If you can't come across the parts needed to complete the last two, they might work in dioramas as either crashed ships in the terrain or getting blasted out of the sky while attempting to deploy their troops. The beginning of Halo Reach's Long Night of Solace mission, or Winter Contingency comes to mind. Hope to see something really cool come out of at least a couple of them!
It’s a good idea, there was also one that was quite badly sun damaged (not sure if it is was obvious in the video). When I built it my immediate reaction was “that’s ruined and good for nothing” but once it was complete I realised the patchwork effect of some sun damaged and some unaffected pieces made it look like an aged, post war Phantom that had been patched up time and time again, similar to how the Millennium Falcon ends up looking, I quite like it. This then got me wandering if I was able to modify some of the incomplete Phantoms to look like they intentionally had some of the purple/grey plating removed exposing the inner workings of the ship (again, much like the Falcon).
I was extremely poor as I child and rn I'm a college student with bigger priorities, meaning ive never been in a position to get a phantom. So when I say i say you're living this guy's dream, believe me.
I got these before Mega went up in value, back in the good old days people would sell entire collections in the Uk consisting of 10-15 sets including Phantoms, Pelicans, short swords, long swords etc for £75-£100. Nowadays you have to pay £100 plus just for a Phantom or Pelican Gunship, oh how times have changed.
I am so envious of your collection, i live in europe and basically the only way to get these sets is to either get lucky on ebay and find someone from usually germany selling sets or just pay ridicilous amounts of money for shipping from the UK or US. We dont even get the newer sets in stores around here, amazon has those of course but with shipping and import fees you end up paying nearly 70€ for a set like arbiters quest or over 200€ for the halo infinite pelican set. It sucks but nothing i can do about it really except give up or pay up. Still, its awesome to see the sets built on your display, the collection overall is very impressive. I think ill just keep collecting lego star wars sets for now
It’s so frustrating reading comments like this, if MEGA could just figure out how to supply their product globally again like in the old days they could grow their consumer base again. Instead they continue to upset what’s left of an ever decreasing fan base by failing to deliver on their promises. Hopefully one day things will improve for us all.
@@brickman1175 agreed absoulutely, where i live we never had any of the larger sets in store, only the smaller sets but it was atleast something. No clue why they decided to stop selling sets here unless its something to do with distribution costs. We do still have the pokemon sets in stores though, its not like they forgot about europe or anything
@@falloutgamer347 Yes, the Halo distribution is a mystery. If they can get Pokeman on shelves world wide then they should be able to get Halo alongside it. I'm not sure we'll ever know the truth. Either way it sucks.
Honestly It would be quite nice to see the phantoms in like an assembly line of sorts while you still don’t have all the parts and over time as you get the said parts have them put in a more conventional line.
I have this kind of idea lined up for another vehicle, just need to find the time to implement it. It would be amazing to do i5 with the Phantom but due to their size what I have planned wouldn’t be possible due to available parts.

A group of those phantoms give me so much joy similar to a group of LEGO gunships.
I agree, seeing solid brix studios collection of gunships inspired me to do similar with the phantoms and pelicans.

oh i think hes gonna make a covenant base with all this phantom on stand by ready for launch.
It would be a cool idea if you made a MAC cannon and used all those phantoms in a diorama to recreate that one mission from halo reach.
