We had the chance only a few weeks ago. Yes the sheets were marked incorrectly, but not enough people went out and voted. If the votes were in the 300,000 mark, she might have listened. When they are only at 50,000, she doesn't care.

The fact that Calgary still is virtue signalling by voting for minorities who do not have all Calgarians in mind, speaks volumes. If Gov officials do not want to support actual Canadians, then we'll leave.

When I need a good laugh, this comment section provides that in a very large amount. It comes from people who have absolutely no clue, and from those who cannot even vote, just like you.
If the majority of you had any clue, you would see that Danielle Smith hasn't got a clue, and that she contradicts herself and is dishonest.
A short video clip surfaced recently, where it shows Danielle Smith talking around 2 years ago, saying that municipal governments should have autonomy, and they should be allowed to make their own decisions.
Even former Conservative politicians, including ones who were lawyers, have said that what Danielle Smith is doing, isn't legal. They are absolutely correct. If these former Conservative politicians have said that what Danielle Smith and the UCP are doing isn't legal, there is a big problem. The UCP aren't a Conservative government at all.

Let's see. It was Danielle Smith and the UCP who blew billions of dollars on various voter bribery schemes, including making Albertans pay $1.2 billion for the new hockey arena for Calgary, which all Albertans must now pay for. This is part of the UCP's well over $80 billion in very costly debacles and mistakes. When Danielle Smith was a radio talk show host, she opposed the new hockey arena for Calgary, because she said it didn't make any economic sense, and that property taxes in Calgary would increase. That's what is now happening. When Danielle Smith was the Wildrose party leader, she also opposed the government funding sports arenas, directly, or indirectly. Calgary's mayor is a convenient scapegoat for the very costly debacles and mistakes of Danielle Smith and the UCP. Understanding what Danielle Smith is really like in politics, only comes from being able to vote for a long time. Bots, people who can't vote, and trolls, wouldn't understand that.

Lol everyone called it. You voice you concerns and the mayor and her office just do it anyway.

    • @dwaynewladyka577
      @dwaynewladyka577 26 дней назад +2

You have it all backwards. It's the people of Alberta who voice their concerns, and Danielle Smith and the UCP do it anyways.
The Alberta Provincial Pension Plan, which most Albertans oppose, the Alberta Provincial Police Force, which rural municipal leaders in Alberta oppose, because they say it will cost at least $1 billion, and open pit coal mining in the Rockies, which most Albertans oppose, because of damage to the mountains, and selenium contamination in the water, are good examples.
Recently, the courts ordered the UCP to produce documents they were hiding about open pit coal mining in the Rockies of Alberta. It was revealed that the UCP were lobbying for open pit coal mining in Alberta, 7 months before they informed Albertans what their intentions were.
Before the last provincial election in Alberta, at provincial election forums, where the media were present, UCP MLAs have told Albertans in attendance, that the UCP had no intentions of touching the CPP of Albertans.
Danielle Smith and the UCP even said that the Alberta Provincial Pension Plan wasn't going to be part of the provincial election agenda, in 2023, and yet the UCP are pursuing it.
Also, Danielle Smith and the UCP never campaigned on interfering with municipal affairs in Alberta.
In fact, a video clip surfaced recently, which shows Danielle Smith saying around 2 years ago that municipal governments should have autonomy, and should be allowed to make their own decisions.
Here, Danielle Smith is doing the exact opposite.
In addition, Danielle Smith is contradicting herself, not telling the truth, and is showing no leadership.
One of the reasons why Danielle Smith didn't last long as the Wildrose party leader, is because she is so dishonest.
Former Conservative politicians in Alberta have even said that they don't trust Danielle Smith, and they said it is because she is so dishonest.
      They are correct.

Parking, playgrounds, green spaces, all the things that newer subdivisions that have mixed zoning can and does accommodate.
The only sheeple are those that repeat rhetoric about cheaper, more available housing.
The city evicted the mobile home park on 16th Ave. After those ppl paid taxes for decades, the city didn't upgrade sewer. Now 6 years later, luxury condos with shops.

No. The zoning was in place to reflect what citizens wanted and what the marketplace demanded. The last thing we need is to follow the woke “we know best” dictator mayors like they had in Vancouver. That’s why Vancouver is in the mess it is in. Dense neighbourhoods breed crime, drugs and conflict. The lack of supply is because the City stifles mixed development, does not enforce building codes, and does not coordinate with the province on infrastructure like expressways and schools. Our neighbourhood was 10 years old before we had local schools. Too late for our kids.
