Another strategy to help control recoil I never hear mentioned is pumping the trigger on controller. If you pump the trigger at the correct pace you can get the same fire rate as holding it down but with considerably easier recoil. Kinda like how you control cars in some racing games by pumping the gas.
It’s a strategy that doesn’t take anything away from recoil control/knowledge or recoil smoothing in any way whatsoever! It actually immediately helps add to both of those aspects of the game. And of course it’s use is somewhat situational (aiding guns that you’re having trouble with at a distance).

Much easier to just learn a basic pattern so you can focus on tracking better

If you can't get that down, start by just pulling down. That eliminates most of the recoil with some room for error.

The best way to control recoil is to strafe right or left and to move your mouse the opposite direction of the strafe while shooting. Trust me

L-Star kicks for the first 3-4 rounds, then fires straight fort he rest. Account for the first few, then hold that fucker down.

a real ez way of eliminating recoil is when ur strafing left u pull ur aim to the right it works vice versa. It basically eliminates all ur recoil.
This is outdated a bit with the spitfire bit light. PRO TIP: get use to moving sideways as shooting and there will be no recoil!

Just strafe. Apex eliminates recoil if you strafe over a certain speed

Also play on 110 view, I changed from 100 to 110, and started beaming on another scale, something about the view helps control guns.
It’s visual recoil. The lower the fov the more visual recoil you get as well as the actual recoil
