i know im asking randomly but does anyone know a method to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb lost my password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
@Benjamin Justice thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Really appreciate your accuracy and digilence in this video. It takes a real craftsman to accomplish this detailed work. Nonetheless, I still do not like glass backsplash tiles. I can't get used to it. Guess I'm more a traditionalist when it comes to that. I still enjoy tiles of all kinds be it clay, porcelain, granite, depending on tastes, and I even enjoy seeing wallpaper that completes a kitchen look. And heck, sometimes I even enjoy seeing a nice paint job that enhances the kitchen. But I cannot get into glass for some reason. THUMBS UP!!!
that's right, you have cut in a size you can work with, make sure walls smooth and clean fill any hole, but make sure, make sure you turn off the power, and take your time, don't try to rush it
Did I miss where he explained what he did to deal with the space under the window? (how the sticky paper stuff was just a tad short for the space? I did bounce around the video but can’t find it. Thanks!
Thanks for this very useful video.but how do you cut the tile in the sides to adjust to the width? Do we need any extra tools? Once you done you used a tool to level the tiles what is it called? I am planning to do backsplash in my kitchen. Thanks once again.
@@aaronfixesstuff for corners if I use full sheet of tiles I need to cut the tiles accordingly to fit the corners or near the electric outlet ,since this is ceramic tiles how do you cut it or resize it ?
After cutting the tile with the wet saw did you have to dry it really well for it to stick? I know it's a silly question but I'm about to start our back splash after I install our butcher block countertops.
@@aaronfixesstuff I appreciate your response. I was weighing out my options and this appears to be a easier way to go. I saw some reviews of the tiles falling off, however I feel the person Applying the mat to the walls may not have cleaned them properly and therefore they didn't stay in place. Great video. I do construction but never tile (painting, window glass, roofing). Have a great day!
@@jimmyg645 yeah I prepped the surface properly and did not have any issues with it sticking. In fact, you’ll be surprised at how well it sticks. That’s why I removed the backing in sections. Best of luck and reach out with any questions!
Hello Aaron. I know this is an old video, but its new to _me_ lol. I am very much interested in this kind of application for tiles.. I just wanted to ask you professional opinion of the durability of these types of mats. Are you aware of how long they last? Just wondering your feedback on them. I think I am settled to use this application. Excellent video. Well done
If you follow the manufacturer guidelines, there should be no issue with durability. I’ll tell you that I was surprised at how quickly and how strongly the tiles adhered to the mat. Thanks for the positive feedback, and let me know if you have any other questions!
@@laurenyoung9943 perfect. In the video I show how I pressed the mat against the texture, using a level. Also make sure the wall is clean before starting. Let me know if you have any questions!
@@aaronfixesstuff hello! We have orange peel texture on our walls.. have you had any experience using this backing for something like that? I would be afraid of it falling off😓
I’d recommend reading the manufacturer’s recommendations. I don’t remember off the top of my head. I will say that the adhesive pads are extremely sticky!
@@aaronfixesstuff my question is: if I have already tiles on the wall but I don’t want to remove them, can I apply the sticker on top of them and apply the same kind of tiles you used in this video? I have on the wall small tiles ( 7x7cm)
@@jonwissner9871 We are looking at this same mat for doing our backsplash. After some research, I have found that you should at least put a coat of primer on the drywall to protect the paper. Also your tile tile should not weigh more than 7lbs per square foot for this adhesive mat.
Esthetically this seems like a viable option compared to a REAL backsplash.....but in all reality, how will this hold up? I guess I'm concerned with its durability
This is a real backsplash. Or do you mean compared to one where they use mortar? As far as durability, it you follow the manufacturer’s instructions, there should be no problems with it.
@@aaronfixesstuff Yes that's exactly what I meant. And ok, I don't feel like dealing with thinset if I don't need to you know? I just wanna be sure the peel and stick holds up. But ok cool thx 👍
@@mr.nuna916 got it! Yeah man the adhesion is extremely strong. Then the grout helps hold it from shifting, so it stays solid. I just would not use it in places like a shower for example.

So helpful Aaron!! Thank you so much.
Your videos are always so informative.
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful :)
A beautiful backsplash and a job well done! Bravo!

Nice job, I learned something new, that sticky paper, less mess that’ll save time. Thanks
Yes! It really is a timesaver and it works so well!
This is the best video I have seen so far for installing backsplash! Awesome Job! Thank you! God bless!

Thank you sir!!
Amazing
How’s the backsplash doing? Still holding up? Any tile coming loose from the adhesive?
I see a few questions on durability. Example- will tile fal off. Has this passed test of time. Any know if heat near stove will impact

awsome can you show how you measure
Nice job. Can you pls tell us what you use for the edge or nothing?
In this case I didn’t use anything, because that was the homeowner’s request.
Did you have any issues with the tile sticking after cutting with the wet saw?
No issues. All you have to do is make sure that you dry the tile with a towel or something.

I’m not sure what you mean by adjusting the width. And the tool I used to level the tiles was a level.

@@gomesd1358 I see what you mean. If you have a wet saw, get a blade that cuts whatever material the tile is made from.

After cutting the tile with the wet saw did you have to dry it really well for it to stick? I know it's a silly question but I'm about to start our back splash after I install our butcher block countertops.
Not silly at all. Great question actually. I did dry the tile off. Even with that, this process is so much quicker and easier than trowel and mortar.

How did you do the corners, did you have to caulk it?
That is correct.
Is the adhesive for the mosaic glass tiles waterproof and can you use it in shower accent lines
This is not rated for showers.
We have a textured walls in our kitchen would you suggest this for the wall
What kind of texture is it? This was applied on knockdown texture and worked perfectly. Just make sure the mat is properly adhered to the wall.

First row was installed left to right, top row was right to left, is there a technical reason or that's just how it happened?
Nope. It’s just how it happened. In fact I never even realized that I did it that way.
Could you use this as a decorative line of tile in the shower?
Are you asking about the tile, or about the adhesive pads?
Nice vid but I'd like to see how the ends and the last upper row is finished.
I agree, he didn't seem to comment/reply to you but everyone else.... I am interested as well.
Would this have any issue sticking to Paneling
I would worry more about the paneling separating from the wall, than I’d worry about this separating from the paneling.

Per the manufacturer, it can be placed on “uniform surface existing tile”.
@@aaronfixesstuff Thank you!!
Is this glass, marble, stone?
It was a combo of several materials. I don’t remember, but there was glass, ceramic, and maybe something else.
Can I use this on wood?
I would recommend looking at the manufacturer’s website to make sure.
Does it need special tiles?
Nope :)
It doesn’t fall off ?
Nope! It holds just as strongly as mortar.
@@aaronfixesstuff Would 6x24" floor tile work with this adhesive matt? And, can the matt be adhered to unpainted and unprimed drywall?
