My former home break 30+ yrs. ago, it's designated as bodysurfing only. World-class bodysurfers now rule this world-class wave. Breaks like country (steep/fast/ hollow) but it's in town!
Best body surfing wave on the planet. Too bad it's always packed beyond belief with guys who absolutely rip! Hard to get a wave out there if you are visiting. Truly a cultural and historical site.
good on ya bra! It is a nice wave! hate to say it but the way things are these days a respite from boogie boarders and surfers is a blessing! Yes sharing is a good thing but in this day and age how often does this happen at other place's without a heckaling or a beef ! Im guilty of that myself used to Give Shane Dorian hell for being a boogie boarder on the big isle 25 years ago !
sucks that this is a bodysurfing wave only and if you really think about it thats really messed up...so many of these waves go to waste but it is what it is. really good wave its a shame though
Maybe because that's bodyboarder Jeff Hubbard. Now a three time IBA World Bodyboard Champion, four time IBA Pipeline Champion and eleven time United States National Title holder among many other championship titles. He just couldn't help it! Hahaha!
I got nothing against bodysurfing! I love it myself, I do bodysurfing, bodyboarding and surfing. What I don't understand is why a beautiful wave can only be ridden by one :( If you really think about it there's really no logical answer. The ocean should be shared by everyone!
@@mamacitadelosperros533 oh yeah ik what you mean but yeah that’s giving them what they deserve if you get mad Sandys isn’t a good spot to paddle out with no experience haha
Such an underrated sport in the surf community

Surley these guys eventually went and got their bodyboards nd surfboards, right?
Nope. Bodysurfers are bodysurfers. Purists.
How come we don't get wave li dat here on Maui?
4-6 ft hawaiian is what da uncles told everybody at da bar that night
"2009 Redwings Memorial World Handboarding Championships. Waves were cranking in at 4-6 ft Hawaiian scale."
WTF ... that's like 1 to 2 foot Hawaiian
Where is this located?
Oahu.
ya bra 4-6 my okle !
If you think a wave should be ridden for only one form of surfing and call me ignorant? Thats a big hypocritical statement right there.

Gavin Sichenzia literally doing inverts bruh😂😂
