I just came here to say, that I keep a backlog of your videos to watch when I'm down. You're such a warm, cozy, wonderful human person. Just watching you do your thing is like sipping a warm tee in front of a fireplace. You're the sole reason I drink coffee with cinnamon now. And I vicariously collect squishmalows now. I'd actually like to see your entire collection put in one place sometimes (or do they have their own room by now?)

Thank you so much for explaining how terrible first drafts can be. I quit writing because my first drafts were always trash so I thought I was trash. Then recently I realized they are supposed to be trash and that's what editing Is for. So happy to be writing again with less critical eyes.

You sharing your early drafts has really helped me get over my perfectionism + first draft anxiety. I’m someone who really struggles with early drafts because of how messy they are, but your method has really given me more perspective on how to approach it. It really kills the comparison mindset many of us writers fall into. So thanks :)

You are just the cutest, sweetest most clever of lovelies! I adore your sense humor. I’m so glad you got a computer stand and that you are enjoying it. (I was the one who asked about why you didn’t have one a few weeks ago). ☺️💜

Omg. I love this concept. I don't have enough Instagram followers to pull it off, but its still great! and while I haven't played Night in the Woods myself I've seen others play it and it's such a cute game.

This is so nice and cozy!!! I'm currently drafting (which is my least favorite part of the writing process). This one is like the messiest one I feel like I've ever written and it's nice to know I'm not alone!!

I’m doing Nanowrimo right now so I love hearing you talk about how messy first drafts really are! I always wonder if other people have cleaner first drafts because mine are unreadable, but good to see we’re all in the same boat.

I loved the idea of letting IG pick what you do for the day! Looked like fun! ❤ Would definitely like to see more videos like this!

Absolutely LOVED this video and how relatable everything feels with messy first drafts (I'm currently going through that as well lol). Would love to see more writing vlogs with asmr's of coffee making and typing though. Those are my favorite to watch, but love a necessary squishmallow haul every now and then 🤣

Loved the vlog! And you're right, I love hearing about authors talk about their drafting process. So often others only see the finished project- it's nice being able to see where it all started and be reminded that at some point, all stories start out as imperfect scribbles.

    Enjoyed this cozy/casual writing vlog!
And thanks for continuing to share what your early drafts are like! I’m working on a middle grade fantasy/mystery and even though I know it won’t be anywhere near perfect the first few drafts I still get hung up on that and the words just stop flowing. So this really helps! ❤ Now back to my “outdraft”! Lol

I absolutely loved this! Please do more videos like this in the future! Somehow I missed this on your IG, so I couldn’t vote! 😭
I love a good Squishmallow haul! They are so cute! I collect Squishables, which are slightly different.
I love that you made progress in PROJECT PYRO! It sounds SO good! Thank you for being so transparent about your first and second drafts. My first drafts usually have a lot of placeholders as well. I am writing a first draft of my Young Adult horror and even though it’s loosely adapted from one of my pilots so that I have some structure, most of it is still discovery writing.
