Wow, I was admiring your locs pre bleach and then saw this video. It’s a shame this happened but maybe it’s time to cultivate a new set & start a new journey. Combining will not “fix” the damage already done. I only lifted my ends for an ombré look and had to trim them due to slight breakage I definitely wary of bleach as even professionals cannot guarantee no damage. Thanks for sharing & good luck with your journey look forward to seeing the homemade shampoo bar video. 😊
As a loose natural I learned what weakens and strengthens my hair. While loc'd I know to keep chemicals out of my hair to keep it happy; with little maintenance. I believe our hair is different so it's a good idea to develop a relationship with your own hair. Finding out what you like and what it likes and maintain balance if it's compromising.
Glad to see ya!! The same thing happened to my first set of locs..they were long thick and beautiful and when I started coloring my locs they became damaged. Now on my second set and no coloring if anything ill do a temporary color but that's about it...hope everything works out for you!
Mannn…I like the color tho 😩😩😭😭 there has to be a way to color but still maintain strength. That’s why I wanna try maybe once a year and see if my hair can handle it
Sis! I’m so sorry this happened to you. I did watch your prior videos before watching this one. However, I knew you were doing too much with the coloring. In my opinion bleaching is a no-no for all types of hair. It ruins the texture. You had such beautiful locs in which you took so much time to grow. I’m only 4 months in my loc journey and I’ve been learning so much of what NOT to do. I hope your hair recovery is a success.✨
Sorry this happened, I used to bleach my hair on a regular. Never ever had any damage I do believe that you lifted your color too many levels too quickly. One thing about hair is it grows back! Definitely start protein treatments. Research Aphogee 2 Step
This happened to me with my first set of locs. It completely destroyed my hair and end up having to comb them out. I locked my hair up again and won't bleach them again..I hope you're hair turns out ok
@@TheSimpleFarmacistPlease make sure to use neutralizing shampoo to stop the chemical process and maybe some type of product like (Olaplex) to put the bonds back in the hair shaft. Also, Is it possible to get that same color without using bleach?
I actually use products like mixed chicks leave in and carols daughters leave ins as they are designed to absorb into the hair follicle and I haven’t had any issues with buildup in my locs. I also dyed my hair so moisturizing is hella important, but yeah try over conditioning for a while with some leave in creams even, that are designed to absorb into the hair.
Hey beauty!! Starting my loc journey again! Totally feel like a bald eagle but this season of life, I have not cared about the opinions of others. The journey will be worth it. Your hair will be repaired. It still looks great. Trusting the process is the frustrating part. And I’m here for all of it!!
Thank you for sharing. My locs went through this also after I bleached them back in 2020. They liked like they had gone through a shredder! It was pretty disappointing.
@@TheSimpleFarmacistI would just let my hair grow out and slowly cut out the damage without starting over completely. Then, only color my roots if necessary with a lightener other than bleach. I would never do any chemical process without using a neutralizing shampoo.🤷🏽♀️
Oh wow, yeah, bleach is a big No for me. Bleach damaged my loose natural hair in the past. Hopefully, you don't plan to bleach again cause I don't think this set will survive. Another option is that you could use a color only (honey blonde), no bleach
Started following probably 2 yrs ago because i felt like wow what a beautiful woman of God i cant describe how great energy you had worth is more than money so i subscribed and here for support . Im like 1 year and 6months in on my loc journey.

Oh dang, that’s scary! I’m still planning on bleaching my hair 😅 but I’m thinking maybe just once a year cuz this is trash

you may want to try a neutralizing shampoo to stop the chemical process, ORS creamy aloe shampoo is a good one

Yea it’s freakin heartbreaking cuz you love the color but hate how weak your hair is. I feel baldheaded

Trust me you can cut it you’re a gorgeous young lady.
Cream of nature is quite good yet protective hair dye....try the Shea butter one. Do you still microneedle? Your skin is so beautiful omggg ❤
Oh interesting, I’ll look into that brand. Haven’t done Microneedling on my face in a while. Mostly just do pico laser occasionally
So happy to see you back 🥰
Thank you! Glad to be back
I really like this color though!!!!
It’s the over bleaching, maybe you could have gotten away with that 1st bleaching. You’re still cute tho
Aphogee 2 step protein treatment followed by a deep conditioner could help.
do you have small rubber bands thru out your hair??

Oh that’s a great idea, I’m gonna look into color only no bleach. Thank you!!
