer break and it works well and is usually out of her hair before she has to start classes again. Love any product that smells like grape kool-aid! I’m nowhere near professional but I’ve watched enough videos that I make sure to section! Overtone is also nice for a more temporary option. I used their rose gold for brown hair during lockdown work from home and it added a nice light pink tint to my hair.
Be careful with overtone, not all of the colours are as temporary as they say! Helped my friend dye her hair with one of the pink and one of the red ones. The red faded out back to blonde surprisingly fast yet the pink was so stubborn to remove she ended up cutting it super short just to be free of it (although she did already want a pixie cut so it's not a super bad thing in this case). Never had the same issue with a pink other than iroiro which should be reclassed as permanent 😅😂
as someone who worked at sally for 2 years, you pretty much described the exact situations I would deal with😂 and then we would tell them how to help their situation, (to the best of our ability) and they would still do what they want to do.
i love how you pronounce Schwarzkopf :D Pretty good actually! (I am from Germany) its a tongue-twister 😂 I don‘t know if you knew but Schwarzkopf means translated Blackhead (Schwarz = Black; Kopf = Head) 😂
I have learnt soo much from you, I recently wanted to get old purple faded colour out to put in turquoise, I did a bleach bath, gently removed the purple pigments, then left my hair for a month with regular treatments, then put in the turquoise, with a strand test first, it's soo pretty! I love it, and my hair is long and healthy and not patchy at all. I will tell you, it took TIME! Using small sections to ensure every strand was covered. But the outcome is so beautiful. All because of your amazing tips. I appreciate your videos soo much Hair Buddha!!!
Schwarzkopf live is actually a really good hair dye line for at home colour, it's the one I always use, but a lot of the time the pastels have one star because people don't get their hair near light enough before using it or dilute it too much because the dye itself looks darker. Pastels and platinum toners almost always have bad reviews in boots
@@grannyweatherwax9666 That's just a sign of people who don't understand color theory and don't understand that their hair has to go through those different stages before it can get to blonde.
I've used their purple colours for years. Eventually I switched to semi permanent colours, because my hair was damaged because of the ammonia being applied over and over. But it definitely colours your hair. It's a great brand. I don't know about the pastels, though. Never used those, but your theory sounds legit.
Just turning 60 as a redish brunette fighting gray, I thought pink especially rose pink would be a nice color for me. Thank you Hair Buddha for explaining I'd have to bleach my hair first before going that color. I live in a very dry climate, although I love this look, not going to over do my tresses to get that look. You just saved me $$$$$
I have learned that you have to pretty much go platinum before you can achieve the right kind of pink or any pastels for that matter. I don't know if this is permanent dye or semi-permanent (and I'm not saying anything bad about permanent dye either or any brands of dye other than it damages the crap out of people's hair and makes it fall out sometimes) but speaking from personal experience, I have found it better on my hair to go with semi-permanent rather than permanent because it caused no damage on my hair. I dyed my hair a few weeks ago the color Periwinkle and it came out a little uneven the first time but because of the semi-permanent dye I had I was able to dye again yesterday the same color and it turned out pretty even.. 😌🙏 considering I've pretty much taught myself how to take care of my hair my whole life, going from a warm blonde to a platinum then to a pastel color has been quite the process and journey. It takes time and people shouldn't rush it and they would probably get better results.. I got to say it was worth having the patience (because I'm not a patient person) and worth the wait!!! ☺️☺️
The last girls!!! 😂😂😂 I love them!!!! I was rolling laughing when they went to Sally's and she had color in her hair! I LOVE these two ladies😂😂😂💕 I've always had great results from Arctic Fox and it has always given little to no damage from using it.
Iroiro neon pink was amazing in my hair! Super vibrant, faded beautifully, and stayed in my hair much longer than I would have expected. Also actually glowed under the black light. Lol 🖤
The 2nd girl looks so good in pink!!! If she could get the pink color even all over her hair it wybr amazing on her!!! Plus, Mid-life crisis??? She's like 18 years old!!! WTF?!?!?!
For anyone who love to have Pink hair and doesn't change color to aften! I have natural dark brown hair, 3 years ago i had highlights and tried different brands of Pink on my hair! Finally i found a brand "TECHNIQUE">Metal color/metal Fuchsia >>tube
Hair Buddha can always get a smile out of me no matter how bad the day's going! You can't help but pick up on his good vibes. Great way to start the New Year with your sense of humor armed and ready!
I've used Artic Fox before the Virgin Pink full dilution and I've used their diluter too too make a pastel pink. Hair Buddha is so accurate when saying you cannot have any dark or brassiness when going pink especially light pink. At worst it'll be patchy and orange and at best it's be sunset colors. Love your content!!! So kind and funny.
I’ve done several shades of pink out of the ones I’ve used my favorites and now my go to are either Arctic Fox or Ion Brites…. Been very happy with both over MULTIPLE bright shades ranging from pink to red to orange to blue to purple to green 🥰
I've used Arctic Fox Virgin Pink, loved it.........stays on for months! I've also used Arctic Fox Purple Rain, now named Purple AF (obviously people too young to remember Prince, I suppose) I loved this colour as well, hides a multitude of yellow tones in bleached blonde highlights before I was due for my next toning💆♀️ Pay an absolute bomb to get this stuff to Australia, but amazing, long lasting results💃 You do need to get hair to level 7~8 tho, but that's not an unrealistic unobtainable level💖
Arctic fox is super bright. When my hair was bleached I used it a lot. Between full colors I used it with conditioner to maintain a color so it didn't fade as much.
Directions hair dye in flamingo pink, carnation pink and cerise are the 3 best pinks I’ve ever used. They fade really nice too and cerise can be used on brown hair. I’m currently in the process of washing cerise out. It’s taking some time! It’s pigmented.
I love these three! The rose red is a lovely magenta too. I use a scoop of Directions in my conditioner to keep the colour topped up as I wash my hair 5 days per week (trying to reduce it from 7 - I've such oily skin and hair😭)
I used different colors from Arctic fox, have been always satisfied with the results. But yes, you still have to look which tone your Hair has got. The color in the bottle doesn't change from Air or something, it's just a bit like mixing watercolors. If your hair is more yellowish and you put some blue on it, it definately becomes greenish, easy as that.
Pravana in Wild Orchid is such a standardly good pinkish-purple dye in my opinion. My surprisingly good pink was by Punky Color! I think I got it in Rose Red, or their Poppy colour. I messed up using it the first time (I had never diluted a dye with conditioner before and used too much pigment-- I was trying to just add a little more pink to my rose gold hair. It was a beautiful mistake though!) but the colour was great, and lasted well.
I always use arctic because it’s always long lasting, i also add their electric pink to similar colors if im dying hair because it adds a bit more product without changing the other color either much or at all. Arctic Fox Forever✨
IMPORTANT: 😁 I just have to say I've watched almost all you RUclips videos and it has made me a confident and knowledgeable employee at Sally's beauty THANK YOU SO MUCH! I promise to never just suggest T18 and quick blue ! 😂😂😂😁
So i worked at Sally’s for a little over a year and in total, I had three people come in mid process in different ways. One person came in needing bleach and having half a highlight cap done with longgggg hair. One person came in with half a head of green and realized that they didn’t have enough color and then we didn’t have that color so she ended up having to do a split dye with blue. And then the last person came in with 3/4 of her head done, bleached, and it was dry like powder by the time she got to the store. Needless to say her hair didn’t process much unless she added more bleach or completely fried off. I did graduate from cosmetology school so I was able to help her as far as advice to not fry her hair off, but I still have no idea what happened after she left. 😅
@@dianabananaa2195 How exciting! I went through cosmetology school in the summers in high school but I never got a chance to use those skills. Sally's would be the perfect place to at least try to help people not mess their hair up too badly!
So, I've had very pink hair over the years for very different reasons. I use the brand Splat! because my hair takes it better than other direct dye (like Manic Panic). The boxes are fun because they INCLUDE the bleaching kit along with the color. HOWEVER, as you (and Brad Mondo) point out, there are certain pigments that come out easier than others. I wear a lot of colors in the blue\cool tones, because I know red is hard to get out. I discovered, by accident, that bleaching purple out leaves me with bright pink, not blond. I laughed myself silly and my husband said he liked it so I kept it for awhile. Other times I've done pink on purpose. Never the pastel because personally when I want color, I want COLOR. Best result was Splat! in the color "Pink Fetish". Gave me a very vibrant fuchsia that stayed for a long time. I do look good in redder tones, but I like people\blue\green more, to the point that my hair currently is a faded ombre of those 3 colors. And let me tell you, foiling my own hair, especially the back, with no help, is an exercise in shoulder strength!
Hi :) I have naturally icy white hair. I had an ombre color that was pastel baby pink (FROSÉ) at the roots and faded into a pastel baby blue (Periwinkle). Both were Arctic Fox conditioning surface hair color (no ammonia, no bleach, etc.) deposit only. Arctic fox works well, makes hair shiny & soft (and side bonus, it smells good - no burning nose or stinging eyes from fumes). I loved it while it lasted (semi-permanent and pastel, I knew it would fade & disappear). Got a ton of complements on it :) A side note, because it's a conditioning deposit only product, leaving it on your hair for a little bit longer won't cause damage.
Yes!!! Please try what everyone else fails at and then show us ,using their products, the right way. Then we will know if the product is truly bad or the people are truly idiots🤗 It would be so much fun!
So many people go for pastels and are shocked when they won't cover, Pastels will only work on the lightest hair. You'd be better off getting a stronger pink and diluting it a bit. I like Arctic Fox's Virgin Pink, although it is a very deep pink, like fuschia, but it is very pigmented. I have also used Adore's Hot Pink which was definitely lighter. Have not tried any other pink.
I'm older, and have a fair bit of silvery grey hair mixed in with my natural dark brown, hip-length hair. So, instead of bleaching, I use direct dye to color my silver and give my brown a little something extra. I've been using Adore Neon Pink for years... It's super pigmented, and it stays in my silver for months! I will literally put one or two squirts into a bowl of conditioner and it makes my hair super vibrant. I love it, and get lots of compliments on it!
Ha ha! Me too! My hair started going gray very early but grayed slowly. I never wanted to bleach my hair so I waited on the gray. I’ve been over-dying my natural brown/gray hair with Manic Panic’s Infrared since 2017. I love it! I get a lot of compliments and it lasts FOREVER on my never-bleached hair. I do get hot roots but it’s never bothered me and even as the silver roots grow out, the dye fades off the hair closest to the scalp and gives me this kinda cool blended silver root.
@@sierrawave I’ll use Clairol Beautiful Collection dark warm brown to color my grey (it’s a rinse, so no peroxide/ammonia), then Manic Panic Vampire Red over that. Gives a nice burgundy sheen to the hair.
Arctic Fox is Fab!! Semi permanent. Smells like grape. Really vibrant even on my natural mid-blonde hair. I use "Virgin Pink" - its a lovely shade of purpley pink. 💕💜
I’ve never dyed my hair. Growing up my mother was against it so I just never did it. But I love watching others dye their hair and learning form their mistakes if I ever choose to in the future.
I thought it looked so good on her and almost a champagne blonde, she’s so pretty. Although I know what it’s like to be expecting/hoping for one thing and getting another. It made me laugh when he said she’d be another one to be complaining about the product - he’s so funny!
I know, she could have just gone straight back in with a semi-permanent pink and boosted it if the colour wasn't bright enough for her. It looked like a step in the right direction to me.
As I saw the pretty blond girl with her very long hair and only 2 boxes, I was "oh noooo, that's not enough" 👀🙈 2 times a year I don't only do my regrowth but my whole hair and I need 4 to 5 boxes to fully saturate it (my hair is hip length and I have A LOT OF hair, that's why I have an undercut in my neck 🙈). I only dye red or red-purple or dark colours... never ever bleach by myself😱🙈
Really useful video. Since a 'home' dye disaster in Feb this year, my hairdresser does my hair pink, not pastel though it does fade to that over the weeks in between. Between colours I use Bleach London Rose Pink Shampoo & Conditioner or Lee Stafford Conditioner in 'Playful Pink' just to keep the pinkness visible x
I do pink face framing streaks. I don't do it all over and my hair is very light already and porous from bleach. I've used a couple different shades and brands and best I've tried is Iroiro, neon pink. I tried their bubblegum but it rinsed out too quickly for me. A lot of people have found the neon (which also glows under blacklight!) impossible to get out which is fine for me and actually what I wanted. It hasn't been that hard for me...some people cant get it out with even bleach but it definitely lasts longer than other pinks (Arctic Fox being one).
I mean, perhaps if the first girl had curled her hair, the patchiness would’ve looked much less obvious? I thought the blonde and the light pink looked really pretty, and that the pink eyeshadow complimented her hair. And I would’ve never guessed that she had actually run out of hair dye if I hadn’t seen the video of the process ahead of time. But that’s the beauty of Hair Buddha; I learn new things I never knew about before when it comes to all things hair 😊.
I've used arctic fox for years and am really pleased with it. A while back I made a mixture of a bunch of the different left-over pink and purple direct pigments that I had (iroiro pink, manic panic purple rain, arctic fox violet) and it ended up making a really vibrant pink/purple color over hair that I had bleached to an orangey yellow; it lasted quite a long time and faded to a yellowy pink color that I liked a lot. These days I only use arctic fox and i stick to aquamarine mostly - i don't like bleaching my hair so much that it turns white so aquamarine works because it's a blue-green color already and the yellow just emphasizes the green tints. But i also have curly hair so it doesn't matter as much if they dye is patchy or spotty because the curls break up the imperfections in the dye.
I've used schwartzkopt to due my hair pink and purple, but I'm a natural blonde and it was my natural I started our with. I think the one star is more that people don't use it correctly than the product it's self, btw your hair will never look like on a dye box,as very few start out with virgin hair.
very important to point out, I think a lot of people rate skincare like that. they won't check skin type the product is for, or how to use it and all of the sudden their skin breaks out and is worse than it was before. 1/5 would not recommend 😂
My hair is coloured by Olia deep rose. Depending on how much colour has washed out it changes every time. It’s very very difficult to maintain. I’ve tried Live but I have a very light bleach base and was happy with it but my new colour is better xx
I have been dying my hair pastel pink for about 3 years! I have used Adore, Kiss tintations, manic panic, pulp riot, ion, iroiro and Arctic Fox pinks! I would say that Arctic fox is the most reliable and endlessly modifiable choice! It fades beautifully and doesn’t stain the hair like iroiro and some others I’ve tried 👌🏾👌🏾 A video testing some of the options out there would be great!
I’ve used vibrant pinks on yellow-bleached hair, typically the direct dyes like Joico, Arctic Fox, and Manic Panic. The magenta pinks have been successful, the lighter ones usually come out orange. I have also bleached my hair to white and used permanent pastel pinks, I especially love the cooler shades of pink. You definitely have to get to white for permanent colors. I use 20 vol developer unless the brand calls for a different volume, the color lasts slightly longer if I find a matching color depositing conditioner. I adore pink hair.
I think if you could do a "tutorial" showing how to avoid common mistakes & also explain why these happen, like giving us the theory behind it (i hope you understand what i mean, I'm trying to explain but i can't think of the right words lol) that would be amazing!
I have been doing my hair vivid orchid using Pravana semi-perminant for 11 years. My hair is salt and pepper, I only use 20 volume cream developer on my roots for about 5 minutes as these colors tend not to take to grey hair. To initially bleach my hair for this color, I used 20 volume 2 times first to bring it to a medium orange. My shadow roots are violet and need to lift to yellow for the violet to be as true as possible.. I also use a bonding shampoo, conditioner...no coconut oil 😂 and deep condition after, very cold, filtered water, in my stainless steel sink as it stairs everything. Be patient, you can't do this in one day and it is a commitment. Unless u plan on going all dark or even black again to cover this I dont suggest doing it at all
I like Arctic Fox, it has great saturation and is very gentle on your hair. I don't think it's actually possible to damage your hair using it. Problem is people have very unrealistic expectations of it. Even with their most saturated, brilliant colours, if you put that over top of dark hair, you're not going to have vibrant, My Little Pony-esque hair and you're definitely not going to have pastel. Their coverage over natural grey is superb! In my case, I've got a handful of greys and with the Arctic Fox, they come out almost metallic.
I used a pink hair dye from got2b once. It was supposed to wash out in couple of weeks but it stayed for months. It got lighter over time though. But my hair was pink. Like fuchsia pink
Great video! A constructive editing tip: boost her audio a little bit because she talks very quietly compared to your audio. I had to keep adjusting the volume everytime she talked and again everytime you talked. ☺️ I love your videos!
Im never doing my own hair, but as a trend hairmodel i have had almost all colours and cuts possible. Ive been a model for 19 years, and ive been used as a Goldwell competition model for 5 years.. 🥰
So happy to see the positive Arctic fox. I’ve been using it since it came out in a few colors and I’ve had a few. When my hair was dark i mixed my own burgundy and it was vibrant forever also thanks to My hair care routine lol But yes Arctic Fox is the BEST imo pet they are cruelty free and non damaging to my hair ❤️❤️❤️
I’ve been bright pink for two years now - my go to is 50% Manic Panic Hot Hot Pink and 50% Directions Carnation or Flamingo Pink (depending on availability!) about every 7 weeks … The absolute key to maintaining against the fade is I use Punky Colour Pink shampoo in Pinktabulous once every ten days or so (that stuff is the bomb, expensive in the UK, but seriously seriously worth every penny!!) 💕 The best part is that I only have to touch up my roots every couple of months, I use Schwarzkopf Color Expert in 10.2, but the rest of my hair is fully pink now so the condition is super good from not having to lighten it anymore 💕
My three year old had pink hair for a while, her natural color is a very dark blonde and we live in LA so she has sun lightening too - I added some of my red manic panic to her conditioner and let it sit for ten minutes and it was adorable. Washed out no problem after she didn’t want to keep doing it pink anymore
For years I keep returning to Adore Soft Lavender, though to me it reads as more pinkish than purple to my eye, especially against my skin tone. Adore also looks true to color so I know what my hair will look like. I dilute it quite a bit with white hair conditioner so it's less of a saturated hue/more pastel (and the bottle lasts longer) and doesn't look as harsh on me. I try to lighten my hair to a very pale blonde first. Sometimes, especially if I'm low on Soft Lavender, I will mix with Adore Pink Petal, or even a couple drops of Fiesta Fuschia or some other shade of pink. I hypothesize if I begin with an already pastel shade, when I dilute with conditioner, I am left with more pigment and don't have to recolor as often than if I start with a deeper/more vibrant shade of pink and diluted that down to a pastel shade. I've let my roots grow out but keep coloring the ends. Soon my whole head will grow out to brown again, and I'll have to decide if I bleach everything and start over again, or try to just bleach the bottom (but I don't want a harsh line; bleaching everything and letting it grow out is the best way I know to eventually get a nice, even ombre when doing this on myself.) Thx! ❤
Please start your videos with that face at 16.40 and say: COLORISTA! 😂 I like both of them! Keep going on hair fail videos, they are funny and lot of people can learn so much useful things from you! (If they would like to) Thank you! 🤗
Omg so glad i go to the hair salon and get it done right ..your videos are amazing thanks so much and love see you live was amazing to thanks hair budha..
I have had decent luck with Arctic Fox, I actually used it on my young daughter's hair that I didn't want to bleach and it turned sort of maroon (her hair is auburn,) we did it at the start of the pandemic and it was a fun little boost for my bored little girls. My favorite brand that I've used is Iroiro, but I've never used their pink, just purple, blue and black.
That is what I used to... And I love the way my hair smells after dying it. It lasts quite a while too.. 🙂🙂 I thought about Manic Panic too to see which is better, but I haven't yet...
I had used Schwartzkopf life in the past, and 1) On lighter shades there is an info on the box saing it's for bleached hair, if your hair is darker you might get a slight tint, but that's all 2) hair needs to be caked in it, if your hair is at chin lenght you might need more than one box 3) they tend to fade quickly, Colorista, which is from the same price range, lasts longer.
This was very entertaining. My hair is professionally double processed to get my hair from dark blonde (stubborn european cuticle) to very pale blonde. I used to have my colorist tone me an icy pink, but even with Olaplex in the salon and at home, my hair lengths were overtaxed after a while and I was grabbing more of the violet/blue tones and losing the pink tones too quickly. We switched me to a toner just suppressing the yellow and when I want my hair pink or any other color, I use a Maria Nila color refresher. For cool pastel pink, I use Pink Pop, Pearl Silver, and White Mix in a 4:1:12 ratio. Works great, doesn't damage, conditions my hair, and is very little commitment as it washes out in 2 to three shampoos. Jou videos zijn heel leuk. Dank je, Haar Budda. (Sorry, my Dutch is very rusty!) My profile pic is semi/demi toner before I switched to the Maria Nila products.

Just a fun story about pink hair, years ago I had an Aunt who was dying her curtains a very pretty magenta with Ritz fabric dye. None of the hair salons in town would attempt to remove or cover the pink because her hair was so compromised from the fabric dye. So she had pink hair until it grew out enough to cut it off.

True! I buy a dark pink and dilute it with conditioner. That way you save a lot of money.
This guy is brilliant, educational and totally entertaining ❤️
Color-rista 🤠👌🏻💕
Directions Cerise on lightened hair is amazing shade of pink , so bright . It's lovely.
With A LOT of patience lol
1. Bleached (cream)
2. Dyed Semi-permanent orange
3. Wash daily with cold water for 2 weeks
3. Dyed semi permanent red
4. Wash daily with cold water for 1-2 weeks
5. Bleach again (cream)
6. Dyed with bright pink
7. Wait a week
8. Bleached with 10 vol
Result: pastel/light pink
I'm a new subscriber, been watching your videos for 2 days straight now lol. It amazes me how knowledgeable you are! You know exactly what is going to go wrong and why. Definitely the best hair reactor I've seen on RUclips 😊
He is a wonderful teacher. I've learned a lot from him.
Tabitha Trick. Arctic Fox is owned by Kristen Leanne and is, by what I have heard, a very good brand. 👍
Arctic fox is Amazing!! ❤️
as someone who worked at sally for 2 years, you pretty much described the exact situations I would deal with😂 and then we would tell them how to help their situation, (to the best of our ability) and they would still do what they want to do.
Been there worked at sallies for almost 3 yes in Virginia and Texas same situations in 2 states
i love how you pronounce Schwarzkopf :D Pretty good actually!
This is so true, the reviews saying bleach turned their hair orange is my pet hate too!
You need to bleach it for pastel tints
@@grannyweatherwax9666 That's just a sign of people who don't understand color theory and don't understand that their hair has to go through those different stages before it can get to blonde.
I've used their purple colours for years. Eventually I switched to semi permanent colours, because my hair was damaged because of the ammonia being applied over and over. But it definitely colours your hair. It's a great brand. I don't know about the pastels, though. Never used those, but your theory sounds legit.
I use it, Im their spicy blonde colour right now. It's lovely.
Lol 🖤
Iroiro is greaaat, there was NO purple in that dye and it gave me dream bubblegum pink I was obsessed
That first person was not English, she's Welsh! So Hair Buddha was able to pronounce something a Welsh person couldn't 😁
The 2nd girl looks so good in pink!!! If she could get the pink color even all over her hair it wybr amazing on her!!! Plus, Mid-life crisis??? She's like 18 years old!!! WTF?!?!?!
Using your teeth to rip caps off of bottles is like something you're going to regret when you get older
For anyone who love to have Pink hair and doesn't change color to aften!
I have natural dark brown hair, 3 years ago i had highlights and tried different brands of Pink on my hair!
Finally i found a brand "TECHNIQUE">Metal color/metal Fuchsia >>tube
Pulp Riot’s Jam is a really nice pink purple. I really love their brand. Fading is minimal and no bleeding at all! Smells nice too and isn’t drying.
Instant positive mood boost❣Hair Buddah has arrived to save my day. 🌞✌🏼❤

@@lindalarsen1704, Well said. ✌🏼🌞
I really live the pastel pink on her!
I've used Arctic Fox Virgin Pink, loved it.........stays on for months!
I've also used Arctic Fox Purple Rain, now named Purple AF (obviously people too young to remember Prince, I suppose) I loved this colour as well, hides a multitude of yellow tones in bleached blonde highlights before I was due for my next toning💆♀️
Pay an absolute bomb to get this stuff to Australia, but amazing, long lasting results💃
You do need to get hair to level 7~8 tho, but that's not an unrealistic unobtainable level💖
Oh, forgot to mention, I heavily dilute both colours with white conditioner, strong beautiful soft pink, soft purple hues that last for months💃🇦🇺🤗
Once again, you made my day! I wish you and your family a healthy and a happy New Year!
Arctic fox is super bright. When my hair was bleached I used it a lot. Between full colors I used it with conditioner to maintain a color so it didn't fade as much.
That's what I do. I mix some Arctic Fox in with my conditioner to prolong the colour.
Directions hair dye in flamingo pink, carnation pink and cerise are the 3 best pinks I’ve ever used. They fade really nice too and cerise can be used on brown hair. I’m currently in the process of washing cerise out. It’s taking some time! It’s pigmented.
👍 same .
I love these three! The rose red is a lovely magenta too. I use a scoop of Directions in my conditioner to keep the colour topped up as I wash my hair 5 days per week (trying to reduce it from 7 - I've such oily skin and hair😭)
I love how much fun They have 😂❤
If only they had your guiding hands Hair Buddha!💯
😂
I just did my hair Bright pink I used splat . Yes I bleached my hair to pale yellow with fine sections 😊it turned out great.
All of those are great- I like adore for bright and deep colors too.
I always use arctic because it’s always long lasting, i also add their electric pink to similar colors if im dying hair because it adds a bit more product without changing the other color either much or at all. Arctic Fox Forever✨
💪🏻
IMPORTANT: 😁 I just have to say I've watched almost all you RUclips videos and it has made me a confident and knowledgeable employee at Sally's beauty THANK YOU SO MUCH! I promise to never just suggest T18 and quick blue ! 😂😂😂😁
If people are coming into Sallys with half dyed hair and hair fails, I need to work at Sallys! STAT. I want to be "the lady at Sallys."
Wig....Halloween.
I use manic panics hot hot pink. It's very vibrant, and can easily come out of hair if you want to change it.
Yeah it would be cool to see a side by side comparison of pastel pink on level 10 vs darker.
I have learned so much from you and my hair is in better condition than it's been in a long while. Thank you so much. Happy New Year! 🥂
I have to laugh so hard every time you say Schwarzkopf 🤣🤣🤣 regards from 🇩🇪
Schwarschkopf🤣🤣
Happy New year hair Budda to you and your family. May it be filled with good times, good health and good fortune. Greetings from Ireland
My hair was a beautiful Champagne Pink once, but it wasn't planned that way LOL!
Thank you for teaching ne so much this year! Happy (early) new year to you & your family
Exactly what I wanna do when i start going silver!!
@@kelpfaced It really is fun! 😁
I mean I have grays too but my natural color is this mouse brown shade, it's just bleh. I think I would dye my hair even if I didn't have gray hair.
Ha ha!
She called her brother to help lol good professional help 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Compared to many others I’ve seen the second one was not that bad for her to be crying like that. 🤣
You pronounced Schwarzkopf very good👍👍👍
My daughter has medium brown hair and she uses pink flamingo and cherry on top from Punky color and it’s beautiful and fades nicely 👍🏼
Love that marshall cabinet!
I love hair buddha!!!!!!!
Your reactions to the hair fails and the hair products they use to do their hair is hilarious!🤣😅
😂
I’ve had pink hair for about a year now and I adore it! I use Arctic Fox’s Frose (their pastel pink) and it’s my absolute favourite! 😍💕
But i also have curly hair so it doesn't matter as much if they dye is patchy or spotty because the curls break up the imperfections in the dye.
sections, sections!Hi hair Buddha thanks so much for sharing.i love pink hair!👜💟✂💺
"Sssssectionsssss"😂😂😂
I always look forward to your videos Hair Buddha, thanks for making my day brighter❤️
It fades beautifully and doesn’t stain the hair like iroiro and some others I’ve tried 👌🏾👌🏾
A video testing some of the options out there would be great!
In the words of our favorite hair guru, “Don’t Do Dat! Section!”
😂
Oh my,gosh. "Colorrrrrista" 😘😘🤩😆😆😆😆
Unless u plan on going all dark or even black again to cover this I dont suggest doing it at all
Very Happy and Funny New Year, Dear You!!! And thanks for your videos and so precious advices!!! Be very Happt!!!😘🧡💛🧡🐾🐾
Oh ok, thx for the tip
Im never doing my own hair, but as a trend hairmodel i have had almost all colours and cuts possible.
Ive been a model for 19 years, and ive been used as a Goldwell competition model for 5 years.. 🥰
So happy to see the positive Arctic fox. I’ve been using it since it came out in a few colors and I’ve had a few. When my hair was dark i mixed my own burgundy and it was vibrant forever also thanks to My hair care routine lol
But yes Arctic Fox is the BEST imo pet they are cruelty free and non damaging to my hair
❤️❤️❤️
I’ve been bright pink for two years now - my go to is 50% Manic Panic Hot Hot Pink and 50% Directions Carnation or Flamingo Pink (depending on availability!) about every 7 weeks … The absolute key to maintaining against the fade is I use Punky Colour Pink shampoo in Pinktabulous once every ten days or so (that stuff is the bomb, expensive in the UK, but seriously seriously worth every penny!!) 💕
The best part is that I only have to touch up my roots every couple of months, I use Schwarzkopf Color Expert in 10.2, but the rest of my hair is fully pink now so the condition is super good from not having to lighten it anymore 💕
I adore watching your videos! Tysmfs!
Please dont damage that stunning hair!!!!
Please start your videos with that face at 16.40 and say: COLORISTA! 😂 I like both of them! Keep going on hair fail videos, they are funny and lot of people can learn so much useful things from you! (If they would like to) Thank you! 🤗
Pink hair is on of my favorite colors after 9.2, really love it and would like to try it again but it's soo demanding to take care every month u.u

I have bleached hair and dye it with directions. Works great!
Yayyy I'm early. I love your videos so much. I don't think I miss a single one
Thx for watching
Joico is my personal favorite. I've been every color of the rainbow and that's my goto dye.
Love ya! Handsome young man!
