I use an over the counter allergy med bottle to put broken/bend pins and needles. When it’s full I just toss it! No pokies in the trash. 😊

So smart Debbie! I use a small mason jar, but haven’t had it fill up yet so I wasn’t sure what to do with them when it did end up full. As I didn’t want to toss the mason jar 😂. I am going to make sure I save my next old pill bottle!

I use an old artists soft bristled paint brush to clean the lint out of my machine. I use my old iron as a weight for the end of the ruler when cutting fabric. I use my dad’s old wallpaper seam roller to “finger press” seams. I use an old pill bottle for old or broken needles. Instead of buying those fancy thread keepers I put a piece of scotch tape on the end to keep all my thread neat. And the best one…..is the little stuffed animals I have on my desk that my grandchildren gave me, I use as a needle holder.

I love your tips! I use a heavy duty plastic drinking straw to slip over my thread spool holder when using cones of thread. I also mark my sewing scissors with "sewing only" so everyone can be warned not to use my material scissors. lol

I use a reusable straw (they are a lot thicker) to turn skinny strips

I keep a hammer on the shelf next to my sewing machine. Comes in handy when hemming jeans. Thanks for the tips. Blessings.

Well now I have more questions!!! 😂 What do you do with the hammer 🔨 when hemming jeans Bev?!?

I beat them into submission. No, I flip the hem twice and tap the seam several good times to flatten it out. Then sew right over it. Crazy maybe but it works and I’m not the only one. Blessings.

Hand w8 2 hold ruler in place for rotary cutting. Brilliant! Why didn't I think of that?

I just discovered your channel while researching how to sew a rag quilt. I would really love to sew one. But I don’t have a dryer. In my country most people don’t have one. We air dry the laundry. Do you think the rag quilt effect will appear without the dryer? Greetings from Germany

I'm as new to sewing as one can be, and I have "one" suggestion for you, and that's for you to slow down. You're obviously very experienced but I'n not. Jumping from do this to do that to measure this to measure that makes my heart race. thank you.
