Sasha and his girlfriend Lisa have decided to travel to Venice after they graduate from college, but Lisa’s parents have different ideas. They are hoping to secure a prestigious job for their daughter by introducing her to an influential family friend - Leonid Yakovlevich and his son Igor.

Happy ending is not the reality always. Russian movie shows reality of life and not false ending.

That was a really good end in only one case, it’s a lesson to know never go back to your past love. Also lesson two never go back to person who once let your love down.

Finished too quickly, didn't expect the ending
Wow! What an ending! I didn't mind the tragedy of it all, but I felt that it was poorly constructed and too rushed. It would have worked much better as a 4-part series of 50-minute episodes. There was too much that was under-explained and unresolved.

The ending was a shock but with watching these types of movies I hate to say I already knew what was coming... 😟 these dramas hurt so bad but they're so good
What a beautiful story and Sasha such an honest loving caring humble simple person. Why did this story have to end with him being killed????? I know this is how corporate companies work.....but do mistakes made in teenage, have to end so horrifically???

Immaturity... Can not decide anything in right time
I believe it was not about Sasha.
It was a message about "being a Lisa".. she didn't learn in the end, even after her path of destruction.
Because, yet another time - she isn't listening to her heart. But to what Igors' father is saying to her. As she did what her father told her.
She was going to break Sasha's heart again. And while she lost him once, she allowed herself to lose him twice.
While she "lost her lover" once, she also "lost her new lover" while at it.
For me it was a really strong message, that Lisa is irresponsible and dangerous.
She keeps "suffering" the situations she created. Why idn't she visit her mother and father, whom sighs that she is "blinded with luxury and materialism" ? Which shows she has been selfish for those 10 years. She could've taken care for her mother as well.
She did give off double signals to Igor. She did accept his invitations and wear his watch. And, implied, the job offer.
She didn't mention her boyfriend to Igor and lied to both Igor and Sasha.
She could have called Sasha 10 years earlier. She could have ran his door or talk to his mother - whom she had a bound with. And whom told her how Sasha is committed to her for life.
She could've gone to the train station. She could've looked him up. She didn't have to start "a loveles marriage and get a daughter". But is, once again, ready to destroy what a man thinks they're constructing together. Everyone is looking out for her, her future and her feelings. She is even "helped through university" by the family she leaves for another one. (whom now have to mourn the loss of the son after the loss of the father...)
And still, she is left as "the victim of fate" ?

When ten years has passed, and Igor and Lisa are married, and Lisa is going to go to their class reunion and Igor doesn't want her to go, and she asks why, Igor says it's because reunions "are just an illusion of being young again.". He's right. I remember my ten year reunion. All the girls who were hot before, weren't hot anymore. And all the guys who were jocks, weren't jocks anymore either. They were all overweight and flabby.
Of course, Igor's real reason for not wanting Lisa to go was because he didn't want her to meet up with Sasha again, especially because Sasha had become a successful lawyer, but Igor was right about the youthfulness thing.
A really good movie. I've learned to like Russian movies through the years, and that is alot coming from this American boy.
Did not expect such a tragic end.

Well I'm actually getting used to these Russian endings. Sad to say in situations like this...no one wins anyway. Russian actors are so interesting.

On Media Star this movie was announced as a series of 4 episodes. The first episode ended without sequals. This indicates that an important actor refused to continue. Then that actor dies in the first episode. That single episode is then later declared a movie. Russian style negotiations between directors , lawyers and actors.

A 'Tragedy' movie or play is one thing, There are lessons and growth in them. But this movie, although well acted and produced, was not thematically reasonable.

Wow did nobody understand this movie?? He got the papers that would implicat her to keep her and her daughter safe. He knew he would die. Her father threw her away because he didn't get whathe wanted, now he has to live with himself for trying to get revenge. It was better to implicte her husband for murder. I LOVED this movie sad but moving.😱😰😉
A very promising plot, but it seems that the writers didn't know how to end it, or they were in a hurry. Very disappointing.

I don't like that Sasha dies but Liza and he won't be happy together. She's too weak. Even in the beginning of their college courtship she's already lying to Sasha. And Sasha's obsession with her is not healthy; he's a principled man and will come to hate the way she is, and himself for giving in.
Lisa+Sasha= Perfect match.... though things didn't go as I expected 🤔🤔🤔...am disappointed.
Start from the end and do not waste your time, I already did.

Everyone makes so many mistakes. Before the end, Sasha has bought back the last book and booked two flights. The end is at first reminiscent of Liza's errors, accepting the expensive gift, being late, not on time. Then, Liza's violent wealthy husband makes mistake after mistake, alienating and enraging his father-in-law and father's business partner, threatening his wife, drinking too much, assuming his wife's lover has the file on him, and killing him. Then, we watch as the police seem without a clue, but then the man who accepted Liza's father's proposition sits down in the office, his head in his hands. In the end, you have to wonder, will this devious fellow lawyer hold back the murder evidence? Is this movie a warning about criminal elements getting away with evil? Or does he do what is right, preventing further tragedy? And this movie is a warning against lack of foresight in dealing with others.
Well, he will rot in jail which is quite fair.😂😂😂

I pushed like because it was all good except for the ending. If I see I liked it it means I've watched it and hopefully I won't forget how terrible the ending was because I certainly don't want to watch it again.
