NEO hit it on the head when he talked about the change in market prices. Once the sunshine and rainbows went away, what else this there to talk about? No one wants to sit around and hear about how they overpaid for their collection. I mean, back when it was sunshine and rainbows, all we wanted to talk about was what we could make money on. You can’t really do that now.
What a great discussion. I absolutely hate the “drama” and the constant attention it seems to get, what I hate more though the upsurge or change in channels who have become attached to this drama, milking it for content and in essence “ambulance chasing” any disagreements or perceived drama to mine for more content and views. It’s sad that this seems to be what sells, but I’m with one of your guests on this one, I’d rather be a small drama free channel than a highly viewed soap opera provider.
It's the dumbest, most pointless form of "content". But the majority of comic collectors aren't very bright so it's an easy way to get consistent views.
@big90sspec9 yea me on the other hand never once spoke about it on my channel that's the difference between channels looking for clicks and channels that want to just talk to the community and about comics
Harsh reality: The reason drama sells is because most people just don't care anymore about Top 10s, Market predictions, CGC unboxings, Marvel movie chat or your collection or your "latest haul!"...zzz Since Covid, when so many of you (the royal "you"), decided to create a channel and talk about comics it's all just become redundant. Some of you were reading about issues in the CGC forum then racing to be the first to put out a video on it. Views became more important than content. And sure, some people have a favorite they follow and "like" everything they do, but it takes the right personality to earn that. Some just don't have it (no names, because some are on that panel), and others may have a personality... with boring content. But thankfully people like Thoro, Nemesis, and even Sticky (acquired taste until you realize he's just being goofy 100% of the time), are willing to talk about more interesting stuff, like the drama. It's either that or yet another video about why a book is now a key because of some movie trailer. If I wanted to learn about a book that increased in price, I've read it long before you recorded it. Interesting content, in general, is simply lacking. So basically what the community needs is more Epic Nation and various Con incidents....and less of you. There's just too many, lol. Decide amongst yourselves who goes 😉
C2E2 was when I first got a clue how effed th hobby is... and then that message was routinely reinforced at every turn. Th last two years have been a steaming POS for what used to be alotta fun.
The fact RUclipsrs have to argue and fight with one another when it comes to comic books is just sad cause I know I don’t care and just skip the video. This is why I prefer channels that focus solely on comic books, cgc news or just show them finding awesome collections and videos of them at comic-cons. Anything outside of the above is a waste of time to watch and pointless. If I want to watch drama. I have Netflix and Hulu for that.
15:56 if people believe in the aftermarket value of comics shouldn’t all you guys be buying up all the keys books right now? Like shouldn’t you guys be talking up a buyers market? 🤔
2024 was a year of intolerance for anything and everything between differences of opinion. I am not referencing the factual things such as those at CGC or Mike Wilson leaving CBCS to head PSA comics. Comic Nation was just plain theft. What happened to two people disagreeing but are still cordial to one another afterwards?
You guys should be embarrassed by even bringing up a mentally challenged person like sticky goose. That would be like your neighbor’s 11 year old making fun of you on his driveway & you getting upset.
Drama and covering Hollywood drama and creating drama is the only way to get subs and views to sell or promote your comic unfortunately. Don’t y’all like stickygoose cause of drama and he’s “funny?”
I want a comic book about the comic book community, there’s some good arcs this season.
You know we are bored when we focused on drama
Blame the RUclipsrs for keeping you bored.
8:12 - 100% agree with Ryan, Automatic Comics.
This is the first I’m hearing of any of the RUclips comic drama. So…thanks for not foregrounding it too much swag lol.

This video was incredible.. hopefully we take a different approach to 2025
Social Media breeds drama...just facts
I guess I completely missed the drama. 🤔
Good. More comics, less drama.

I think Swag covered a ton of drama topics during 2024 and was even invited onto one of the drama kings of 2024 channel
They all cover it, to different extents, they just want to pretend otherwise ;)
@big90sspec9 yea me on the other hand never once spoke about it on my channel that's the difference between channels looking for clicks and channels that want to just talk to the community and about comics
What percent of drama do you think became actual drama because of the content creators deciding to post videos on it?
90%
The mainstream media/news has been profiting off of negativity and drama for decades upon decades. RUclipsrs have picked up on that.
I blame Drake😂

As the kids would say...comic drama is so 2024.
Yes kids would have said that… in the 90s lol. Jk we have fun here

Drama discussion, so OF COURSE Big Drama Drew is in the thick of it! jk Drew 😁!!
Seriously? I just finished filming my first RUclips video creatively titled, "Top 10 X-Men Comics!!!" Hmmm time to hit the drawing board again...
I tried, but 2 cool guys doesn't out way the stink of the rest.
My 2024 was pretty much comic drama free..why? I tuned the ego maniac comic RUclips Influencers out!!!!!
Unfortunately drama is more interesting then not for most people.

I hate to tell you...comic books are super soap operas

Pokemon market moving ahead of comic movement?
Pokemon market is loaded with scammers I see constant scam posts on a fb pokemon group I'm in lol

Sticky Goose is bad for the hobby. Just saying…
