    2:15:00 you should create an “ internal “ transmittal set containing all your layouts and close it. This way when you will create additional sets it won’t add your extra sheets folder to the transmittal set.

    Hi Eric. You can always coach on the requested issues your clients are asking for information even if they have to leave. They can always view the video when they have the time. Have a great weekend.

      Hey Richard - thanks for sharing your comment here. I try to give priority to people who are on the call for three reasons:
      1) It's much easier to explain when I have context, and can have a discussion back and forth to make sure that I'm hitting the right areas; many times the brief descriptions that people send in are vague and I can end up explaining things they already know (or have tried) rather than the actual issue at hand.
      2) It encourages people to attend rather than simply submitting a question and expecting me to answer it sufficiently for their needs - and this is often much more interesting to watch than when I wander around in a project looking for the issue, or simply explain a general concept
      3) I don't have time to answer everyone's questions, so I have to prioritize and choose - and this is a useful criteria - are you here? do you have a microphone so we can talk? etc.

    Hi Eric, is your Quickstart course still ok for Archicad 25? I learnt Archicad over 7 years ago and haven't used it since. I just got a job using it and need a refresher course.

    Hi Eric, 'Nogs' is the short for 'Noggins' it is a legit architectural term, 'blocking' is referred to something else.@1:57:12

      I understand that "Nogs" is a commonly used term in architecture; it is less familiar to me as an American since we refer to these as blocking - see this Wikipedia article with images: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blocking_(construction) "Blocking (in American English) is the use of short pieces (blocks) of dimensional lumber in wood framed construction. Uses include filling, spacing, joining, or reinforcing members.[1] Blocking is typically made from short off-cuts or defective, warped pieces of lumber. Names for similar materials in other forms of English include dwang, nog, noggin, and nogging. The term Blocking is also sometimes used by people in construction to refer to discontinuous shims or spacers."

    Thanks Eric. When and how often do you do these? I have so many questions

      @EricBobrow  3 года назад

      Hi Priest - I run these free ARCHICAD USER webinars once a month. Often I have guests who share their projects and talk about how they work; sometimes I run the session as a free coaching Q&A. If you have lots of questions, I encourage you to check out my weekly Archicad Coaching Program at archicadtraining.com/coaching; you can also invest in my full training course (which includes membership in the coaching program) - full info at archicadtraining.com

    Will the master template work for a UK practice? Does it matter we work in metric?

    • @EricBobrow
      @EricBobrow  2 года назад

      @Hans Gruber - yes MasterTemplate works for UK and other metric practices; I create two versions, one for USA (feet and inhces) and INT for the rest of the world (metric). Building assemblies (composites, complex profiles, beams and columns) for the INT version are based on UK and Australian standards. If you have additional questions, please reach out to me personally via email to support (at) bobrow.com.

    Can you make a short tutorial about custom markers in archicad?? May be for grid or elevations

    • @EricBobrow
      @EricBobrow  3 года назад +1

      Ahmed - The standard Archicad library versions of these markers are very complex, since they not only offer a variety of styles, they also handle rotation and mirroring in intelligent ways. If you send me (at support@bobrow.com) a picture of your desired style of marker, or a PLN that shows it drafted up (even if it is not connected to the grid or elevations), I may be able to create something that shows a few options for you.
