On bro I took a break from watching family matters when she broke his heart when he was trying to give her a gift and she rejected and she made him cry and when Steve said it’s like touching a star you’ll never know how far you get there but you gotta keep trying I cried the rest of the day but I decided to get back watching it when Steve stood up to Laura i got turned up
As a girl who grew up in the 90s, watching this faithfully, I was always so mad at how Laura treated Steve, but she had no problems accepting gifts or things he wanted to do for her knowing how he felt for her and knowing she would never feel the same in return. So this episode makes me so happy because it reflects something that I went through myself with someone that I loved and he didn’t love me back.
This moment was so satisfying, And yea I can imagine, I had a similar moment with my ex, where I just had a enough of the gaslighting, the manipulation EVERYTHING
I will say this if that was Carl in this issue steve will called him out like that and the way Carl treat him like dirt said Steve just because steve is inoring and clumsy doesn’t mean they have to treat him that way after all these 9 seasons and finally they give him the respect he need
The Winslow family always cared for him as they let Steve live - albeit reluctantly - in their house after his parents moved to Russia and they did help him out on occasion. They didn't see eye to eye some times, that is true, but they did consider him part of the family as the show went on, especially during the last season when Steve and Laura started dating and got engaged...
This scene made me cry tears of joy when I first saw it on TV as a little kid. And to this day, it still holds up. From Sonic to Urkel, Jaleel White is THE MAN. :D
Lisa never liked Screech, though. Whereas, Laura had feelings for Steve the whole while. She didn’t always understand her feelings for him, because of the lack of maturity and experience, and there’s a better than good chance that she didn’t want to have feelings for him. But she did. Remember in season 2, Laura set Steve up with Suzie, then got jealous? Laura’s words did not always match reality in regards to her feelings for Steve. One thing Laura made clear, though, she was not going to date him. And I don’t blame her. He was absolutely, positively ridiculous! She was mean to him out of frustration. Steve had her heart, but her brain would not cooperate. She betrayed her own heart.
@@daw91210 Well there were indications that Lisa did like Screech as a friend, but did not want to admit it, just because he was not considered a popular kid, and she was concerned about her own popularity. She wasn’t attracted to him in a romantic way, and did not want to date him, which was her right, but she was often over the top with insulting him, even when he was trying to do kind things for her. So I think there were times when he should have stood up to her and demanded more respect from her.
Actually Screech did make Lisa look dumb. The Prom Episode when Kelly Couldn’t afford to go to the Prom with Zack due her Father losing his Job! Screech asked Lisa to the Prom, and they agreed to go on a group date only for Screech to complain about how talkative Lisa was during the movie. He even shaded her at the Prom when Lisa was dancing with a guy who told her she talks too much and Screech comically says Now You See Why I Dumped The Babe! Lol
@@rayshardrobinson7878Lisa certainly was very rude to Screech in that movie theater scene. I think the other time when Screech should have stood up to her was when she refused to do the class marriage project with him. He should have told her “ I bet a lot of other students did not get paired up with their first choice either, but they still have to do the project, why shouldn’t you?”
“Look l love you with all my heart but just because you don’t love me back doesn’t get you the right to treat me like dirt. I’m a person, and I have feelings, and I demand to be treated with respect and dignity.” And yall dont think that’s one of the best lines in sitcom history I don’t know what is.
Yeah Steve... you did all that knowing damn well that woman has no respect or love for you. Of course, you don't have to take her shit, but let's be accountable. You put yourself in that situation and you're getting what you consistently settled for. Glad you're waking up though.
She did learn a lesson, for a while, but it just needed to be reinforced now and then. Because of her immaturity, it was often easy for her to slip back into selfishness. But I like the fact that she usually admitted the error of her ways when confronted about it.
"I will NOT sleep in the bathtub. YOU'RE gonna sleep in the bathtub!" Damn straight Steve.
I’m glad Steve finally put this girl in her place
Imagine if Thors hammer Mjolnir just appeared in jaleels hand after the lightning strike
Facts my nigga
@Trevin Carroll We all agree with you on that. We're all glad Urkel stood up to this stuck up bee-yotch. Best Family Matters moment ever!

"Ohhhh, put a cork in it, missy" 🤣 . My favorite line.
I'm glad he stood up for himself cuss everything he said was right.
Very proud of him.
“Ohhh put a cork in it, missy” is being added to the vocabulary for 2025
That’s right Steve tell her like it is
The lightning after Steve pops out the bathroom and said No lmao
Jaleel would've made an excellent addition to the Avengers
Steve has raiden power
Thor was all, "don't worry Steve, I got you bro!"

Steve Finally put his foot down and checked Laura 👏👏👏
I love this scene, Steve told it like it is.
Steve had said my simping days are over lol
He had a better woman which is Myra
The 70s 80s 90s sitcom was awesome.

I got such a kick out of this.

i would've
Screech should have done this to Lisa.

The funny thing is, when she defended him she would tell people that he has feelings
Laura wan't even that hot!! Myra on the other hand!! R.I.P
Laura got sexier and thicker towards the end of the show. That short hair, lips, and behind, blossomed very nicely.
Even Urkel can be pushed too far
Won't Sleep in the bath tub....but willing to put on a DRESS...smh......for the love of money 😢
Urkel Went Off On Laura 😂😂😂
I am so glad, he did .
