    This video just summed up all my exact thoughts on mice, and I'm 20 something mice deep now. Actually have a g303 shroud arriving tomorrow and hoping that it performs for me as it does for you. Like you, my g gro x has been my staple as it has performance that is a teir above and I love that the potato shape works very well, although not tunnelling you into any one grip. Every time I am judging a mouse it is compared to how it performs compared to the GPX. I love my za13-c but won't be my main unless it becomes wireless now. X-lite V2 is my all time favourite ergo as it's still nimble enough for size but don't think it would ever be main. If they make a wireless NP-01 that could possibly be the end of the road also.
    The changes that the Viper V2 pro has over the original is exactly what I wanted to have changed and also it bridges that gap of the starlight 12 medium performing well but feeling like a cheap toy (love to hate this mouse) and having something very light weight and premium with no holes. I have a feeling that if the v2 pro or g303 shroud don't knock the gpx off the top spot for me, it will only be a light weight, wireless NP-01 or za13-c, and who knows when that may actually happen.
    And one other thing that I have noticed over my journey is that the tuning of the switch/shell has become more important to me than the switch itself. It wasn't until a few poor implementation of kailh 8.0's to make me realise that. My original GPX I switc swapped to the kailh 8.0 and fell in love. Got let down by a lot of mice, including the X-lite in that they just don't have the same feeling and I even prefer the feel of my second GPX with the standard omrons over a lot of implementations of better switches tuned poorly. I never thought that would happen. I'm like yourself and prefer a snappier feeling switch. Vaxee huano's and my switch swapped GPX are my favourites

    You can easily fix most of the FM issues
    The creaking can be fixed with tightening the screws and some foam. You can ask in the fm discord what they use I cant remember. As well as the pre and post and side buttons easily fixed with aluminium tape. Latency on the newest firmware is on par with any top mice. And the scroll wheel issues are also fixed.
    Did you cop a InfinityMice hump for it the other day? Theres a new drop in a few weeks. 90% sure it may be my main for a long time with the custom hump.
    I cant do the Viper with that little palm support with my more aggressive claw

    • @3ildcard
      @3ildcard 2 года назад +3

      Relate for the Viper and the lack of palm support along with the extremely deep side concaves/slopes, huge front and rear flare.
      As for the "You can fix FM issues", it seems as if you wrote this with a frustration which is comical. You have to pay from 250 to 300€ for an f-ing mouse and then DIY? That's a yikes. Of course you can fix it but his point remains valid - good shape, good weight and extremely poor quality control/execution just like all their past mice.

    • @Valla451
      @Valla451 2 года назад

      @@3ildcard Well if you ask me it seems like he is the one annoyed he has to do a little work on a mouse. And the latency comment is no longer an issue. The mouse does not cost that much at launch. And I lightweight mod all of my mice... so I don't mind its really not that hard.

    Coincidentally at about the same time, my grip has changed as well from the regular pincer claw, but it's now a pincer claw grip without any thumb contact(I think it's called mcp claw?)
    Seems to make me more reliant on having a higher humped rear mouse, since I need some more contact on my metacarpals for added stability.
    I got a za13-b for cheap and I think this shape is probably close to endgame but the weight and cable isn't great. Settling on the hati-s for now, looking forward to the LGG mouse, the pulsar x2/mini and the xm1 mini.

    How's the scroll wheel of the V2 Pro compared to the Superlight? The Superlight has my favorite scroll wheel and I love the height it's at too.
    Two weeks ago I bought a brand new Superlight for $150, so I could easily return it in exchange for the V2 Pro. Just a matter of if it's worth it.
    Took me a while to get use the Superlight, but I can say that I am currently enjoying it. The better switches of the V2 Pro are enticing me though. My biggest dislike of the Superlight were definitely the buttons.
    However, I have a G502 Wireless so having two mice under the same software is nice, and I do use software enough to keep it. I do not like Synapse. A reason why I remind myself why I don't want to get a Razer mouse (I do like the Orochi though).

    • @yh12z1
