What a fantastic train wreck of random awesome ideas! I love it! You are very creative. I have done some of the stuff you have done but not all of them. I love it when other creators get me to think and see projects differently. Thank you for sharing.
I would be very curious how long the black paint on the faucet lasted. Did it start chipping. It seems like a great idea but I'm skeptical. Cant imagine it lasting past a couple months. Hope I'm wrong.
Merina on her Fearfully Created YT channel painted her taps & her kitchen sink. A year on, the taps are still good, but the sink it's all chipping off very badly.
Some of those were full cringe DIY gone bad. But the shiplap over the popcorn ceiling and the molding on the bedroom wall.....huge improvement for very little money. Keep the taste level up. Skip the spray painting, brick treatments, and even worse, faux brick treatments. Yikes.
😂😂😂😂😂 Nailing, plastering and caulking all these things onto walls when it could of been simply paint. Only thing missing here is wall paper. Nightmare to remove.
Shame on Hometalk for showing people using a nail gun without wearing eye protection--especially using it overhead! I have a friend who lost an eye that way.
Wow, I have to agree with you on that, but then again, people ought to know better. It's common sense... Sorry for your friend who lost an eye that way 💔
@@kellyanne7225yeah I’m a pretty huge fan of natural selection nowadays. The laziness of some people not even willing to consider their own safety.. yikes. Let them figure it out.
Fast forward 30 years and popcorn ceilings will become the wood floors of today that were covered by carpet. “Hey look what I found!” “Why would anyone cover this up?”
Asbestos…. That’s why we cover them up. Our house was built in 78, two years before the ban of asbestos in popcorn ceilings. Sent a sample in for a test and BOOM! Asbestos. So we either paint over it, cover it up like this, or pay a premium for a company to professionally remove it. It’s between the first two lol!
Ceilings: Thin sheet rock has been used for years to cover popcorn, instead of scraping. Quicker, easier less messy. Even of you used 1/2", it's still easier and cleaner than scraping popcorn. Just take your time and don't slop mud all over the place. (IMHO of course)
First time I've seen them so it works for me. Actually planning to use this vid to show my contractor what I want done with my fireplace. Sorry you're bummed, but I'm glad they recycled the projects. Have a nice day.

I love what you did to the popcorn ceiling!
I would love to know how to do all of these things. I've always wanted to. It must be nice to have your knowledge and tools and expertise.

Excellent video!!!!
Super ideas... Loved it👍🏻
These were some really fantastic ideas 👍
Great video up to -3:48 then the video goes high speed and I don't know what in the heck they are doing except giving me motion sickness.
Did you know you can set the playback speed to your liking?

Get a life
Yikes!
People do need to be responsible for their own safety.
If it’s common sense, why isn’t the woman in the video, who is claiming to have something to teach people, wearing safety glasses?

Oooh I did not like that brick fireplace or the beads in the bathroom…..oh and the brick on the wall in the dining room? Why??

I guarantee that will never happen but oh you GOT ME SO BAD 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Instead of pulling the caulking gun down a seam, push it. You’ll get a much smoother bead.
Is there a link to the type of board you used over the popcorn ceiling?
Regular shiplap you can buy at Home Depot.
Omg some things were nice but those bricks were awful!! Those black taps? The black tiles round the bath? Sometimes it spoilt what was there already
I think shiplap looks cheap, it would look better to just remove it
You don't make sure vertical boards are "level." They need to be PLUMB!

What kind of paint was she using to paint those bathrooms tiles when she was in the bath tub?
What if the ceiling has a leak?
It may be "NEW", but it sure ain't "genius"!
😂
Wow!
Muxh better sound✌️
So much shiplap. Hang on for the video on updating the Florida condo that id 90% shiplap!😅
I suppose if you want ROUGH AS GUTS looking interior design then this is the channel for you.
Another way is caulking
i loved the wallpaper behind the stairs, that was a good idea I love it.
That looks even worse…
REPEATS AGAIN !!

This is one cost a few hundred to do..who can afford that
Who'd want to... 99% of this stuff was just gross and tacky looking.
@@cctomcat321The first two looked fine.
Edit: the three at the beginning.
It looks great but scraping and texting way easier! Just saying then glue nailing and cutting the pieces
Omg. 😂😂😂😂
terrible
