    The fact that Prime Remastered is running on an updated version of RUDE is a good indication that Prime 4 will also run on RUDE. Can't wait to see what Retro does with a new game built on the engine!

      Metriod Prime Remastered was actually finished a couple of years before it released on the Switch. The R.U.D.E Engine for Metriod Prime 4 is going to be even more advanced evolved.
      Half of the original Retro Studios team who developed Metriod Prime 3 are still there. Plus tons of great hires from Naughty Dog etc.
      Metriod Prime 4 is going to be the showcase graphical game during the Switch 2 reveal. As well as also releasing on the Switch as a swansong.

    maybe all 3 are valid? Haha.

    Seriously, if you haven't downloaded Prime World Editor yet and played around with the scripting system they're talking about, it's pretty cool. Definitely not Unreal Blueprints or anything, but for 2001 it's a really good scripting system.

    The game engine sounds much like any other game engine with features intact. Like in Valve's Source engine, you can create a invisible box, attach ragdoll into it and make it fly away. However some other engines take the scripting system a lot further than that. So you dont need a coder, just a scripter to make stuff happen on the engine itself.

      I think that studios making new engines is really cool. Unreal looks absolutely gorgeous, but still, it's great to see new and unique ones, especially for a game like Prime where it's engine and visual appearance was such a distinctive part of it's identity.

      No there not 🤦🏾‍♂️
      Nintendo wouldn't have spent a fortune over the last 4 years hiring tons of new Retro Studios staff who have previously worked on - Halo, Tomb Raider, Battlefield, Deus Ex, Call Of Duty, Borderland, Uncharted & The Last Of Us series - to then shut down Retro Studios!
      Ps. credible leaks say Metriod Prime 4 game development is complete. And that it looks incredible, best looking Nintendo franchise game yet!
      Supposedly Nintendo are at the marketing planning stage. With Metriod Prime 4 to release next year as a Switch 2 launch title.

    • @C--A
      @C--A 11 месяцев назад

      @@Austinator0630 So why is Tropical Freeze there last project they put out so far?
      - Because Retro Studios have been busy since 2019 developing Metriod Prime 4 for the Switch & Switch 2. As well as improving their R.U.D.E game engine. You can't rush the development of AAA games or the finished product will suffer in quality!
      Why haven't we heard any official news about Metriod Prime 4 despite the success of Metriod Prime Remastered?
      - Because Nintendo own Retro Studios and it's in their best interest to not talk about Metriod Prime 4 until it's unveiled at the Switch 2 reveal. Metriod Prime 4 will be the main game showcased for the Switch 2 reveal.
