Thank you for your videos. I trained in karate as a young kid and teenager. Since then i havent trained and recently broke my left foot. I had to have surgery. Well now at age of 35, I realized I need training again to better myself. Your videos are my motivation. Thank you again.

My wife and I started Tae Kwon Do in our 40's, along with our 3 boys. We all tested for and received our black belts 2 years ago, including my boys, who were 8, 12, and 14 at the time. At the testing I had to mock spar against an 82 year old lady! If she can do it, so can you. Best of luck. Work hard.

  • @kentreborn2027

Its not easy getting to that level, I am training in a chinese dojo.... let me tell you this now... you walk in all ready and you walk out slumped over, drenched in your sweat, and ultra tired. Its no walk in the park, it requires intense motivation... matter of fact 10 other students had already dropped out of the class (we started with thirty).

Well done. I know how you feel about doing TKD with your sons. I got my 1st dan in 1991. Left TKD in 1996. Now I've returned my sons and I will probably go for 2nd dan test in a few month. I'm over 50 but my jumps still give the younger kids in the class for their money - apparently the result of rigorous training in my younger days. :D

I trained in Houston with Grandmaster He Il Cho at Cho's Taekwondo and his sons. And I was very lucky to be able to afford his school, but learned from the best in Texas at the time. I would have loved to train under you as you and Mr Cho have very dynamic and effortless kicking skills. Very light on the feet and surgeon skill technique. If you get a chance look him up. He was very popular all through the 70's-90's and still teaches even now. He was the Korean coach in the movie Best of the best with Eric Roberts and James Earl Jones. I am now subscribing to your channel. I'm 43 now and my last belt test was back in 95 ( I'm old ) LOL.at which I stopped at brown. I still have decent technique and remember pivoting rules, but my leg muscles are crap and I couldn't hold a front kick out now without cramping. I am buying a BOB kicking dummy for my apartment as it is better than a heavy bag. Thanks for the great videos. ;) Dallas, Tx

Thank you for your support :) That makes no difference to me as I do several and it's all about what you enjoy to do. I'm glad you think so and I appreciate you saying that :)

A really great performance, thankyou for taking the time to make this video. Few seconds are sufficient to appreciate your balance and the fact that's important to reduce energy expense to the bare minimum. Unfortunately I'm 38 so too old for this, I think, but I'll try to "remember" this video in my next life. Inspiring, thanks again.

I haven't done ITF style of TKD in about 15 years. Didn't know it still existed after the death of Gen. Choi.
I appreciate your vids and looking to get back into it.
