    WOW! After all the brush removed I see that is a large yard. The lady owner must have been in tears seeing how it has become so overgrown and felt helpless. You are making such a difference in her life. I hope the sewer issues can be accomplished and she can move back into her home. I know she is dreaming of the day she can return. God bless you and Tyler for all you do.

    Lift the blade as high as you can, drive forward and drop it as you reverse out. Pushing the brush ove to cut just bogs down the bobcat.

    • @TopNotchLawns
      @TopNotchLawns  2 года назад +16

      Yeah it’s got safety features that don’t allow for that

    • @gailatkinson1908
      @gailatkinson1908 2 года назад +21

      That is a shame about the safety features. Every one I’ve seen you could lift fairly high which also helps to grind it up better on the way down.

    • @TopNotchLawns
      @TopNotchLawns  2 года назад +13

      @@gailatkinson1908 yeah I agree!

      If the safety features won't allow you to pick the cutter up no higher than that you might as well have a front end loader out there pushing it up.

      @@TopNotchLawns The safety functions are there when the device is not in operation. There is sure to be the release somewhere if you want to work with it. You just have to really look where the release is. The device has lever arms on each side to lift the plate to work and to push the bush from top to bottom. Otherwise another great job! 👏☺️

    Brave soul. Saw someone use a similar setup on a difficult overgrown property, so that looks like a likely equipment choice. Your work today is reminding me of what Sean at Blade Mate has been going through. A property that got so far beyond the owners ability to cope that it was no longer really recognizable. You are bringing back a completely different and earlier version of the property. We could see it had been beloved and planned for but this is really changing the wear and tear of the years. Looking forward to the view of the final cleaning and power washing the house. Congratulations on working on such a big project and getting it done.

    This little home looked so abandoned until you came along. Now it is beginning to show as a revealed hidden treasure. I don't know much about property value but I can not help but to believe this work has added some value to her little home. What seemed to be a postage stamp lot now seems like acreage! I checked everyday for this brush demo from the moment you announced it was gonna happen. While watching I was longing to see the little place powerwashed... THEN AT THE END YOU SAID IT WILL BE COMING!!
    NOW I WILL BE ON PINS AND NEEDLES TO WATCH THIS LITTLE DIAMOND SHINE! LOL!
    This little lady must be thrilled to see her home sweet home get the TLC it was needing and that she could not do herself! Thank you for giving your heart to this job. God bless you, your family, the labor of your hands and the sweat of your brow... and Tyler too!

    Funny how different people think, I'm used to front garden area being fenced/hedged/bedded to either Hide the neighbours or show off the house. So seeing neighbourhoods where your front gardens more or less run open into each other is "weird".
    That said, for an elderly (or anyone not big on gardening) clean lawn, a few good trees for shade, and patio with flower pot or two, is as beautiful as full on botanical garden.
    This has been a lovely series to follow and I hope the homeowner was as Lucky with people who fix sewerage problem as they have been with you and your son fixing her garden. 🙂

    When you use your week eater to start at the top of a bush and drop downward to lower the top and then do the bottom. I seen you do it. Same applies with the Bob Cat. Raise that boom high and come down on the big bushes. That brush hog will cut that mess right down to the ground. Do that instead of running straight ahead into the bottom of the bushes. You will get more cut in less time. Good videos I watch every one of them.

    One minor " critique". I watch Andrew Camarata use one of those. If you keep the mower down to the ground, while in reverse, it shreds everything up into tiny mulch. As you reverse the mower deck raises up, at some points, almost a foot and all that sticks and limbs go uncut.
    I have never used stump grinder. I had a 40 yr old maple tree I cut down. I had a 40 yr old pine tree I cut down. I rented one for four hours and cut the stump and roots up. After I returned it, I told them it did a fantastic job. He said "You cut up a pine tree stump"? and I said yes. He said "How did that go"? I said "Like a charm". He said he had TONS of complaints that those did not work on pine tree's and the stump grinder would "jump" and take forever.
    I said "I watched some youtube video's before I even rented one of these and they all said to go from the left to right and right to left in slow even strokes. They said "do NOT try and take a 4 or 5 inch deep swipe or they will jump up and down on you. So I took slow swipes about 2 inches deep and it took less than an hour to do the stump, down to about a foot below the yard level and then I cut up the roots". He laughed and said he'd pass that on to future customers. So for 4 hour rental I paid $120.00 instead of $275 for the day. I got a few estimates to do those 2 stumps and the lowest was $600. When you are on disability, they try and take advantage of you, so I did it with a friend who was thrilled to learn how to drive one.
    You've made that entire yard look inviting.

    You definitely work hard even when you have a big tool. I would love to run one of the bobcats...they have more power than my JD loader but they cost much more for that power. Can't wait to see the final next week. I am sure the lady loves what you have done for free-from a stranger she never knew. Great Job-your name TOP NOTCH LAWN CARE is true.

    Amazing job!!! My friend lifts the bush hog and then drives over it, he claims it’s easier and doesn’t drag the trees. I thought I would share that should you want to try it. This is such a huge transformation, ❤️👏🏻

    Firstly you a doing an incredible amount of excellent work but I wonder in the weeks that you have been working on the house has she made any headway in getting the septic issues resolved or getting things ready to move back? I sure hope she isn't just hoping to get back in her home & it's not even a reality for whatever reason.
