The second book was the Bible in Kazakh, you will see the guy carrying it wears a cross. The guy blowing the Shofar represents Judaism. Then there are more religions represented too in the crowd.
Dimash composed the music, wrote the screenplay, produced, directed, and starred in this amazing short film! He is a master of his art! Boundless talent!
this took Dimash 3 years of work and apparantly is the most expensive music video ever. The woman and little girl were Dimash's, and the baby at the end was Dimash's son, grown up. All religions depicted and is about the futility of war no matter what your religion. Everyone should see this.

Thank you for your emotional reaction. I cried every time I listen/watch this song/MV. Dimash is a champion for peace. We’re choosing life!! We need peace. Dimash also showed that taking revenge on his friend who turned into the ruler of people for the death of his daughter didn’t end well for Dimash. His son was raised by people of all religions and that’s his son all grown up at the end leading all people towards peaceful existence. This was Dimash’s masterpiece. Took him 3 years to compose and create everything. Only love and respect for Dimash.

In The Story Of One Sky he sings the whole soundtrack himself.
The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But unbelievable and simply indescribable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it.
He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay.
The premiere was on September 24, 2022.
As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is.
Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. And she gave birth to her second child in the video. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. But violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace.

Btw, Dimash has received an Award from Pope Francis personally at The Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan on September 13, 2022. He performed the song there in connection with the congress before the premiere. Can you imagine, a Muslim receiving an award from the head of the Catholic Church. This means something🥰.
He also gave a speech at the first Central Asian Media Forum, in which he once again strongly advocated peace. You can see it with English subtitles.

I cry every time I see this video. Dimash created this masterpiece as a true reflection of what is happening in the world now. At the live concert in Almaty in September, the lucky audience got to see Dimash perform this live. From the video, you can see that he gave it everything he had! Immediately following the debut of this song was the debut of Dimash’s performance of El Amor En Ti - his first Spanish song. He llorado muchas veces mirando este gran trabajo de Dimash. Y hoy he vuelto a llorar contigo. Me pasó lo mismo la primera vez que lo vi, era tanto lo que lloraba que no podía ver los detalles a través de mis lágrimas. Entonces la miraba otra vez y otra vez volvía a llorar. No podía parar de llorar. Dimash ha trabajado 3 años en esta obra, pero realmente ha valido la pena. Es una obra maestra lo que ha hecho. Ha trasmitido tan bien, la injusticia de la guerra, las muertes sin sentido, los niños, inocentes víctimas de ese flagelo. Y ha juntado el momento del nacimiento del nuevo hijo con la muerte de la niña (hermanita del que estaba naciendo) al tiempo que moría su padre en la guerra. Y al parecer también muere la madre en el parto. Esos tres niños que en la infancia eran amigos, mueren en el mismo acto. El que rescató al que se estaba ahogando, luego muere a manos de su amigo, en venganza por haber aniquilado a su familia. Está todo tan bien pensado y tan bien expresado que te llega al alma. No hay dudas que Dimash es un ser excepcional. Me ha encantado tu reacción. Un saludo desde Uruguay.
Your emotion and feelings were strong as the story of the song , Dimash made us all feel the same, made us cry , made us rethink in the life we live in and hwe we lived it till now and it was like a biggest wake up call ever to see how we have been placed on this beautiful planet and not appreciate everything that God has given us and every day we sabotage everything beautiful on this planet and the reasons are absurd .

When I filmed my reaction I actually watched the video with subtitles because I agree -- they are very helpful!! I didn't include them in the final edit though because I thought everyone had probably seen it before and they may be distracting for everyone else. Beautiful video!!
Makes me cry too. The little boy in the beginning becomes a dictator, authoritarian. He was Dimash’s childhood friend probably growing up with greed for power and not a moral cell in his body. We’ve all grown up with people we enjoyed as kids but live the life that God meant for us to live. The book you were asking about is the Holy Quran. Dimash is from Kazakhstan and after researching I understand that 70% of the people in his country are Muslims. Others are Christian, Catholic, Jewish or not religious at all. I was taught right from wrong and there are consequences to our every action. Taught to treat people the way I wanted to be treated. I was taught to defend myself and have never been in a fight or trouble with the law. To me the theme is that although we are all different, we have to practice a way of togetherness. Dimash is pure gold. He was raised properly and surrounds himself with positive people. He has the utmost respect for his parents and siblings. Mansur who I’ve seen many times at his many concerts is really shy. Dimash use to be that way but Mansur has a great role model. He plays instruments and Dimash is always standing very close to him when he’s on stage. Check out his Almaty Concert. Mansur plays the keys and guitar. Prior, he sat next to Dimash and played the Dombra. There are English subtitles everywhere. Together was a beautiful song that Mansur wrote prior to turning 16. Dimash wrote Unforgettable Day when he was 18. Such a wonderful and humble family.

His acting skills are absolutely amazing, it might be "just a music video" but he sinks himself into the character of each MV he does and in this one he was amazing in all parts of it considering he composed it and wrote the screenplay too.
That book was the Koran. The people walking are spiritual teachers walking toward the light of the One God in unity for peace in the world. My interpretation is that as he is dying he sees his life, and in the afterlife he holds a staff of a spiritual leader instead of a gun. The parents did die and passed the compass of direction to the child. The tribal song he sings is a universal call to prayer for peace.
This masterpiece promotes understanding and peace between peoples. Our contribution will be to spread this message to everyone within our reach. Dimash has been working for peace for a long time. Your "dears" WE CHOOSE LIFE!!!!!

Truly a masterpiece he created, one of the most emotional videos i've ever seen. I wish more people knew about Dimash, not just his talent but his message of unity and love. El mensaje que Dimash nos ha querido transmitir nos hace pensar si realmente vale la pena todo lo que se pierde a cambio de lo poquísimo que se gana en una guerra. En una guerra la inmensa mayoría pierde y muy pocos ganan. Se pierden vidas de seres queridos, proyectos de vida y toda la riqueza personal que cada uno podría haber aportado al mundo, se pierde el sentido de la vida para algunos y para otros los valores se derrumban. En resumen la guerra no es la respuesta para solucionar nuestras diferencias. Cada uno debemos tener el valor de decir no a la guerra y no dejarnos arrastrar por quienes se benefician de ella.
