Oh man there are so many details about this that I love. Like the Winions carrying Odysseus down to the ship, the bag being big enough to feasibly hold treasure, Odysseus’s dream and how he couldn’t reach his family. And him being tied to the ship delaying him???? Incredible detail. I’m going to think about that so much now
And the Lotus Eater turning into a Winion?? And how the Lotus Eater was in Odysseus’s shirt for the journey up. So adorable. I was wondering what happened to it on my first watch through
The thing that bugs me not like a plot whole but like why are you like this even if it was treasure was waiting till they got home really that bad like they can’t be this dumb
Honestly, if I were Odysseus and bargain with the crew so ONCE THEY GOT HOME, they could open it to prove it wasn’t treasure. Another point, ayolis(is that how u spell it?) never said he had to keep the bag with him, he could’ve dropped it off at an island so they could get home, or like, bury it.
I super dig the extra attention/'screen time' Eurylochus and the crew get in this; you really show how the doubt is starting to creep in for everyone, and while Eurylochus tries to play peace maker by trying to get Odysseus to give holding the bag a rest (at least it SEEMS initially like that's what he was trying to do...) it's too late. The fact someone tied Odysseus' hand down is a really great visual way to show how much trust has already been lost even at this point. Also, I vote this animatic for most tragic dream sequence while Odysseus was sleeping; running on a endless pier, always within sight of his wife and child but never able to reach them is such a heartbreaking but apt metaphor for Odysseus' whole situation at that point. Great stuff!
to add onto this, I feel like Mircsy predicted the twist, so not only do we not see who opened the bag like some other animatics did, but also having eurylochus trying to convince him shows he eventually opened the bag
1:49 - Shoutout to fully drawing everyone with unique facial features!!! 1:52 - And for giving each a different reaction to Odysseus’ words. It makes them feel like individuals rather than set dressing. It also makes it all the more heartbreaking when they all die.
Finally a bag thats not a tiny purse! And Odysseus not being able to hug Penelope as the song says! I love your design and imagination so much Mircsy! Also the Poseidom design reminds me of Polyphemus and it is TERRIFYING
I really love how you give insight into the mistrust of the crew not only in their expressions after the 'treasure' part but the continued disagreements between Odysseus and Eurylochus. The little snippet of the whole crew turning towards the captain and his right hand brazenly arguing in the middle of the deck is really essential into understanding the growing rift between the crew and Ody! His frustration at the disrespect and his utter exhaustion is so so good. This feature was really unique and I've watched it so many times since the last hour in which it dropped, good going and elite animatic as always!
Also! The pure terror on Eurylochus' face when Ody is thrown overboard is delicious-only to get picked up by Poseidon!!! It adds so much fear to the whole scene
I love how at 1:51, half of the crewmembers are making *unsure* faces, like they're saying "We'll try and keep the rumors down but IDK how well it's going to go," only one is actually saluting, and the *other* half are making faces that are funny and scheming, and scream "Yeah sure, as soon as we get enough time to have plausible deniability we're opening the bag." (particularly the two standing just behind and to the side of Eury), And Eurylochus just looks plain *annoyed* and exhausted.
Bro Aeolus transforming into the storm clouds was perfect. It showed perfectly how some Olympians saw mortals, more of passing the time and amusement than actual people in need. Well done mircsy.

Details I loved: - Actually showing how Odysseus got to the island, haven’t seen that done before - Little lotus eater still with him 🥺 - Aeolus taking Ody up into the air with her - Ody holding his tunic(?) down when he rights himself in the air (lol) - Aeolus literally traps the storm from the Storm song in the bag!! - Mass winion jumpscare. Way more than I expected - 1:11 Dramatic winions - Lotus eater gets to go home!!! Also the one Ody is petting in that scene vv cute - I THOUGHT YOU WERE JOKING ABOUT THE TWERKING WINIONS and you gave the winions so much personality in this scene - 1:27 That one crewmate just lying there is such a mood - Winions coming down and exiting the scene felt very natural - OCs for added crewmate flavour is genius - 2:08 THE 3 SNEAKING BEHIND THE MAST - Top of the bag transitioning to Ithaca was smooth af and also genius - Ody breaking into a run in the dream was heartbreaking - Aeolus looking like the most gleeful lil sh!t (/positive) here seems very in-character - ODY’S BOAT HAS ATHENA’S OWL AS THE FIGUREHEAD THATS SO COOL - Ody flying off the ship drives home the severity of the storm, but also is an EXCELLENT SEGUE FOR POSEIDON’S ENTRANCE LIKE HELLO??? - Poseidon being the literal ocean and scooping Ody up was *awesome*, your Poseidon design with a helmet is also unique and looks fantastic. As someone else pointed out, the gem(?)/top/centre of his helmet evoking your Polyphemus’ is absolutely genius

Eurylochus in this is great, you can see the just doubt and suspicion on his face when Odysseus went up to a god and came back with a bag that apparently was "holding a storm". But i love how this sets up the rift between them so much, eurylochus goes to respect Odysseus' choice to keep it closed, i presume offering to keep watch while the captain sleeps. Only to be screamed at and snapped at. This is prolly where eurylochus doubts him and chooses to open the bag. Not cause he was stupid and wanting treasure or he was playing the long con or something, but that Odysseus was so protective over the bag even his second in command/brother in law caught his wrath for even trying to tell ody to sleep and leave the bag to him. He must have thought something truly strange was afoot , but he didnt believe Odysseus' story
Oh man, seeing the active betrayal by Eurylochus as he plots and argues with Ody about the bag is poignant. And all the emotions for the “we’ll try”. Beautiful work!

I LOVE THIS!!! First of all, odysseous and Eurylychus are awesome, as always, and I adored the design of aeolous and the winion! It seems they've got some relation to the Lotus eaters. I adore all the expressions done by everyone, anger, fear, and surprise. I also loved the shot with telemachus and penelope, that was so sweet, and damn, they tied him up! I get why he sacrificed fix of them to scylla. Poseidon is also absolutely amazing, I love the things he's got in common with Polyphemus, and the shot where the storm throws all the boats around like toys is amazing. Thank you for making it!
This is so so good! The way you showed the seeds for Mutiny? The way you bled “real life” into then dream sequence? Poseidon’s design which is distinct but also shares qualities with Athena’s? It’s all so good! (And yes, the twerking winions were everything I hoped for!)

This was different from so many other animatics and I love it! The details! Poseidon looks amazing!!! And tying Odysseus being tied so he couldn’t stop them! Genius! Just crazy to think they were so close to being home until a certain SOMEONE (we all know it was now) decided to open the bag instead of listening to the person who actually got the bag and knew what he was doing.
I love how they free their Winion companion from the lotus’ trance by breaking off the stem. It;s so cute to see all the little pals flying together. I wonder what the backstory is for the rest of the winions getting cursed to the lotus?
OMG I love how much Eurylocus and the crew are part of this- Eurylocus and Odysseus having that fight over the bag and only stopping when the crew is looking at them, before the crew goes back to work and pretends that they’re not looking. Also Odysseus tied to the ship so he physically can’t stop them from opening the bag???? I really like the designs you have for Aeolus and Posidon too!! I LOVE THIS!!! First of all, odysseous and Eurylychus are awesome, as always, and I adored the design of aeolous and the winion! It seems they've got some relation to the Lotus eaters. I adore all the expressions done by everyone, anger, fear, and surprise. I also loved the shot with telemachus and penelope, that was so sweet, and damn, they tied him up! I get why he sacrificed fix of them to scylla. Poseidon is also absolutely amazing, I love the things he's got in common with Polyphemus, and the shot where the storm throws all the boats around like toys is amazing. Thank you for making it!

This is so so good! The way you showed the seeds for Mutiny? The way you bled “real life” into then dream sequence? Poseidon’s design which is distinct but also shares qualities with Athena’s? It’s all so good! (And yes, the twerking winions were everything I hoped for!)

OMG I love how much Eurylocus and the crew are part of this- Eurylocus and Odysseus having that fight over the bag and only stopping when the crew is looking at them, before the crew goes back to work and pretends that they’re not looking. Also Odysseus tied to the ship so he physically can’t stop them from opening the bag???? I really like the designs you have for Aeolus and Posidon too!! But nooooo the winion buddies getting blown away when the wind bag is open :(( gonna miss those guys, the little lotus eater stuck around for so long…

The mask on Athena until she was named, the monstrous look of Polythemus/cyclops, how Posiden IS WATER grabbing at Ody and his mask reminding us he IS Polythemus' father which has me hoping to see him unmasked in 'Ruthlessness' should you make it. Wonderfully done animatic!!!
I love how the lotus eaters/ winions have become the greek chorus for these animatics. They just show up to hype the vibe. :)

The fact that he fell overboard with the bag and the only reason why it seems like Poseidon found him is because he fell into the water
