    You have to start getting experience as soon as you can.
    I myself only have an associate's degree. I took advantage of opportunities as they presented to me. I was a small business owner (lawn care and landscaping) and got all my credentials to become a firefighter too. While i was doing those i was also working in a warehouse. I first started as a day shift picker, then promoted to receiving (better schedule with my business and school work) then i was promoted again moving to night shift as a lead/supervisor. After doing that for a little while, through the merits of my hard work and networking i was afforded an opportunity to be the first operations manager assisting with the launch of the flagship facility for a major petfood ecommerce company. Now I am in charge of all inbound, outbound, inventory control, safety, supplychain, some purchasing and procurement, as well as facilities for a medical device manufacturer. My goal is ideally COO/GM/Director of Ops/VP of Ops. Ultimately it would depend on who that is with as every company has a different definition for each of those titles within the scope and scale of their company and the associated industry. Along that journey i hope to get my bachelors completed and hopefully an MBA, but for now I rely on my networking, attention to detail, and passion for continual operational improvement.

    Which country is the best for scm masters(post graduation)? And which country has the most scope for scm jobs?

    • @supplychainsecrets
      @supplychainsecrets  4 года назад

      Impossible question, sorry. Too many factors involved.

    • @Shoegazings

      Clearly, an English speaking country considering that most of the times you need the local language to work with suppliers or to advance negotiation. Communication is very important and if you can't handle a good knowledge of the local business language (let it be German, Nordic or whatever) most of the times you won't land any SCM or procurement jobs.

      There are many good courses around the World, it would be hard to pick... Regarding countries, the Visa is probably the biggest challenge.
