I am just _baffled_ by how poor the instructions are when you buy a Novation product. They offer all this free bundled software and seriously don't even tell you how to make it work in Ableton. I can't believe it. Thanks.
Hi, I have a problem with Ableton Live 9. It stopped finding Addictive Keys. I've been installing and uninstalling, and still nothing. Could you give me a tip?
Hello, did you update to the latest version of AK? Are you running a 32-bit version of Live? Please get in touch with our support team here: www.xlnaudio.com/support and they will help you with this.
Hi Amit! You can change the plugin location path in the XLN Online Installer on Windows. Simply go to the "Advanced" tab in the XLN Online Installer and you'll see it. In theory you should definitely be able to use only one folder for all your 64-bit plugins.
Hi there, I'm sorry to hear that. What happens when you try to load it? Does it show up in Ableton at all? I assume you're running Windows and not Mac here.
Hmm, strange. Let's try refreshing the dll file in your system. This is how: 1. Search your computer for "Addictive Keys.dll" and delete all files with that name 2. Run the XLN Online Installer and let it repair your installation. This will ensure that only the correct plug-in file is left on your computer. 3. Go to the Advanced page in the Online Installer. That page will tell you where the 32-bit and 64-bit Addictive Keys plug-in DLLs are installed. If you're running your host in 32-bit mode, then you want to use the 32-bit plug-in file and vice versa. The next step is to check the preferences in your host. The option is usually named "Paths", "VST paths" or "Plug-in paths". In those preferences, add the path to the correct plug-in and then hit the Rescan button. After that, try loading Addictive Keys again. Did that help?
sorry I have the same problem, windows 10, ableton live 9, 64 bit i've done everything correctly but can't find a way to have the dll file show up in the plugins on the daw
Make sure it's the Regular Program Files, and not x86 Files if you're on Windows... Spent hours trying to figure out what was up lol.
hah thank you very much
That's just basic knowledge though
huh, all my other plugins work fine in x86 but not this one
In Ableton 11 you have to go to Plug-ins tab (not File folder tab)
additionally - make sure you have "VST-3 plugins in systems folders" turned on. mine was off by default. then scan for plugins.
this was very helpful, thank you!
Thank you very much. This was so helpful!!!

I'm sorry to hear that. What happens when you try to load it? Does it show up in Ableton at all? I assume you're running Windows and not Mac here.
