Great to see that she has confidence to come thru and be shown as the star that she is. Very deliberate and tweak of how this song comes across. She made it her own. Amazing singer.
To be fair everyone sings this and make it their own considering the original was sung by Judy Garland in 1939 and nobody sings it like the original. It's a make it your own kinda song.
@@ThelSuperlKing Not even Judy Garland sang it like the original as an adult. In the movie the Wizard of Oz, at 16 years old she sang it very simply. Later on when it became her signature peace in her concerts, she greatly embellished and dramatized it.
@@imanewberry Technically this is very good but it is underwhelming for the following reasons: 1. This is AGT. The song is truncated to a bit over 2 minutes. 2. Eva Cassidy's organic highly nuanced emotional live version.
Just an average tone that many ppl have and not impressed but I agree her vocal range is powerhouse! Pretty Broadway kind of artist. Her half tone and vibrato skill is a way behind of many young RNB singers like Ariana Grande. But I can add she is so beautiful. For this type of singers need to stand out by her versatility!
I thought the exact same thing at the end, I definitely thought she was going for whatever note you sang there loud and belty-ish instead of the light and airy
@@JohanBesterYourVocalCoach only the audience could vote for this version of the show. They decided the drumline act deserved to be in. A lot of the audience doesn't even know that is a classic song just by sheer age gap. Perhaps Simon picked the wrong song. I personally would have preferred seeing Loren get that spot in the final over the drum act.
They did AGT Champions. They even asked Lindsey Stirling to be on the 1st season of Champions even though she wasn't a champion on her previous appearance on AGT. This very successful artist did a kind of "you're kidding, right" reply, pretty much telling them "not a chance." She said that she didn't want to put herself through something as taxing as that again. Besides, she's a multimillionaire with a lot of successful songs and albums. Even ranking at #1 on Billboard's Classical Crossover list. There was no need for her to return. They couldn't improve her career so what's the point. Though Lindsey's not a vocalist, but an amazing dancing violinist. She has had multiple singers join her in doing her songs. Such as Lzzy Hale from Halestorm doing "Shatter Me" about Lindsey's breaking free from an eating disorder. And even with Amy Lee of Evanescence doing "Love Goes On and On" with her. She'd initially sent Amy the song to ask her about ideas for lyrics and Amy sent back the entire song's worth and offered to sing it. I hope you react to some of Lindsey's songs. It's a great rabbit hole to go down. Great reaction though.
Hi! you should react to argentinian singer “Luz Gaggi” i think your gonna love her, she was on the show “the voice” here in argentina and now released her first album!
Loren is quite a good singer. It is a good thing that now she has the needed exposure. Another singer you need to check out is the outstanding vocalist Morissette Amon. Morissette made a cover of Never Enough on the Wish bus and you be the judge who sang it better between the two as almost all of the 50 or 100 people who reacted to Morissette said that it is now her own song. Morissette also made a cover of Andra Day’s Rise Up and again, it became a better version of the original. Pls check her out and you will be astonish why people had said she has to be one of the best singers in this generation. More power to you.
I would not use Wish Bus recordings as examples of artists' singing because they are pitch corrected. Likely not when the artist is singing, but in post production.
@@fredbloggs6080 No, the greatest deception pulled by the Devil in the 21st century is to convince people and great singers their vocals are enhanced and the song is increased in its quality by using pitch correction.
@@ThelSuperlKing That too. I meant to say "pulled" not "played" so I just corrected my earlier comment. I think a lot of time the artist have no control about what is being done by the producers. Lady Gaga said that, until I guess she started the jazz singing and standards with Tony Bennett, all her hits were autotuned and the public never heard her real voice. I even heard autotune applied to one of Angelina Jordan's recent releases on her Christmas album.
I never understood why Loren had to wait for five years before revealing that she was the voice behind Never Enough in The Greatest Showman. After that fantastic performance, she should have been recognised as the star she is… Anyone commenting knows what the story was?
If you google her name and Parade Magazine, you’ll see an interview she did with Parade about 1 week ago that gives an in depth description of what happened to her over the years, including the 5 year wait.
Not that she can't sing, but I find it less of a power song, than a dreamy song....but the interpretation is geared to the purpose, far too commercial😢
Doesn't matter win or lose she's already a superstar
It was the best I ever heard and seen and in my opinion she should of won! Beautiful voice and pray she and know she will go FAR!
Agreed!
please analyze her version of never enough! it’s so unique and the best version i’ve heard of her live !
I heard it... and agree 🎉🎉
Absolutely stunning

She said as a child she would practice for hrs and hrs in her room.
That makes sense... thanks for sharing 😊
She also works with a very good vocal coach.
Both of her parents are music teachers

So sad she didn't make it to the finals.
Oh no... I was afraid that would happen 😩

And now for something completely different (very cohesive in its style): Sarah Vaughan - Somewhere Over The Rainbow (Live from Holland 1958)
I agree with your subjective opinion. Very effective reaction. Thank you.
Thanks for watching! Really appreciate it 🙋🏻♂️

Sounds interesting - I'll definitely check it out! Thanks for the comment 😊
I'm glad they're calling it but it's correct title, *Over the Rainbow* instead of the commonly used *Somewhere Over the Rainbow* .
America got it wrong again on all these trash talent shows because America doesn't know talent. She was best talent by far and still is
I've been watching AGT since it came on air many years ago. Singers rarely win no matter how good they are
Most people vote purely based on their immediate emotional response 🤷🏻♂️

No comparison with Morissette. Loren is by far the best. Far away 🎉🎉🎉

The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled in the 21st-century is to convince the world that pitch correction doesn't exist.
