I love Hanae Mori. I randomly ended up acquiring it, and it really impressed me. I gave it to my mom as I think it suits her skin better because it is quite a big scent even though it is not overly floral or sweet in my opinion. It smells like creamy white chocolate berries and almondy goodness. Very gourmand to me.

I do have Hanae Mori Butterfly EDP, and I like it. I would swear, I bought it based on your review - about 1 - 2 years ago..... . I am wrong??? Fortunatelly I don't get any plasticiness. I also have a sample of Ylang in Gold, and now I sit here each one on my wrists. I feel Hanae Mori more almondy sweet, while Ylang is more fruity (peachy?). Enjoy them both, anyway. Arlene, Have you tried Chopard Casmir? I have Casmir and Ylang in Gold. They are very similar. I bought Casmir recently and sprayed it on, the second I sprayed it, I thought it smelled exactly like something I knew. It took me about 10 seconds to realize that it was Ylang. A 100ml bottle of Casmir can be purchased for about $22.00 in the US. When you try it side by side, you can smell a *slight* difference and Ylang is nicer to my nose, but if you are not comparing them it is hard to see the difference. If you can find it, I would try it. It is hard to believe how similar they are and the price difference is incredible. I have added the Hanae Mori in my cart several times and then I don't buy it. But can definitely find it on discount sites - I’ve purchased a few backups just in case they ever do discontinue it. Cause I know I’ll cry, lol.
I have Hanae Mori EDT and I like it. Lately I’ve been mixing Hanae Mori with Oscar de la Renta Bella Rosa and loving the combination. If I wear Bella Rosa by itself, the scent is gone after an hour or two, but if I mix it with Hanae Mori, the scent lasts for many hours and the scents compliment each other.
I started wearing Hanae Mori in like 2004 or 2005 (when I was 19) and wore it throughout my 20's. Yeah, I own both of these but can't be objective. Hanae Mori scent wins for me but could probably win on nostalgia alone, all those years of scent memories. Cheers!

Hanae Mori is made from quality ingredients. I think some of the newer fragrances are overpriced. The sales are slower so the prices are a bit lower. I have it and the No. 7

Hanae Mori is available in edt butterfly which i assume you are talking about and the edp on Fragrance Net its a beautiful scent but the one i prefer the most is the original Hanae by Hanae Mori. I think the bottles are beautiful as well.

I have never paid anywhere near full price for a bottle of Ylang. I have always been able to find it at the discounters if I search long enough. Still more expensive than Hanae Mori but around the price of regular designer fragrances. I find HM smells a bit too synthetic for my liking. Ylang just smells batter and more natural.
I would also loved to know the difference between the three as well I never realized their were so many versions and I’d love to pick the creamiest of the three..Which I think I heard the parfum is but 🤷🏽♀️

...Another perfume similar to Hanae Moro believe it or not is Vanilla Fields by Coty and it is literally less than $10! Most definitely should try it.

I have a friend who swears by Hanae Mori and gets compliments on it all the time. I think I should take a look for it and at least get a sample.
