I was in a Five Guys, and their soda machine has a QR code on it to scan with your phone's camera. The code takes you to a website that allows you to tap a button to send a signal to the machine to dispense the soda you want. It wasn't mandatory, but that's still insane. It's a goddamn soda machine! Why does everything need to be wifi enabled?
I don't know about the machine you used, but a lot of the newer soda machines let you do custom mixes with any syrup that they have, so a soda machine app is a stupid-but-not-stupid thing if it lets you save your favorite soda mix and saves you the time of selecting it when you want a drink.
The first 10 minutes where NL complains about technology is the most "OK Boomer" content in a while and I love it (I am older than NL, so I can say it). Also, POG for the algorithm.

this music problem hits so close to home, my spotify has like 20 hours a year of listen time and its all lofi beats to study and relax to and the rest of my audio time is like 400 hours of podcasts and about a dozen audio books
The whole grabbing something that has a synergy and then bringing up the map right away therefore missing being shown what the synergy is really kinda gets to me.

I warned my family around the end of February the world was going to get hit hard. No one really took my warning seriously until the end of March. The fact that I knew what was coming and I am still in undergrad means so many people knew. They were silenced and told they were insane. It’s awful that it happened the way it did and so many deaths could’ve been prevented.

The thing is though the catalogue on youtube music in particular is SO unbelievably massive like over your lifetime youve probably accumulated a couple hundred albums, maybe even a thousand to two thousand if your a real music nerd. Im only 18 years old and spending an unhealthy amount of time on youtube music in a constant search for new music ill like has led me to the point of having over 3 thousand albums saved that ive all listened to front to back at least twice, hundreds of which i have downloaded, and probably a couple thousand more that i listened to thar i didnt like enough to save, and i could do all of it literally for free. There are albums that i would have NEVER come across had i gone around buying cds or going off of recommendations of everyone who was willing to give them. The internet is such a ridiculously vast place, with a medium of art so widespread and open ended and easy to consume as music, i feel like the best way to navigate it is the internet where its put into this gigantic sea of music for you to navigate and explore.
