Experienced the same in my F80 M3 with the Ohlins setup. Crazy 1200 lb stock spring rates in the rear. I used to noticed from my drivers seat that at low speed my hood of my car would be bouncing if the shocks were set too tight, what causes this? Not enough or too much dampening ?

The balance between front and rear rates are CRUCIAL - without Flat Ride you get pitching. And with too high a ride frequency, you just throw the ride off especially on softer sidewall street tires. My guess is you have too much damping rebound damping and perhaps even your tires are indeed bouncing on the sidewall. I've done an FCM Elite setup on an E90 M3 which my customer loved.
Do get in touch through the website if you'd like to stop fighting with knobs and experience true Ride Harmony (yeah, sounds like a commercial but it's true!).

Suspension Truth learned a lot from your videos. I hope you continue to always do what you do-sharing with the community. Your probably not thanked enough. The now KW a clubsport setup on my F30 does indeed have pitch with 487/686 kit rates. With the MR at these rates it seems about 2.32/1.82 using 0.92 front and 0.36 rear (approx). Threw in a 750 rear and 400 front I had but really need to drop the front to 350 and 800 rear. Need to pickup some friction tape you suggested so I can use a standard 2.5” on the front KW (seems noisy without it). Thanks for your support. You should have a donate page for the work your doing! Thanks , bill.

Thanks, Bill - I enjoy the BMW community a lot and keep procrastinating to get on the forums, but I will be very soon as I'm catching up with builds.
I'm going to be developing a Ride Harmony / FRC / Ride Frequency calculation spreadsheet for the various BMW models so that could help you figure out what spring rates you need to get Flat Ride working for you with your KW setup. I hope it's not overdamped on rebound - assuming you have dyno graphs?? Probably need closer to 800 or 850 rear and yeah a softer front too. If you wanted to do a consult with me I can do those calcs for you.
The friction tape may not work for long but some steel shims cut and formed into a ring then glued / epoxied in place should keep the spring better-centered. I do have a donation page! But no one was using it so I didn't bother adding it. Having new Elite customers is the best way to thank me, as everyone benefits and I keep sharing info for free on RUclips (and forums / Bitchute).
