- Following my last video on Ant's Chrysler Valiants, this is his 99% completed 1970 VG Valiant Pacer. A lovely example of a classic Australian car.
The original video has been very popular... view it here • Car Stories | Ant and ...

Very Nice Ride, Sadly for VG's, I had a AP6, which I had a Pacer Interior fitted, I liked those Tombstone Buckets & Rear Seat, Nice to see NOT all VG's were stripped for Spares ..
Gotta love a vg
Owned 3 pacers dark blue VF / mustard VG and a VH Factory 4 speed . 👍🏻🇦🇺my oldest brother bought a 2 door VG orange 🍊 Pacer in Dubbo NSW new traded a FB Holden Ute on it . Also had but not road worthy a VG Pacer big tank in the orange / red colour same colour as yours it end up bring parted out 😥.
My dad used to drive this everyday - a regal one with a hemi engine
Top work as per, Bryce 👍🏼See you for the RX-3 episode 😄
Thanks, mate. Defo! 👍
Dad bought a white VG Pager new in 1970. Lots of memories riding in that car. Mum loved driving it, too. Cheers.
Thanks for that 🙂 cars are definitely a LOT more than the sum total of their parts, for sure. My mum drove a Charger too back in the day. She's only 5 feet tall and knocking on 80 now 😉
@@BryceBrown1 Ha! Mum was 5 foot 2 and wheeled the VH Regal 770 318 that replaced the Pacer around Sydney’s North Shore for years. I learned to drive and passed my driving test in that beast. Great to see them. 👍
@@phillipleeds296 brilliant!
Really nice VG Pacer!
Their was a vg two door pacer here in new zealand gore i have moved away for many years now but they are very rare here in two door.
In the early eighties I had a 245 two barrel ,3 on the column manual VG sedan ,it ran strong ,I wish I still had it ,Id do a Pacer replica, probably in Hot Mustard. Actually that VG was written off after being rear ended by a very tidy VF sedan, it turned out that the VF's front end was rebuilt using my VG for parts .Later on I imported a VG Pacer 2 door hardtop in Hemi Orange, after I sold it, it ended up with a crunched front end as well .
It seemed those two were destined to merge, one way or another! Thanks for sharing 👍 I personally had a 69 Safari in baby blue, power rear window, small v8. Cool car.
I paid 800 bucks for my pacer with a d331b in it still got it after 38 year's Il never give it up
Good on you! So many people regret selling...
@@BryceBrown1 can't beat a pacer on value they had all the good stuff over stock version and charger came along so fast and over shadowed it which was sad as it had good promise at the time
They do and now most people are realising there probably Gona be more rare and valuable than charger@@BryceBrown1
Funny how that gate seems to be open just when you need it to be … .
Hi Bruce, ich bin erfreut, wie sauber und ordentlich es da bei euch aussieht❗👍👍 Rote Autos, gefallen mir persönlich nicht‼
Thanks.. it's more orange and an original colour as far as I know. Thanks for watching 🙂👍
@@BryceBrown1, immer gerne wieder❗
4th out right at 1970 bathurst wonderful
G'day Mate, where did you get the rims and tyre's from?
Hey mate, not my car, I'm just the guy behind the camera 😉 I'll post if I can find out. Cheers.
Thanks Mate.@@BryceBrown1
VG Pacer without brake power booster and if I recall they had single exhaust
Correct
My E31 was bought of Southern Chrysler in Melbourne. The mechanics enjoyed servicing at their workshop and one mechanic a Kiwi bloke from Todd's in Auckland had my suspension handling really well and the 2 barrel engine set up to racing performance that clutches didn't last for more than 6 months but apart from that and an inadequate 3 speed manual box went really well and braking was superb
a guy that raced pacers for bathurst stated no booster prevented brake lockup before ABS brakes

Not ranges as such just different option codes
Greenfelder River
No black out hood
5 1/2 x14 inch steel rims not a strong point V8 performance in 1970
My 69 Safari had the baby V8 (a while back, now). I'm not sure what size. Yep, I regret selling it...
