    Great video! I've done dirtbike tires and I've changed 1000's of truck tires (with a tire machine) and, even though I could assume the process to be similar, it always helps to see someone else do it and explain it a bit. Thanks for taking the time to help us out!

    This is THE BEST tire-change video I have seen. Excellent.
    I will be replacing the worthless turf tires on my new (9.4 hrs.) lawn tractor SOON. After watching this video, I know I can do this.
    Thank you. Great job.

    You should definitely do a Q&A video!
    Also, this is PRECISELY what this sport needs and has needed for years.

    Hi Nick, I just got a pair of new tires for our quad, they are 185/30 14 SUN tires. I have a normal floor bolted manual tire machine for car tires etc.
    do you think I will have problem with these ones please? Is a 2012 spy-racing 350 F1. Thanks Barry

      @@nickgennusa15 Thanks, I fitted the smaller ones ok but the 370`s were too big so I had to ask a tyre fitter to finish one side. Made a big difference to the ride, softer.

    Not to be a hater but,I hope you changed the batteries in your smoke detector since this vid lol. Seriously though, good vid man. I have done some tires myself on my mini bikes and by the end of it I was hating life. Some good techniques here that I think will make things easier for me next time. And I didn't even think about the strap to stop stretching, just thought it was to help the bead set. So some good info too. Thanks for putting this out there man. 👍🏻

  • @gapaworks
    @gapaworks 5 лет назад +2

    To put front tires on you can maybe use flamable spray (something that burns very fast), it's used for tire stretching on cars. You just spray it inside a tire and do like a little path out and ignite it while air compressor is pumping air in. I had luck with dashboard spray. 😉

    Why would you want ANY air pressure in a tire you're removing? Prying the bead out, you forgot to mention making sure to drop the bead into the drop-center opposite the spoons. Remove/install the valve CORE.

    Your taking a big risk with that strap if that snaps while your inflating your tyre you would get slapped with it so hard

    • @nickgennusa15
      @nickgennusa15  4 года назад

      Sure is a risk, but I would tell you it’s the right way to do it. The point of the strap is so the tire doesn’t over expand and stretch. It happens often actually.

    • @dumbeezy5480
      @dumbeezy5480 4 года назад +3

      I just did the strap method today and it worked like a charm.

    • @polishoskar2039
      @polishoskar2039 4 года назад

      @@dumbeezy5480 I'm not saying it dosnt work effectively just if you put too much pressure in too fast and your strap snaps most likely you will lose a head getting sacked with the strap

    • @dumbeezy5480
      @dumbeezy5480 4 года назад

      @@polishoskar2039 As soon as the bead starts catching just release the strap. You dont have to leave it on there until it breaks and slaps you silly.
