“Space,” it says, “is big. Really big. You just won’t believe how vastly, hugely, mindbogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it’s a long way down the road to the chemist’s, but that’s just peanuts to space.”

So many things I love all together in one beautiful ensemble: lute+eagles+hitchhiker's guide... It's been a lousy day, your video popped up on my suggestion bar, I started listening to it on the background as I plodded through some meaningless work. I never knew the hitchhiker's theme was from an Eagles instrumental!! When I slowly recognized its tunes masterfully strummed on your lute, a huge smile cracked on my face; I stopped everything, read the video description, then lost myself surfing through the treasures on your channel. The anxiety attack I'd been pushing through all weekend just faded away. THANK YOU. I hope your days are filled with as much joy as you brought me... and more.

Written by Bernie Leadon. I had been working on playing this on my Zither Banjo, but I am very much in the early stages of learning that instrument and have gotten sidetracked by other commitments. The tone of the Lute very much suits this and the Zither Banjo is a lot closer to this than to the American style Banjo. Beautiful playing, as always.

Well, Dan, you've done it again. Always such a pleasure to watch and listen to you play. Alas, it's 0600, gotta catch some shuteye. Take care of yourself, my friend and each other. Will be checking out your channel later on today......Happy Summer Solstice(...a day late) to you! Keep rockin' that lute!

Beautifully played but for me it's the coming together of the different disciplines of instruments that makes this track unique.
