I love how you positioned pitching as another way to market your professional services, rather than “being “salesy.” It’s so true, and this one little mindset shift can make all the difference!
You’re doing your client a favour by taking beautiful photos for them of their products/ recipes. It’s your photos that will help boost sales, bring brand awareness and make their business thrive so you’re doing them a hugggge favor!
I love this video it has some really great tips. But as someone who is new to pitching and also an introvert it would be wonderful to have a brief pitching example or even be able to purchase a pitching template. Once again thank you for all the tips. It's very helpful 🙏✨☺️
Glad you enjoyed the video. I was going to suggest my masterclass which breaks down my cold pitch process as well as an invite to my paid program, Food Photography Bootcamp but I saw you attended that just yesterday. Have also got another video coming up on pitching mistakes soon! Let me know if you have further questions!
Love this. I have started building relationships with local chefs, wineries and farmers markets. So far it's a lot about teaching them the value of great images VS cell phones. My take away is showing up in my social media. Grrrr......never know what to post. I am actually starting a new personal project. I found my grandmother 1950's vintage collected recipes. I want to pick some to recreate and bring up to more modern way (fresher ingrediance/not boxed or canned) so maybe this could be a SHOW up reel.
so glad you found it helpful. Educating clients on the value of of strong imagery is such a great idea. You can even create it as a PDF that you can send all new enquiries or perhaps as part of your cold pitch too. it's always about the value you can show. With regards to social- don't overcomplicate it. Have a basic story schedule. Something like the following: M- what you're working on for the week/ BTS T- this or that style poll W- Q&A T- Highlight a blog post F- repost some of your favorite reels that have performed well recently Hope that helps!
Here are the steps I’d take: 1. Build a portfolio of work strategically targeted to your ideal client. This will build experience but at the same time, get your portfolio up and running 2. Start to cold pitch to your ideal target clients and follow up. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have more questions
Great tips for anyone who is struggling to find clients. Thank you for sharing! We have made a video on this topic too, will be posting it soon, just need to edit haha!

If we are just starting out with 0 Experience, 0 Portfolio, 0 Clients...how can we get started booking clients?
Here are the steps I’d take:
1. Build a portfolio of work strategically targeted to your ideal client. This will build experience but at the same time, get your portfolio up and running
2. Start to cold pitch to your ideal target clients and follow up.
Hope that helps! Let me know if you have more questions
