The spirit is influenced by what is received by the soul. “Man is a spirit who lives in a body and possesses a soul” and our spirit is how we connect ourselves to infinite intelligence/good. We need to heed the things in which we consume but God gives us freedom of choice. Who we are is solely based on our decisions and ours alone. Every decision we make has consequences but to be prosperous in life you first have to be prosperous in your soul.

We have to be careful what the soul (mind, will and emotions) is surrounded with.. it can be against what the spirit needs.
