If you're really concerned about your RUclips and trying to make it big enough to live off of, I would say that there are a few things you should keep in mind. Obviously growth is exponential, so the larger you are, the faster you grow. As things are now, its pretty likely you'll hit some crazy sub count (since you get a guaranteed ~1 sub per video right now), but the issue is that it'll take so long that the number you reach won't even be as impressive as it was when you started. I think the key to building influence in this generation is through burst virality, rather than consistent building of a fanbase. To achieve that, you need to create an appeal to your content that most people can appreciate at a glance, rather than content that's related to more obscure topics. There's a million ways to fish for trying to go viral, but its arguably the simplest for musical artists. Just make a dope ass song that appeals to the majority of people. If you wanted to go down a route similar to what Quadeca does on his channel and do more creative ventures alongside your serious music, you would likely need to find an entertaining idea that no one has thought of yet. Even then, Quadeca arguably went viral when he beefed with KSI, so he kinda followed the formula of going viral and then keeping those new fans interested with consistency. In short, keep looking for ways to improve your content and your music, and think of every time you upload as a chance to go viral. As long as you keep improving your music and content creativity, those chances will increase and you'll get your break.
