I remember seeing the early 2000s outfits in old AGTube videos all the time and wanted them badly! My favourite outfit would have to be the 2 in 1 Ballet outfit, it always reminds me of xmollygirlx's Christmas special from 2009 or 2010 which was my favorite video as a kid ❤️
The ballet outfit is just iconic. It was around for so long and it’s such a beautiful set. I was so excited when I got it as a kid

That swimsuit & coverup is soooo cute! The only one of these outfits I remember is the ballerina one. The outfits that give me the most nostalgia are the Historical's original meet outfits!
The ballerina outfit was everything to me as a kid. And it was around for a really long time I feel like! I think magazine look throughs are a better “nostalgia” type video because there’s something for everyone, not just a specific collection like this one

My daughter, Jordan, had the Outdoor Play Outfit. She used to put it on her Bitty Baby all the time and it was so cute on her. I remember SOOO many of these outfits from eBay in 2012 when I was buying Jordan her first 18" doll and outfits. I bought and sold so many of those outfits over the years. It's been such a fun journey. :) Thanks for sharing!

The Shimmer & Lace outfit is my favorite of the group, and I actually happen to have that one! It's especially gorgeous on Dolls with darker skin. Most of the outifts in your video I was unaware of, and so thanks for highlighting them!

Ooohhh my gosh!! I'm soo proud you got this video out!! The early outfits were sooo nostalgic. I had 3 of them. My sister had the 3 in 1 ballet outfit and the sweetheart pajamas, while i had the outdoor play outfit. I always wanted that sparkling sport outfit, the gardening outfit, wilderness outfit and skateboard outfit. Addy looked sooo pretty with her hair down!! I only vaguely remember seeing the tropical bloom outfit or that shimmer and lace party dress. I must have not been super into AG at that time. But dude i love how you included the years they were released and retired. I love the encyclopedic information. This video was sooo amazing!! ❤

Thank you! I’m not a huge fan of doing voice overs. I feel like i sound like a robot🤣 and with this in particular i was reading the descriptions and I’m REALLY bad at reading out loud. Overall I think it turned out alright though 🙃😊
As I listened I thought “this girl could do this professionally “ Your voice and reflexion seems very natural and is very enjoyable to listen too. Not to monotone but not overly dramatic. Just Right!😊

That outfit also had swim accessories for sale separately that I own as well and wanted to include, but I was only showing outfits. It comes with a cute snorkel and flippers though🥹🥹 i love learning about older AG clothes, specially pleasant company era
Okay so, I’m old(er than you), so my most nostalgic outfit from my childhood has to be the red vinyl jumper of legend. And as a bonus, Kirsten’s red boots. Most of these outfits are new to me, so thank you for sharing!

These outfits were out when my daughter first got into AG so I remember some of them but she didn’t own any of them. I however started collecting in 2009 and I have the Coconut Cutie outfit and the Shimmer and lace dress and the brown and white striped top from the Wilderness outfit (I got this at the thrift store and never knew what it went to).
The coconut cutie outfit seems to be VERY popular with this crown of people! I had no idea🤣

That’s how I feel with looking at AG stuff from the 90s-early 2000s. And even like 2017-2020. And even though they aren’t for sale on AG, there’s always eBay🤣 you didn’t technically miss out…🤣.

Fun look back! Boy, prices have much increased for AG outfits! You were a careful little girl to have not lost some those small accessories!😊 Though this was hard work, it makes a great archive for your outfits. Wouldn't it be great to do this for all the outfits you own?🤔
It’s interesting to see even if you haven’t seen the outfits before just to see how AG has changed over the years, prices included🙃 I wish the outfits were still the prices as these ones. And I am very proud of little Ann for taking good care of what I had as a child. I somehow managed to keep every tiny accessory and retained the memory of what items go with what outfit. I can do that for every outfit I own, which is weird because I can’t even remember what I ate for dinner yesterday🤣
I vaguely remember the first outfit, with the camo, which we didn't like at the time.
The gardening outfit was from when we weren't doing AG after my daughter had outgrown it.
Same with the dual ballet outfit.
Not sure I ever saw it before or even knew it existed. So interesting. Cute set

And some of these outfits were super short-lived. And the charms. I remember them very foggily as well. The swimsuit was also adorable.

The best part about making this video was definitely researching the outfits. Like you said a lot of them were short lived and I was unaware on that until this video! Surprisingly they aren’t worth much now despite only being in the market for a year or so. I thought that was interesting. Something about the sweetheart pajamas… they just look so cool i don’t know how to explain it. The charms were during the Innerstar University era. I have my charm necklace still and I was going to include it in this video but then i forgot🙃 I’m glad you enjoyed!❤️
My favorite is the Shimmer and Lace outfit! I hope to get that someday. It was nice to see that I own some of these outfits, although not the complete set. But at least now I know what they are called.
Honestly I didn’t know the name to most of these outfits before I made the video. It’s been SO long since I have seen them in a magazine with their description and everything so it was fun to take a walk down memory lane and re-learn everything about the outfits!

I barely remember that first outfit with the camo in it. Very vaguely. I never really paid attention to the modern ag clothes in the catalogs as I was always looking at the historical collections. I only remember some of the modern clothes just because I looked at some of the contemporary/ numbered dolls seeing who I liked best and wanted on my wishlist. Not there were many since all I really cared about was the historicals😂
I wish i could do a nostalgic historical outfits video but unfortunately I don’t have very many. I was more into girl of the years and the truly me dolls as a kid. The magazine look through videos I do are definitely better for nostalgia because there’s something in there for everybody

I got the Coconut Cutie on Ebay. I like all of the outfits. I don’t have favorites. I wasn’t collecting American Girl, then. So, there’s no nostalgia for me.
That outfit seems to be a crowd favorite! I love the skirt it’s very pretty. Even with no nostalgia, it’s fun to see what AG clothes looked like 10+ years ago. I love looking at old pleasant company outfits. I don’t get nostalgia because i wasn’t born yet, but i just like looking at the history of AG
