I live in Georgia. I just want to say The Lord kept me safe through the storm. I lost power at 7:30 am, trees fell on power lines and down they came. Snapping Shoals EMC had my power back on by 2:30 pm Thank you Jesus!
Praying for all of you in NC and TN. We were initially on the "dirty" side of Helene but it veered east of Athens and we were spared. Watching the devastation on the news, hope you and your family are safe. ❤🙏
Thanks for sharing, I'm just like you ,I have passed by this place alot and thought this place looked really cool by the design, but I looked up some of the reviews and they were mixed, so many of the food reviews were just average, nothing special, thank you guys for all you do.
@davidpierce5612 You are very welcome. Yes, I've driven by it for years, and thought I'd always like to stop. I would do it again. I think with the storm coming and everything, that might have kind of thrown a kink in things. But I had no complaints at all about the seafood. The hush puppies were really the only thing.
Prayers for Lisa's family and for those affected by hurricane Helene. Ginger and I have been to eat at Pirates Landing many years ago. I can't remember if we were impressed with it or not though. Been too long.
If you’re ever close to Charlotte, North Carolina, go to Captain Steve’s in Harrisburg. They’re not far from Concord. They have great seafood. I think you would like it.
It’s in Elkin NC. Dobson is about 20 minutes away from Pirate’s Landing, and Mt. Airy is about 35 minutes away from there. It’s awesome to have RUclipsrs visit Elkin! Hope you guys have a great trip.
I looked up the address, I did change it to Elkin in the title and the description. Not much I can do about the words in the video, or the thumbnail. It was exactly 8 mi from our motel, which is Dobson. That's why I thought it was actually a Dobson address.
Sometime when you are in Mt Airy, i highly recommend 13 bones. They have a pretty diverse menu and everything is reasonably priced. I'm sure it's a place that you would enjoy.
Hi, my mom loves your videos and has since introduced me to them. We love watching together. I feel guilty to ask with everything going on, but would you keep my mom and family in your prayers? We lost my grandmother, my moms mother in June and it has been especially hard on my mom. She’s going through depression and really struggling right now. Thank you! By the way the seafood looked good.
@Ashley.Loving We absolutely will. We understand that loss, as my wife went through the same thing 2 years ago. We are very sorry for the loss of your grandmother.
Looked good. Have fun at Mayberry Days. I would love to go there. Loved Andy Griffith show. I still watch the show. I have it all on dvd's. God bless. 😊
We are in Gaston County and I had heard of this fish camp and was very excited about seeing your video. I think the building is so neat. Plan on eating there soon. Hope you have a blessed day. 🙏❤️🇺🇸
I have to say you guys are the sweetest loving couple I have encountered on youtube. I love watching your videos. By the way your wife is just gorgeous. I can't wait til you guys make it here in Baltimore Maryland I have text you this before. Would love to show you some great restaurants here especially our local seafood you have never eaten crab cakes until you have a jumbo lump crab cake here and also great steamed crabs
Thank you so much for watching, and for your kind words. We are so glad that you enjoy our channel. We don't get to Baltimore a lot, but we actually did stop for lunch there on our way back from Pennsylvania, back in June. We went to Nick's Seafood. I know Baltimore has a lot of wonderful seafood places to try. I wish we could have stayed longer, but unfortunately, we had to get back that night for work the next day.
My wife and i have really enjoyed all the post you have made. We very seldom comment, but we hope all is well with you, your family, friends, and community. We live about 45 minutes away for the Louisiana coast north of Grand Isle and have experience numerous storm threats. God has always kept us safe though out all of these storms. We can totally relate what your part of the country has gone through and have kept all of you in our prayers and thought. Wishing for the best for all of you, all. Hoping the hear good news about your situation.
Yes, she made a Facebook post on our page, to let everyone know how we were. The western part of North Carolina near the Tennessee border, was absolutely devastated. We lost power where we are, but it was not hit nearly as bad as it was there.
I have ate there a few times over the years and always enjoyed. Hopefully if you try it again it will be a better experience. It is just such a neat looking building.
@@JenniferHollins-e4e It really is a neat looking place. And it wasn't a bad experience. We would definitely try it again. Glad you have gotten to try it, and have enjoyed it.
We were impacted some, but only minor inconveniences. Many people in the western part of our state, either lost their lives, or their homes. We were blessed.
Hope yall enjoyed your trip weather has not been the best it did get better Friday evening we live in Dobson , have never eat there thanks for the videos
So sorry for the loss of your friend Lisa. I been praying recently for her and her family and friends. I appreciate the update. Yall stay safe. I haven't heard any news from Mt Airy today in regards to Hurricane Helene so I'm hoping that no news is good news for them. I have family in Asheville, Hot Springs and Franklin. Hot Springs has been devastated. Also have family on vacation in Bryson City and Pigeon Forge. They are obviously stuck there for the time being but they are all safe and in hotels. I'm afraid this will be a long recovery for Western NC.

The restaurant was neat looking. I couldn't see if the flounder was thick. It looked good. Have a great day in Mayberry today. ❤❤😊
@@cathymcgee1674 I wouldn't say the flounder was really thick, but it wasn't thin, either. It was adequate. Just wish it had been a little bigger.
