Brings back memories of when I was in high school mid 70's there was a farm boy who's older brother had that same car to the T. Even sounded the same he would come pick him up from school cause the bus took to long and they had chores to do. When farm boy got his license he showed up in a 1964 nova sedan with a 4 cylinder painted purple like the Super Sport six him and his brother put it together it would blow the doors off most all of our bad-ass cars back then. My 65 mustang 2+2 289hypo couldn't take it. (Sweet memories)

I love these junk videos where everybody is a hotrod mechanic)...and NOT 😂

My Father in law had a Chevelle that he bought new while in the military. He took it to Germany and then back home to the States. He drove it from the east coast to the west coast many times. He ended up selling it when his Grand Daughter needed expensive dental surgery. He absolutely loved that car. He is a selfless man who puts family before all else!
It’s called life and when it happens, you got to deal with it your father-in-law put out the big buck to make your wife a more attractive woman and her later years you should thank him at age of 74 I got all my teeth except for a few big ones in the backand you don’t notice it that had to do with genetics. Thank you Jesus.

I love Mopars also but this Chevelle is definitely a cool car in its own right and in the end a cool old muscle car is a crazy cool car. Really I love them all but I love Dodge the best and own a 69 D-100 , 318 truck and have owned a Roadrunner and other Dodge / Plymouth vehicles but I’ve also owned chevys and fords as well over the years. I do like certain models, engines and features of each different brand and even some euro and Japanese stuff like Nissan Z cars as well ( Z’s are so much fun to bag on ! 😄 , they just seem to want more gas pedal all the time ! Or is that just me? 😄 ) but mostly Dodge probably because of growing up in a small town and watching the Duke Boys as much as humanly possible and also 68 / 69 Chargers! My favourite car of all time! Completely destroyed my first four cars! 😄 . Always had buddy’s with cars of every brand as well. Growing up as a kid until well into my 40’s my Dad had a white and blue 1970 Oldsmobile 442- W/30 package car with 455 Rocket 4bbl, factory hood scoops and hood locks , dual gate shifter etc. He just sold it a few years ago now , even with Pop’s beside you in the passenger seat that was a fun car to drive as a 16 year old kid ! He’d even tell you to put your boot into it real good here and there if you picked a good spot where nobody was around 😄. Even as a kid before you could drive I still remember lots of times Pop’s would just pull up to the stop sign 🛑 look over at you and smile from ear to ear as he stomped the gas a burned off in a cloud of smoke and rubber as the big block 455 roared to life! Haha! Makes me smile 😊 just thinking about it and my Dad as a younger man. He always babied it most of the time and it was in spectacular condition it’s entire life and it still is but every now and again it was driven like it was built to do ! It was in the family for a crazy long time probably about 35 or more years but a really serious collector offered what he wanted if he was gonna sell it. That guy did a 100% resto on it and It ended up on the cover of Bone Stock and Modified car magazine. ( Issue #18 if remember right. )
