When you stop thinking about Yuno x Yuki and think about what happened during this series... A game to turn a normal human into God turned smart, caring people into lunatics, desperate to kill one another. I'm not saying this applies to every diary owner, but it applies to some of them. A 14 year old boy, an outcast, kills his friends when they stand in his way. The OVA shows them alive again, but they're from a different world. Yuki still killed his friends in cold blood. The original World 2 Yuno was sane, as was the first Yuno before World 1 Yuki died. She simply had a crush on Yuki. World 2 Yuno was brutally murdered so Yuki never fell in love with the right girl. I also don't understand how Yuki and Yuno won in the first world. By the time 1st world Yuno had gotten to the 2nd world, she had become a seasoned killer through experience of the 1st world. But she didn't have that experience in the 1st world. She was not a killer originally. So how did she lead her and Yuki to victory?
Yuno did the exact same in world 2 as she did world 1 up until yukki found the corpses in yuno's room the. demon girl (whatever her name is) says that in the last few episodes.

But for the first world point, I think Yukki stepped up more than second world Yukki considering he wasn't so protected.

0:24, epic moment. Yuno Gasai became the most intelligent and twisted character, and the key to this anime. It's terrifying to think that the world was altered by her, due to her ambition to be with Yuki as many times as needed. Tremendous character, I love it
If you ask me, her intense love is her signature. I mean the third world Deus didn't go for the survival game because he says yuno's love traversed 3 universes and he thinks it's fate itself. Another interpretation would be that her strong love bent even the fate to her will.
And her first goal was just to protect the second world Yuki. Only when he refuses to be the god she goes for her second goal which is to travel and be with the 3rd world Yuki. I mean if she just wanted to be with Yuki as many times as possible she wouldn't have tried to sacrifice herself to protect 2nd world Yuki from the fourth (the police guy) right? There are many clues to how her first goal was just to protect Yuki till he becomes god (for example She asks Yuki to promise to kill her and become a god). She herself mentions that she has no future and her only ambition is to protect 2nd world Yuki (The same is the lyrics for 2nd ending Filament)

But she also says "If you'll die anyways, what's stopping ME from becoming God?", she's also ambicious, but her ambitions are to see Yuki again, even if it isn't the same person

This show could use a 3rd season. I know people would say, "But why? There's nothing that could happen." Not true. Soooo much could happen. With the amount of plot depth this had with there being multiple universes you could easily make up another plot, one where the first 2 seasons were pretty much just the beginning, not to mention the end showed Yuki and Yuno creating a 3rd world, you could show what they do with that world etc. This would've make a good opening for a full 3rd season is what made me state this.
For all you fans of the show out there, I highly suggest reading all the mirai nikki manga series as well. They give extra backstory to the characters of the show, and really give the readers a much more enjoyable and full picture of everything.
Nini Chen I have only seen the first season. It was very nice. Somehow i got a strange lesson out of it. No matter how messed up the world is or how messed up you, there is a love out there for everyone. Something worth changing and fighting for. Hope its not too odd.

I know to others it may seem pretty standard, but for me this is shit just displays a million different emotions at once. Something about every tone, note, and pitch in this short 14 seconds just invokes me. I can’t explain it other than that it’s just pure sound gold. ( I’m weird I know🙂)

This anime might just be the only one around that feels right about god's intentions, role and defiance of morals. After all, looking at how the world we live in has evolved, I wouldn't exclude the idea of god being an injust maniac chosen in a way as stupid as a game of survival. Plus, any human has his wishes, pleasures and moral code. It would be hard to belive that our maker is any different. Hell, it makes you question a lot of things. That's what I love about this anime. People who don't deserve to die kick the bucket, and even those who acted like the antagonists made you feel sorry for them. My favorite series and that's for all the good reasons.

It would be pretty interesting to see the story from the serial killer's perspective and having an paradox where he becomes god!
I feel like it is very dumb to fight for a title impossible to gain though. To be a god, you should be perfect and pure, you should not even be easy to imagine. If a person is going to fight to become a god, with injustice, it's another reason that they are weak, because if they are, no need to fight, just kill them in a snap of fingers, why can't they do that? But then, that opening is not bad.

Note: This is NOT an indication of a new season. As much as I wish it were, it is just an extra/special feature of the 9th Bluray Volume. The most we can hope for is an OVA/mini series of what little content they have left to go on, but don't count on it. That are good and unique from each other, there are many other anime that have more ops that are good, but considering the size of the anime its an impressive feat.
I know it's not her, but she kind of sounds like Yuno (if she had a singing voice). At first the song seems kind of "sweet" like with showing Yukki and Yuno. Then it gets really bitter showing everyone dying (especially Marco and Ai that was so sad). I feel it's kind of "Bitter-Sweet"

Man I just love the last 8 seconds of this opening. The background color, the wind, the music, and the vocals make it something great.
The end of this opening gives me chills every time.

This anime might just be the only one around that feels right about god's intentions, role and defiance of morals. After all, looking at how the world we live in has evolved, I wouldn't exclude the idea of god being an injust maniac chosen in a way as stupid as a game of survival. Plus, any human has his wishes, pleasures and moral code. It would be hard to belive that our maker is any different. Hell, it makes you question a lot of things. That's what I love about this anime. People who don't deserve to die kick the bucket, and even those who acted like the antagonists made you feel sorry for them. My favorite series and that's for all the good reasons.

It would be pretty interesting to see the story from the serial killer's perspective and having an paradox where he becomes god!

I feel like it is very dumb to fight for a title impossible to gain though. To be a god, you should be perfect and pure, you should not even be easy to imagine.
If a person is going to fight to become a god, with injustice, it's another reason that they are weak, because if they are, no need to fight, just kill them in a snap of fingers, why can't they do that?
But then, that opening is not bad.

i noticed something,every characther that dies in the show it's here,but with blood.but if you look at this scene: 1:17 when the man shoots the girl,from the man it comes blood,but from the girl no.(i forgoted their names).just like in anime,we think she will die,but nooo.

I never thought I would cry at almost everyone's (not all) deaths after realizing their past and pretty much this whole anime just showed, there is no god just inhumane humans

The most we can hope for is an OVA/mini series of what little content they have left to go on, but don't count on it. Second one, really, I don’t think so. Also everyone monogatari op is amazing and there’s like, a fucking dozen of those things.
That are good and unique from each other, there are many other anime that have more ops that are good, but considering the size of the anime its an impressive feat.

I know it's not her, but she kind of sounds like Yuno (if she had a singing voice). At first the song seems kind of "sweet" like with showing Yukki and Yuno. Then it gets really bitter showing everyone dying (especially Marco and Ai that was so sad). I feel it's kind of "Bitter-Sweet"
