    It took a thousand years, numerous amounts of bribes, slowly covering the Galaxy with the Dark Side, creating the right amount of chaos needed to plunge the Galaxy into the Clone Wars, and making several political alliances and charges for the Sith to be literally elected as the highest office in the Galaxy. Truly the Sith Grand Plan was the closest thing to a masterpiece in the destruction of both the Jedi and the Republic, and had both Palpatine and his Master followed the Grand Plan gain more power in the next five hundred years, then there will be no chance the Jedi or the Republic could survive.

    And thus, the Republic came to end. After 25000 years of trying to do good, it was destroyed not by an evil outside force, but from within by sinister manipulation turning most in it either into the very evil they fought against or just into people blindly following orders and thinking this was the right thing to do when clearly it wasn't.

    One thing that George Lucas unknowingly taught us is that civilizations risen and fallen all the times when the cohesion of that civilization is getting weaker and weaker. While it is impressive that the Republic lasted for so long, they barely did anything to strengthen the cohesion of their government. The people who responsible for strengthening them for most of the times are Sith because without them, there will be no wars that force the Republic and the Jedi to militarize themselves. This is what Ibn Khaldun said about asabiyyah in his book called al-Muqaddimah.

      The main problem with trying to do the Thrawn Trilogy in live action after the Disney takeover was the age of the actors (and later the sad death of Carrie Fisher). If they'd been smart, they could have done an animated adaptation, with the original actors providing the voices. I think that would have worked pretty well.

    If you're going to do something about Legends don't include Disney corruption ear stuff like the Clone Wars Animated stuff. The Clone Wars Mandalorian stuff was concocted by writers that were changing Star Wars history to be more in line with the DSWU as we know it. In the Legends " The Real Star Wars Univer" there was no New Mandalorian BS government. There was The Mandalorians or the Mandalorian Protectors or the Mandalorian Super Comandos and Death Watch. And Jango Fett was a Mandalorian by birth and Lineage not a bs Foundling "A Disney term".

    • @ZoeMalDoran
      @ZoeMalDoran 2 года назад

      Jango was born on the Mandalorian colony of Concord Dawn, but whether he was a proper Mandalorian before his parents were killed and Jaster Mareel adopted him depends on one's point of view. Reconciling Jango's backstory from the original 2002-2005 Clone Wars multi-media project and the 2008-2014 depiction of the Mandalorians takes a bit of mental gymnastics, true, but there's still room for Mandalorian Protectors, True Mandalorians (the Supercommandos), both versions of Death Watch, and Satine's pacifists... in theory 🙂

    • @seangere9698
      @seangere9698 2 года назад

      @@ZoeMalDoran In the original cannon Jango was Mandalorian, he was even Mandalore after Jaster died. That's why Spar pretended to be Jango and was therefore called Mandalore. Boba later took up the Mandalore title a few years after his escape from the Sarlac and getting his father's Beskar armor that he barred before going to Jaba and becoming a bounty hunter for Jaba. So there's not much room for, from a certain point of view. He grew up in an ancient Mandalorian clan, going all the way to the 3rd Mandalore. His father was a Journeyman Protector, a sort of Police force on Concord Dawn and their version of a Super Commando of sorts, there for making Jango a Mandalorian by birth, then he was adopted by Jaster when his mother and father were killed and raised in the way of the Super Commandos. In the real SWU there's no such thing as Foundlings in Mandalorian culture. You are either Mandalorian or your not, there is no difference between someone that was born into a clan or someone that joined later in their life, they are Mandalorian.
      As for the whole DSWU have to keep your helmet on for foundlings, comes from the rule of having to wear one pice of armor every day as it is stated in the Super Commando Codex. It was then perverted into "foundlings" never being able to take off their Helmets.

    • @ZoeMalDoran
      @ZoeMalDoran 2 года назад

      @@seangere9698 Oh I agree Disney screwed up a lot with the Mandalorians. Din Jaren (sp?) is evidently in a clan that takes the "wear Mandalorian armour" part of the resol'nare up to 13. And you're right that all the traditional Mandalorian types (Crusaders, Neo-Crusaders, Supercommandos, Protectors et al) hold that "You're a Mandalorian as long as you and the community agree you are". I tend to reconcile it that Almac is a lying bigot who doesn't consider anyone from the colonies to be proper Mandalorians.
      Technically, "foundlings" did exist in proper canon, as Mandalorians adopted orphans into the clans for ages, not to mention the Neo-Crusaders, but what Disney gets wrong is apparently instituting different rules for the adopted and the idea that they're treated as somehow lesser than those born into the clans. After all, "family is more than bloodline" is a popular saying among the Mandalorians 🙂

    • @seangere9698
      @seangere9698 2 года назад

      @@ZoeMalDoran Yes they Adopted them in but they were from that day on Mandalorian. Not second class citizens as Foundlings are treated in a way and are not considered real Mandalorians as Boba isn't a real Mandalorian even though he is literally the blood of the Last true Mandalore but that's getting real cannon and DSWU mixed together.

    Ok so question how does Yoda in legends anyway know "Always two there are" if the rule of two was started 120ish years before he was born and no sith was seen after it was started? I mean yes there were always masters and apprentices before the rule of two but there were hundreds of them not just two I always assumed that the sith were found or the rule of two was started 2 or 3 thousand years before the battle of yavin and he knew about it because only two ruled some of these empires but no there were hundreds of them right up to the thought bomb and it was assumed that all of them died like maybe he could sense it but that's just a afterthought cop out. He should have been like "holy crap! Bad this is! Hundreds of sith there could be!? This happen how could it?" Like honestly he and mace should be sitting in that meditation chamber hyperventilating.

    One the vong if we’re using legends is a massive reason not to demilitarize as you don’t know if other galaxy’s have hell bent genocidal people running it something like the flood etc

    Why didn’t the Jedi ever sense the Sith through the force in the last 1,000 years? Also why didn’t the Jedi and the Republic wage an all out war against the Hutts in order to destroy Hutt controlled space and end slavery?

      The Sith were very good at masquerading their presence, and of course, for the first centuries, the Sith were very weak, while the Jedi were very strong and competent. However, as the Jedi grew complacent, and the Sith stronger, the Jedi did begin to sense the dark side. Around 200 years before the battle of Yavin, the Jedi sensed the dark side for the first time in 800 years after a sith lord started messing with the force too much. A bit later, a Jedi padawan fell to the dark side after finding the Sith. The Jedis killed him, and from him learned about the rule of two, although at the time they didn't believe it. Slowly, over time, bits and pieces of clues were gathered, but the Jedi were too concerned with the Republic to start piecing together the clues, until the events of the TPM that is. We could blame the Jedi for this, and partly they are to blame, but the main reason they were so involved in politics in the first place is because the Republic was in decline, thanks in good part to the Sith themselves.
      So in truth this goes more to speak to the effectiveness of the Sith Grand Plan: for 6000 years the Sith attempted to destroy the Jedi in a conventional war, by creating their own nation to mobilize and lead, and each time they were eventually defeated by the more cohesive, better organized and more motivated Republic. Darth Bane understood this, that defeating the Republic in a direct war was impossible, and he instead took a path that would distract the Jedi, make them confident and complacent, and then Plagueis and Sidious added to this plan by creating the CIS and the Clone Wars, the perfect bait, the war against the Sith the Jedi had been preparing to fight for a thousand years. A conventional war, leading the Republic's forces against the puppet state of the Sith. All the while the Sith were subversing the democratic values of the Republic from within.

    Valorum sounds like a Democrat. Disband the military destroy the old and bring in pacifism. Some of this COULD work. However a GALACTIC government needs to have an enforcement arm. So he was unrealistic in his expectations. And just helped the Sith in the long run.
