Ghala in Arabic means dear. The Kalakasi oud is one of the rarest, most expensive, best, heavy, finest and oldest types of agarwood oil. It is costly to extract the oil due to the rarity. It’s considered being ultra rich for the one’s who owns it but even though it’s very famous in the Middle East. 3 ml of it can cost you up to 1,430 usd. But because it’s so intense you don’t need a large amount of it. We use it for very special occasions like weddings.
I bought WID last year. My favorite wear in Summer on super hot day. I am actually connected with the founder in Instagram. He is such a young guy. But his rich taste in perfume deserves applause. As well his watch collection 😊
Dear Sebastian, I am fascinated by the notes in Heyam especially Gin, Tobacco and Leather sounds like a magical concoction. Thanks a lot from the UK
Never heard of this house!! But OMG what an incredible opportunity!!! Loyal subscriber from Kaunas, Lithuania. Sebastian is the GOAT of all fragrances reviewers!! :)
Never heard of them, but Ghala definitely caught my attention I'm always in for Oud-Rose and if it is as you said a little animalic then it's a winner for me! Also love leathery fragrances, I think it's becoming my favorite note so Heyam sounds also very interesting, the bottles are also very nice I prefer the transparent ones. Thanks for the review Sevastian!!! Texas.
Wow the bottle is absolutely gorgeous!! I've never seen my name written on anything so this is so cool to see a perfume with my name :) I'd love to win the giveaway and having someone asked me what scent I'm wearing and literally be able to say I'm wearing my name!! I love the time and detail you put into describing the scents. Subscriber from Maryland :)
Your name is the name of the fragrance! WOW!!
That's so cool😎
I've tested Ghala on paper and it smells out of this world. I wasn't a fan of oud+rose fragrances, especially from the East. But our preferences and tastes evolve and here are we now - this is simply magnificent. I've already tested another fragrance on my skin, but I'll be back some other day.
And yes, if there's a giveaway for Ghala, I would be very honoured and pleased to participate (Europe, Belgium, Bruxelles).
I love how open you were on this video on what to expect, and openly saying what you didn’t like! I would love to try this perfume as I’m still very new to the world of perfume and have been researching to start a collection, for 2 months now! Cheers from France, Sebastian!
The notes of both Ghala and Heyam sound absolutely divine. Thank you for introducing us to this new house. Would love to try those.
Regards from Milan Italy
I would like to be entered into the giveaway.
Finally someone talking about Jazeel. The brand is popular with collectors here in my country, but unfortunately I never tested it. By the way, this is what I liked the most about the video, answering the first question. The fact that someone is digging deeper into the brand.
I want to get a bottle of Heyam because I love tobacco fragrances and I also love Chris Maurice's creations. Incusive he is the author of one of my favorite fragrances.
Thanks for the opportunity Jazeel and Sebastian
Michel Anderson
São Paulo - Brazil
This is a new house for me. Excited about Oud Rose that’s my fav combo. The tobacco & leather is fascinating too. Thank you for the introduction. This house is formulating with all my desired notes. Indianapolis, Indiana
Thanks for the video, I love the way you describe fragrances, and that you talk about a lot of new perfume houses instead of just the usual designer ones. I think I would really like Heyam since I love both leather and tobacco fragrances. Greetings from Houston TX!
This collection in the background, is just out of this world.
I would kill to get Ghala in the Tucson winter. I have never heard of this house, so thank you for introducing it to us! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Heyam seems so masculine! It is so exciting, and complex hearing about the notes. . .
I've never heard about this house before. I'm not entering this giveaway since the fragrance leans very masculine. Good luck to everyone! Thanks Sebastian for this video. I'm learning a lot from you.😊
Heyam sounds absolutely delicious, smoky/spicy/woody fragrances are my favourite. I haven't tried a lot of middle eastern style fragrances and i'd LOVE the chance to try this one, it's stuffed full of my favourite notes! i was so happy when you said that was the one you're giving away (commenting from the UK)
Great video!!
I used to see Jazeel bottles on the Instagram posts. And been waiting your review for a while and finally!!
SHOUQ sounds really beautiful I can’t wait to try it out in the future.
HEYAM is an also interesting one because I’ve been wanting a good leather fragrance for a while and I am huge fan of Chris Maurice.
NY, USA
Dear Sebastian, I am intrigued by the notes in Heyam especially Tobacco and Leather in particular. I always like your videos your attention to detail is second to none. Thanks a million from the United Kingdom
I tried those three and Heyam is my favorite, and it has this quality that you are smelling it the whole time, really good
WOW , those are some nice bottles & packaging , prices are pretty high but the juice sounds very interesting . I would love to try HEYAM as I love leather & Tabacco frags . Thanks for highlighting another great house Sebastian ... Cheers from Ohio , USA
I love you videos introducing new houses. Heyam is my favorite I love leather and tobacco spicy fragrances. Happy this one is open for the giveaway. I'm from Illinois US
And this is why I watch your videos, Sebastian...to learn about new fragrance houses. And Jazeel certainly looks and sounds amazing. The way you describe Heyam with its aromatic leather and tobacco notes sounds like it's right up my alley, which is why I would love to be in with a chance to win a full bottle. Cheers from Australia as always! Paul.
Thank you Sebastian for a wonderful review. I find that your channel is one of the few presenting new houses all of which worth exploring! Great job! Heyam being a leathery and slightly animalic offering will be my favorite of the bunch. Other than that I will be also interested to try Ghala and particularly interested in the Indian rose absolu note in it. Price is prohibitive though. Greetings from Bulgaria and good luck to everyone!
This is a very exclusive house, Ghala is one of the best Oud Rose "combo" that I've ever tried, and the others one I don't remember how them smells like.
I want participate in the give away. Thank you Sebastian from UK.
Id never heard of this brand before. Those bottles really are sharp too. Im in Maine and the giveaway bottle was the one that was most appealingly to me as well.
Hi Sebastian! I definitely have to get into this contest, rose and oud… perfect combination. Thank you for presenting us this amazing house. Never heard of this fragrances before. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
In Arabic meanings:
Ghala غلا : precious
Hayam هَيام : ardent love
Souq شوق : longing
Wid وِدّ : cordial
I liked this video since you exposed me to a new fragrance company that I wasn't familiar with, and the in-depth description was quite helpful. I'm trying to expand my perfume collection, and the Heyam bottle would be a perfect addition because I don't have a tobacco/earthy scent, not because I don't like them but I haven't been able to purchase one. Having Heyam bottle would be a great introduction to the Jazeel perfumes. From South Africa
Hi Sebastian, All sound pretty amazing, but Heyam definitely sounds my speed, love the idea of a leather, tobacco and woodsy blend! USA California here.
Thanks for the introduction to a new house, I always enjoy hearing about new perfume houses and new fragrances! I'm starting to like leather fragrances a lot but I dont own any in a full bottle yet. Heyam sounds great and like something I'd love to have in my collection, thank you for the opportunity to win a bottle! I'm commenting from Sweden!
Wow… these sound spectacular. Those bottles are fantastic!!
Heyam seems to be right up my alley and I would love an opportunity to experience this seemingly wonderful fragrance. I absolutely love Gucci Guilty Absolute so if Heyam has that dry, manly, leathery feel I would probably love it!! Thank you Sebastian.
Mike from Pennsylvania 🇺🇸
Shouq(shewq) sounds really full of mercy. I would loved it. And thank you. I am trying every time to let you send this GA to Germany, this time I have feelings.
I'm interested in how other areas of the world interpret what smells good. So it's cool that you are featuring a Middle Eastern house. Ghala sounds like it is hitting all the notes of Arab fragrance. According to your description it sounds as if the creator of Wid was trying to recreate the smell of muskmelon (similar to a cantaloupe but is not), which make me want to experience it. Great review and the bottles are dope. Here is the USA.
Heyam sounds incredible! Orous with tobacco and leather sounds delectable. Without the true sweetness of tobacco it seems it would be a unique addition to my modest collection as I try to move towards more unusual fragrances. I'm a huge fan of masculine leaning fragrances despite being feminine. Thrilled to participate in this giveaway for such a gorgeous fragrance, hi from Florida!
I've never heard of this house previously I will definitely be keeping an eye out!!!
I’ve been intrigued by this house for a while, but yet to try any of their scents. Thanks for walking through these 4 core fragrances. Your descriptions helped to really bring to life the notes and the performance. I would love to try Hayem, as something different to what I would normally gravitate towards, which would be more along the lines of Wid. Subscriber from Switzerland
I really appreciated bring introduced to this new house. From your descriptions, my favorites are:
1) Heyam
2) Shouq
3) Ghala (would be no. 1, but I don't like syrupy-sweet fragrances)
4) Wid
The reason I want a bottle of Heyam is because of the mix of notes (especially the tobacco and the rose). It should be a good wear, seeing as I'm in Winter.
I am from Waldorf, Maryland, USA.
I’ve never heard of this house , Ghala sounds great, I really want to try one of this fragrances . Thank you Sebastian
Thanks for the great review, Sebastian. I've never heard of the house before, but the perfumes sounded great. Greetings from Germany
I have a sample of Ghala and was surprised how masculine and woody it was - I wear plenty of masculine type fragrances . It is really superior . Would love to win the gorgeous leather/orris Heyam !! The Palace also will join my collection . I am in the US big sky country Montana . I love that your opinion is so close to mine about these frags - scent twins cuz I cannot tolerate melon . ....thank you to Jazeel for the generous giveaway , and thank you to you for hosting . rvmvadati has a great review of this on his channel .
Thanks for yet another excellent video .I love Middle Eastern fragrances. I am aware of this house and I own Shouq. I love the opening and middle notes but the dry down is a bit less dramatic .
I would definitely like to try Heyam as the sandalwood dry down intrigues me .
One question , why do you often like the most pricey perfume from a house ?
Just kidding !
I am from the U.K.
I have never heard of this house before but thanks to you Sebastian for introducing us to this luxury exotic line. I would like to enter thIs
giveaway for Hiyam as I love warm spicy woodsy aromatic fragrances especially in winter! Thanks and greetings from Phoenix AZ.
I like how you always do these unique Lux houses. I like leather and tobacco and seems like it could work in all seasons. Plus I’m broke so gotta love free stuff. As always, a great video. Regards from NC, US.
Heyam is pure masculinity illustrated by your words. This period of my life I crave after leather, tobacco, vetiver, booze and all the heavy dark shit. I actually do prefer the clear bottle over the fancy one. I live in Hungary.
I've been seeing and reading about this house, but I'm yet to try it. As per usual, I really love the way you describe fragrances and go into detail about your experience with them. It's always a great starting point when considering what to look out for! I've been digging into leather fragrances lately, so it would be a great addition! 😉🤌 Loool I'm commenting all the way from Portugal! Thanks for another great video! 👍
Sebastian, I would really get that Ghala perfume! Rose, oud, and patchouli are the perfect combination in my humble opinion. Rose is the queen for me and I am sure the scent is to die for. Taking in consideration the house, the elements, the animalistic part, and your review Ghala is the one.
Thank you for such a great introduction into this brand, all the fragrances you mentioned sound amazing and I would love to enter the giveaway and nose dive right into Heyam , the notes are right up my alley….. leather, spice , booze & tobacco just the right mixture to tackle this British weather 👍🏽
Leather is one of my, if not my most, favorite fragrance accords. Throw in tobacco and orris/iris and I'm so intrigued by Heyam! Would love to get my nose on this here in my home state of Texas! As for the possible perfumer for Shouq, it apparently reminds several people of Xerjoff's Alexandria II, which is also a Chris Maurice fragrance. Thank you for the video, Sebastian!
Have you tried Tabasco Blaze by Rasasi? Absolutely stunning fragrance…my go to and it’s inexpensive. Smells of high quality ingredients.
Great review👍
Sadly WID is nothing for you. For me its the perfekt summer fragrance. It was my most worn summer fragrance of 2021.
I love it a lot. Fruity and floral Notes are in a perfekt Balance with the acquatic Melone. It shines in the summer heat.
I sampled jazeel wid once, it is very nice and i love it, Iam very curious about the other one from this house. Greetings from Indonesia.
I appreciate discovering this fragrance house- I've never heard of them before having watched this video. I truly hope to win a bottle of "Heyam" for different reasons, e.g. its list of notes caused me to be intrigued because I love cloves, tobacco, and the rest of them. I like a fragrance which includes a pungent, dried tobacco leaves aspect to it. I can like leather fragrances, and also, I like orris in fragrances. Also, this fragrance seems luxurious, and I would like to add it to my collection. I live in MD., U.S.A. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.
Loved this intro to a house unheard of before.
Would love Heyam because of the limited leather fragrances I have.
New York
Thanks Sebastian. Not a huge fan of very animatic fragrances but love orientals and oud. What incredible bottles, would love to have one in my collection! Hi from the UAE.
I recently tried the line not too long ago and my order of favorites align with yours 🤣
I also pickup up a bottle of ghala and it really is gorgeous!
Wouldn’t mind having another from the brand to pair with it 😂
Are you going to try the new one from a different collection? I’m curious about that too!
I’m from Israel 🙏
Ghala sounds amazing! Love animalic touches with rose, would love to try this and Hayam. Love from Illinois USA
I've heard about this brand on a middle Eastern /South Asian blog I follow. The notes on Hyman sound very intriguing. I'd be interested in seeing how it reads with certain body chemistries.
Only own and have smeeled WID. Its a nice citrus & fruit heavy fragrance. Linear but very good.
I'd love to try a bottle of Jazeel Hayem. The mix of tobacco, cloves, nutmeg, bergamot ans iris sound amazing! I'm from Minnesota. (USA)
Sunrise Ruby is perfect I’m so happy I got one before they’re gone
Just recently started collecting and I watched your review on Initio Parfums which I sent for a sample because the oud sounds mysterious, when I received sample I fell in love with it the oud was very pleasant to me now I want to experience more ouds. When you talk about ouds I automatically think middle - eastern .win or lose I'm sending for a few oud decants, and the House of JAZEEL sounds like a winner to me according to your very descriptive review. Thanks Luckyboyluna from California,USA.
Wow these bottles are incredible looking, I like it when you nerd out over cool bottles its part of the joy of the hobby. Heyam actually sounds like the one I'd want. I have yet to really explore proper "rose+oud" combo so I don't know if Ghala sounds great to me just yet. But Heyam sounds like something I'd potentially buy, really great sounding fragrance. New Zealand
I like that you cover houses that are not very well known, and you don’t hype stuff 😇 one of these days when I’m in SF I would love to visit you fragrance library. I want to win this bottle because I’m an enthusiast, I love the presentation, the smell is intriguing and I’m also a student so buying is not an option. I’m from Fresno, CA
I already have a decant from Ghala and Shouq and i absolutely love them. I haven't smelled Heyam yet but I'd love to. Greetings from the beautiful austria. :)
OOH love that you love those two! :)
Greetings from Taiwan! This brand sounds pretty phenomenal from your review making really really intrigued. I would love to try any from this brand too bad the giveaway isn’t Ghala but your second favorite undoubtedly is something I’d def love to wear on.
Heard of this house through Jovoy but not tried any. Intrigued by Ghala as big oud/rose lover, interesting how it compares to my favourites like FM the night & Roja Amber Aoud. Heyam sounds good too as big leather fan. I am in England.
I’ve never heard of this house but I’m super excited to learn about them. Just recently I’ve ordered some samples from another house with Oud fragrances. (This house is not a Middle Eastern Fragrance House)
Oud is somewhat new to me. Sadly the samples I’ve gotten, I was not in love with. It’s because I like them a bit sweeter and more Ambery. Either way, I’m excited to smell more Oud perfumes. Since this house is actually Middle Eastern, I’m sure they are getting the Oud Right with their perfumes. I’m in Tennessee USA.
When and how do you announce the winner? 😉
I came across this house on Instagram and, i was intrigued, specifically about the different oud and rose combinations in Ghala since i love rose and oud, Heyam also sounds interesting with the blend of cloves, tobacco, and Gin for a woody spicy experience on a leather base, really nice presentation, definitely want to get my hands on these two, thank you for this review, currently watching from Qatar.
Please do more new niche house video like this Sabastian, it gave us new perspective from lots of new brands, the bottle of the perfumes are so beautiful, i would love to enter the giveaway! Love middle eastern and slight animalic frags! Cheers from Abu Dhabi, UAE
Great review of these newer fragrances from this house! I’ve never tried any from the brand but they all sound great. Heyam seems like it would be right up my alley… you can sign me up for anything with a slightly animalic leather and tobacco and the iris sounds intriguing. Thank you for the opportunity! USA
i really like your detailed descriptions of the fragrances. I find we have very similar taste so everytime you describe a fragrance and what you like about it I have a good idea of what i'd think about it. I really have to look into Ghala asap and heyam seems to be great as well. The leather contrasted with the orris sounds super interesting and like something i'd crave. Keep it up with these awesome videos! Subscriber from the netherlands.
Thank you Sebastian for all your hard work and research. I like your videos because I trust your taste. I purchased two pricey perfumes not so long ago based on your opinion and I definitely don't regret it. I would really love to try the Heyam for it's tobacco and bergamot notes. USA, California.
George here from NJ. Looks like i would love the second one you discussed. Would be fun to try a good tobacco centric perfume
I've heard a lot of good things about this house a few months ago & decided to blind buy Ghala because no sample being sold in my country 😅 Actually Heyam is my 2nd parfume that i'm interested from this house, so i really hope can win the giveaway. I'm from Surabaya city,Indonesia 🇮🇩
greetings from Romania 🇷🇴 …nice video as always Sebastian 🔝🙏 haven’t heard to much about this house before , but in the last time i’m enjoying more and more hard oriental fragrances and this brand sounds like one ☝️ that i’ve got to check - of course Ghala sounds like a favorite for me too ( as a drunk in love oud rose 🌹 animalic guy ) , Heyam seems to be also a heavy hitter in this cold time :D so i would be glad to have the chance winning such a prestigious bottle of it !Thanks for making it possible and good luck to everyone 🍀🍀🍀
Yes!!! Thank you Sebastian for this video! As I couldn’t find much on this house so this is super helpful 😊 I have been eyeing this brand and own Ghala which is absolutely stunning! I love middle eastern perfumery so this is right up my alley. Would love to win the giveaway if I’m so lucky. Based in the US
Awesome video once more, the way you describe the fragrances is what i always love in the videos you make. Also , for me your videos have a calming effect(i do not know why). I would love to try the fragrance because i want to expand my horizons as a fragrance enthusiast and fragrance adventurer, also leather, tobacco, cloves i really like and from the way you spoke about the fragrance, you made me wanna try it. Iam from Greece.
Lol you most definitely keep me taking notes with ur great view/knowledge of fragrances.... "THUMBS UP"🥊🔔
Everytime new fascinating discoveries, thanks Sebastian ✌🏻i also like the bottles a lot. Much love from italy, fingers crossed for the giveaway 😎
I love this video because you're so detailed about each fragrance with each note. I have blind bought several fragrances (Creation E, Parfum De La Nuit 3, Rima XI) because of your videos. I've never tried any Jazeel fragrance so I'd LOVE to win a bottle to try.... (Louisiana, USA)
I agree I love the art deco design on the bottles. I want one of them. I have to see though I don't like animalic perfumes.
Jazeel means “many” or “a lot” in Arabic. It does seem like they paid a lot of attention to the design of the bottles and the notes they have used. I’m very much interested to see if they follow the same DNA as Amouage. I haven’t heard of them before this video but I’m looking forward to discover more about these fragrances and share them with family and friends. I suspect this house to be another niche Arabian, perfume house with lots of oriental leaning fragrances. I think they will be hit in the near future. Keen to try fragrances from this house and I hope they become available in Australia. I’m Daniel from Sydney.
Thanks for your thoughts on Jazeel Perfumes. I'm a fan of unique unisex fragrances and Heyam sounds like a great fit for me with its tobacco, nutmeg, clove and gin notes. Mich USA
Hello, I wish you a happy new year. Is there a fragrance similar to Ghala that you can mention to us, and is it another version of oud and rose?Because I have in my collection many oud and rose perfumes
Maybe try this video for suggestions? ruclips.net/video/942SZWnaK9A/видео.html
How coincidental, Sebastian. About a week ago I came across Jazeel’s fragrances on the web and, yes, I was struck by the elegance and manifest presence of the bottles. I also learned that the individual behind the brand is a connoisseur of watches which parallels my interest. But I couldn’t find a retailer in the US or Europe. Admittedly I was most intrigued by “The Palace.” And I must say I admire people who are passionate about their art and craft and can bring it to fruition to share with an appreciative audience. Thus your video is quite timely and introduces me to other exquisite fragrances this estimable house produces. Would love to win “Heyam.”
It would be a perfect reminder to this resident New Yorker of the end of a long pandemic and a salutary gift of a new beginning.
Heyam is so good! The tobacco is so nice. One of my favorites. My girlfriend loves Wid and I love it on her. I am not a fan of melon either, especially on me, but on her it smells amazing. I have not tried Shouq yet but it's on the list. I would love to win the Heyam! I'm in the US. Maryland. Glad you got a chance to check out this house! Great video as always.
Interesting as i ordered a sample of heyam cuz i love tobacco fragrances
Never heard of this house however I'm most interested in the last fragrance mentioned, Wid, and the first mentioned, Ghala. I don't mind a more masculine leaning scent however these 2 fragrances sounded the most feminine based on the notes.
Good pronunciation so far 😃
⓵ 02:05 Ghal ( gha’la ) = preciousness
⓶ 07:05 Heyam ( he’yam ) = passioness
⓷ 10:45 Shouq ( showg ) = eagerness
⓸ 13:19 Wid ( wid ) = amiableness
I am Lebanese after all! ;)
@@ThePerfumeGuy That’s awesome, 🤍 the previous comment is kind of appreciation for your great work on this channel.
Thank you! :)
Surprisingly I received my bottle of Ghala today. It's so beautiful! Realistic oud & rose fragrance. Opening was such an experience. Great review Sebastian 🙂
From Jazeel, I only know Wid. Fresh, sweet, fruity mango with a hint of citric orange, floral and slightly aquatic. A powdery musk and a creamy cedarwood in the drydown. Like you, the fruity aquatic facet doesn't do it for me. Maybe I will prefer Heyam. Greetings from Portugal.
North Carolina US - I enjoyed the video because I haven’t heard much about this house. I like hearing about new houses and houses not everyone is talking about. I love finding unique perfumes or less talked about houses. I want to win because I would love to get my nose on these. The bottles are gorgeous!!
Ghala sounds amazing for me I love these kind of scents
I really like to learn about new parfumes. And you present them the best way possible.
Keep up the good work, greatings from NORWAY, Europe.
Thank you! :)
Greeting from Portugal! Wish you all the happy holidays! I´d love to try the amazing HEYAM. Hope this leathery fragrance can suit me. Difficult for me to find a perfect leathery one.
Ghala by Jazeel scream my name as the oud, rose and animalic is prominent and I would like to have one.
Wow. Beautiful bottles. I am very interested in HEYAM.
Tengo Millennium Star y es maravilloso,un oud suavecito con granada, fantástico!!
Been waiting for this!! Thanks
Hope you enjoyed it!
Sebastian you introduce the most unique & intriguing luxury fragrance houses. I'd love to participate from New York, USA. The Names & Notes transport me to Morocco, Turkey & UAE.
GHALA with its "syrupy, thick, jammy rose" is reminiscent of Rose Turkish Delight candy.
HEYAM gives leather poufs from Morocco & the Tobacco note gives 'Sheesha".
SHOUQ gives spice, gold, incense markets throughout the Middle East.
WID reminds me of a Moroccan expression which translates to "don't mention it".
